    The first sitting posture tip is to make sure your hips and knees are at about a 90 degree angle. This is allows you to have good posture and distribute the weight evenly through out your body.
    The second way to correct your sitting posture is to keep your feet flat. If you are shorter, you can use a stool or box to make sure your feet aren't dangling down.
    The third one is to have a good neutral position in your low back area. Using a back cushion, like the Yokaro back cushion, is a great way to have support in your spine and keep you in an upright position. Using the Yokaro back cushion is an easy way to make sure your back gets the support it needs while maintaining correct sitting posture.
    The fourth posture tip is to have your hands, wrists, and elbows in a comfortable position. Having them too low or too high can cause pain in all those areas including your shoulders.

    I was used of hunching back. Now, I'm practising good posture but I'm getting upper backaches. I'm tempted to slouch.

    I normally work in a restaurant so I'm always standing and walking, which is great. But ever since the coronavirus hit... I've been out of work and sitting in my chair at my computer at home all the time. I've never experienced back pain like I am now... because I've never had to sit all the time before. I hate sitting. But these tips are nice, thanks.

    I've had bad low back pain recently, my job requires a lot of lifting and bending....Doing exercises but when sitting, I'm finding a very firm king size pillow behind the length of my spine to be super helpful. really relieves my pain and lets my spine align itself and rest without pain. amazing difference!

    i just put pillow in my seat and another on the top of the front top to help comfort my head, (all them all are hang tight with slim blanket)

    After watching this I think I’ve messed up my back siting are a desk all day and some most nights I’m in so much pain laying down hurts siting up hurts I just want to slouch to make it go away my neck hurts and have awful headaches. Is it to late to repair so to speak?

    Dr Jo please help me get answers. I have a bad posture and my back has been hurting for a year now and I didnt mind it cause i thought massage can help (from a therapist) but it’s not working. Now I my left feet is numb and has this tingling feeling up to my pelvis. Help! Im nervous to go to the doctor :(

    Hi Doctor Jo, If I sit on a chair without any back support, is it my belly that is supporting my upper body or is it my base of the spine that is supporting it? Is it alright to sit for long hours without any back support( not even chair support) as long as my posture is correct?

    Hi Dr. Jo. I Love your Sciatica Pain Relief Exercises but yesterday May 10, 2018, the pain came back as never and doesn't go even with your exercises. I am having Ibuprofen 3 times a day 400 Mg. My question is Am I too old (62), to do Squats even without weight? Maybe the problem is that I staryed at 60. Thank You. Greetings.

      Thanks! 62 is pretty young :-) You are never too old to do squats, but depending on your injury and it's severity, you might need to modify them or hold off until you heal.
