I've been listening to "Brother Johnny" since it's release and I thought it could win a Grammy and I'm so happy for Edgar! I've been a Winter Brothers fan for decades and I love "Brother Johnny" the record and the man!
This is probably one of the best albums I've heard in years! What phenomenal compilations! I am so glad to see that there are still of us old timers around who remember what good music is all about. I've been following Edgar and Johnny for decades and the music is still there. THANK YOU, Edgar for this amazing album!
Somehow missed this until now. Don’t watch ANY awards shows. However, I was listening (and still marveling) at Edgars ‘Tobacco Road’ on ‘Entrance’ today and this video came up. SO happy to see one of my rock heroes of all time win!?! Yeah . I was like.. wtf? Really? OMG! Saw Edgar a few years ago soon after Johnny died. He was so grateful for the cheers when he mentioned Johnny. My son was with me. SO glad, also, that I brought my son to see Johnny the year before. 27 year old son has those notches in his concert belt. We got to say a couple words to Johnny, too. He just said”thank you” . Sure miss that guy. Bless Edgar. What a wonderful brother.
I’ve been a huge fan of Edgar winters since his very first album Entrance. One of the most complete rock ‘n’ roll musicians ever along with having an amazing voice and his ability to play at least 15 instruments. Yes Edgar, keep on rockin!
I've alwys been a fan, but really took a liking for the man himself when I got to meet him in person around 1995. I was working at the Kern County Fairground and helping set up stages for musicians during the Fair. One was Edgar Winter. While we were working on finishing up putting the stage together, Edgar apparantly got bored and decided to come and check the tuning on the various instruments. What it turned into was hanging and chatting with possibly the coolest and friendliest musicians I've ever met while we were all working to prep the concert. My front row tickets were very much worth the price. A few year later, right after Facebook premiered I got a friend invited from him and found he still remembered hanging with us fair workers on that afternoon.
Congratulations Edgar, I've been recently learning about the blues, I'm still pretty new on this blues stuff, but I really like it and I'm going to try and learn some of "Brother Johnny's" guitar solo's, what an awesome guitar player he is. Oh, by the way I absolutely love your shirt!!! Rock On.
I don't pay attention to the Woke Grammys anymore or the awful music they promote. BUT this video came up in my news feed and was a very pleasant surprise. I'm glad for any recognition of the Winter brothers and their contributions to music.
When my grandpa was alive, he got the opportunity to play with Johnny winters, and sometimes I just want to sit and talk to Edgar winter just to see if he would know anything about his brother. Edit: it was in Carrboro, North Carolina in 1994
what do you mean ? I think you are saying Edger is a living legend and I agree also thumbs up for the lies over the crappy music. Bonnie Raitt is quit the blues woman too .
Edgar Winter has always been my favorite and it is fantastic he won the Grammy Well deserved

How disappointing that a real musical legend would appear among that shower...
what do you mean ? I think you are saying Edger is a living legend and I agree also thumbs up for the lies over the crappy music.
Bonnie Raitt is quit the blues woman too .
The Grammys are usually Woke trash and bad music. At least this is a step in the right direction.

The only thing contemporary about Edgar Winter MIGHT be his underwear
