You guys knew exactly what it meant to fight to keep the Kings so why would it ever be okay with helping a shady billionaire like John Fisher and put Oakland and it's fans at a disadvantage? You guys know better!
Oakland is a hell hole with no hope of coming out of the doom loop. Unlike the Kings Fans that fought for their team, the A’s fans abandoned their team by not showing up. Lowest attendance for years.
The Giants denied an A's move to San Jose that could've prevented all this. I hope they deny permission to play in Sacramento bc it would be so damn funny to make Fischer homeless. If he wants to move to Vegas so badly he should be playing in the Triple-A park in Summerlin he already owns
Stop blaming the Giants for the A's problems. Plus, not sure San Jose would've worked for the A's anyway... The A's had Howard Terminal in the bag and Fisher balked.
@@86byrdmanWhy not blame the Giants? Especially after Walter Haas helped prevent them from moving to Florida back in the day. Just out of pure kindness. Fuck the Giants.
The Giants are to blame. The A’s would have profited in San Jose. The Giants don’t want the A’s in the Bay Area at all. They influenced MLB to vote for the move to Vegas.
As soon as the A's "temporarily" plant themselves in Sacramento, Fisher can start playing Las Vegas and Sacramento against each other and "we" will be urged to pony up a bunch of money to upgrade our minor-league ballpark to MLB standards or "we'll lose our A's and won't be a world-class city anymore, etc..." The Warriors, the Raiders, and now the A's have shafted their Oakland fanbase. I don't want them here.
Maybe it was the City of Oakland and Alameda County that shafted the A’s. Just like the Warriors and Raiders. That’s why they all left. If you can’t even keep In and Out, how can you keep a sports franchise.
Don't be saps. I hope nobody allows the A's to play in their stadiums anywhere. Let them play in their own minor league AAA stadium in Vegas instead of playing everyone else for suckers.
"Sources indicate the A's, who currently pay just $1.5 million in rent to play in the Coliseum, offered a two-year deal and payments of $7 million and $10 million over the course of the lease, contending they have options after two seasons." So, yeah, might be looking to move a year earlier, after two years. Not sure where? Vegas for a year?
the firms hired to build the ballpark are way ahead of schedule and much of the stadium can be prefabricated off site... I hear from people close to the project they are confident they can open in 2027 instead of 2028.
Interesting, with that A's quote from ESPN article it makes sense. They are saying two years but aren't going to Vegas until the stadium is ready. @@togoandmoss
The economic impact would be in the tens of millions of dollars I am sure ... with all the additional regional and national broadcasts .. fans support filling up restaurants and bars out of town fans booking hotels. City of Oakland refuses to extend the lease, so the opportunity is open.
City of Oakland literally offered a 5 year extension for a fair compensatory price. Don't know what you're talking about when you say the city "refuses" to extend
Sacramento is trying to get an MLB expansion team thats the only reason they are willing to let the A's play there so MLB can consider them as a contender for expansion. Sacramento is going to make everyone in Northern California a Giants fan 😂😂😂😂

Yeah why not just do that for now? It's better than yet ANOTHER lame duck season in Oakland.
Three Four and More , Major League Baseball ⚾ in West Sacramento !!!! Thank you Mayor Martha Guerrero !!!! "Let's play ball into the future" !!!!

Screw John fisher
A's aren't going to Vegas. It will be Sacramento permanently!!!
STAY IN OAKLAND!!!
Come to Sacramento. Less crazy politicians, safer area, not in a doom loop.
Well, the stadium is not actually in Sacramento. It is in West Sacramento in Yolo County !
yes a's in sacramento so we can watch all other mlb teams
It's probably just to get Las Vegas to move faster.
A's did offer two years, 7 and 10 M reportedly. Only 2 years with the idea that they had some options for the third year?

Who would want to pay 19 million more for rent. There are tons of empty baseball stadiums in America.
There's an idea. They could move into the Astrodome or RFK Stadium.
I hope they stay in Sacramento. They have one of the lowest if not the lowest payrolls in baseball. Cheap ass owner. No thanks.

Under a different city government Oakland/East Bay can get sports back just remember u have to provide subsidies or lose ur team
