I'm honestly enjoying Mech Arena. It's quick rounds so it's easy to play and put down. Yeah there is lots of pushing you to spend real money but it's not absolutely needed to be good at it.

If this was included in the newest Kirby game, it could've been a game of the year contender. Having mini games in a main game is great for a longer lasting exp.

KATFL is still a game of the year contender, it may not BE game of the year, but it's definitely up there
recent nintendo games are all lacking in minigames, i really miss them. it gives you a break from the story and sometimes minigames are even better than the main game!
Got the game. It's fun and there's a ton of stuff to unlock. The game's longevity is a bit concerning though. Hopefully Nintendo decides to support this game with updates or free DLC in the future.

The online is pretty rough. Delayed inputs keep sending myself and others of the ledge. It's stupid fun still. 🙃 lots of cosmetic unlockables and kirbo is cute af in this game. Worth $15 imo. Hope they fix online.

My only disappointment was that there was no story mode. I wanna know the secret behind the dream fork. Gameplay is super fun though.

Not gonna lie the graphics look pretty good. The shading and texturing on the food looks very realistic, reminds me of that one Super Mario Party mini game where you have to fry a square piece of meat and it looked surprisingly realistic lol.

this just reminds me of the wave racer mini game in Kirby and The Magic Mirror (my first kirby game ever) obviously fleshed out way more and defintley slightly inspired like party games like fall guys
This feels like something that should have been packaged as free with the upgraded NSO. Now im still happy with the pricing they chose and the game looks pretty quality/good (though i assume online will be awful), just seems really strange for Nintendo... Hope they keep it up though.

Oh hey that's me in the footage lol good game this morning !!! tbh my only issue with the game is input lag but that's an issue with every online Nintendo game except MK8D and Splatoon
I like it for what it is. Nice, casual fun. Most likely won't have the player longevity overtime, but that's usually the eventual fate of online Kirby games.
Nintendo* games. I was just thinking about how frustrating Nintendo's philosophy is when they refuse to follow game industry standards like supporting games after release whether through free content updates or paid dlc, lack of meaningful online experiences, constantly making fans rebuy games just to play on the latest console instead of allowing digital purchases from the last 10 years to be carried over using the Nintendo accounts systems they've created over the years. Nintendo is just Bethesda JP. Every once in a while they release great games but a majority of the time they're rereleasing old titles on new consoles. Dont even get me started on the hardware issues...

Actually when you've seen the whole video.... The only 1 big critic you seem to have lies in the online thing furthermore there is not much critic... So that actually makes the game itself a good/great game
I just don't understand why Nintendo puts out online multiplayer anymore... Their online playability sucks so bad.. For example i play TMNT a lot on Sony PlayStation which had always worked perfect for me! No slow downs, lots of players and no kick out of game... With Nintendo there are not much players, there are constant slow downs and freezes (even in single player sometimes) and i also get kicked out of the game completely due to errors i really think the problems which hold Nintendo back is the outdated old and slow hardware the switch itself is....

Should have been a additional mode in Forgotten Land instead of a separate release.
I have 2 gripes, number 1 I wish the mini game rounds were longer, like twice as long lol and number 2 the online aspect can be really shotty at times, like almost unplayable, I just play against the computer most of the time because you will seriously blow a gasket trying to make it through an online session sometimes, like it’s seems like completely separate game just trying to maneuver against the lag
If they keep adding content to this game I think it’s longevity will last longer like new levels and skins
You can actually unlock new courses for races,battle royale,mini games.

We all thought Kirby Dream Buffet was a Fall Guys Style Game and it looks very fun aswell but you can't have whack Online, especially if you are Paying £15 for it.
I wonder if Nintendo should have had this Free too Play for the first Month or so, just too get everyone checking it out and a 10 or 20 Player Mode would have been great aswell.
Tbh, I'm not expecting the world when it's only $15 bucks... 😅 Yes, there are some MASTERPIECES that are around that price... But they are just the exception (?)
Probably getting this just BECAUSE it's a light, fun game that I can play with a buddy sometime. Sucks to hear that the online aspect isn't great right now, but hopefully that does improve.

At one point of the video I decided to fast forward every second for 10 seconds and till the end of the video the only word I could hear like 10 times in a row was : STRAWBERRIES.

I’d say this game is basically Gourmet Race but 3D and you roll Kirby
Same thing goes for most Party games even Mario Party. It's fun but a lot less fun if you're playing random people or the computer all the time.
MP1 at least added a ton of unlockable stuff and unique multiplayer levels you could unlock by earning coins. Then get your friends together and play.
Online crap really blows because half the companies unlock everything I'm exchange for the online mode. If rather not have access to say Spiderman in a fighting game until I've unlocked him at home. I go online and my opponents have characters I don't and I can unlock them I'm going to put more time into the game and feel more rewarded as I unlock unique usable things.
MarioKart works well where as long as one person owns or has the DLC or upgraded online subscription their friends can access the new content.
Still think it'd be better to unlock it via coins though. Give coins more use and if you're an avid player you'll have plenty banked.

You briefly mentioned CPUs - does that mean you can play offline? I don't get broadband in my area and would like to know before sinking $15 into it :')
But aside, I appreciate the information from your review. The longevity is a concern especially since you have to pay to get in, but I think that's why you only need four people to play. Less people will likely play over time, and a four person room will be easier to fill than however many Fall Guys calls for.

I feel like Nintendo learned from the criticism of the Mario sports games and now started adding a few more extra content so the game can be worth more of your time

I personally have had a lot more fun with this game than Fall Guys. Fall Guys is just so difficult and even more physics based. I’ve never been able to get far at all due to me not having the courage it play it a lot. This game has rounds that are short and sweet that just suit me more. I get why people prefer Fall Guys over this though. Good review!
