  • In this video, I share my own personal battle of socializing when at a low point in life. And I also tell my lite technique for how to make any sh*tty moment that may happen to you, worth it. No clickbait! #socialanxiety
Recently I haven't been doing much of my signum daily social fear-facing, as I'm going through a burnout phase and my mind and body are seriously messed up. Put too much stress on me, for too long, and now I'm paying the price. The recuperating is taking way longer then I thought, but I'm learning a lot about life and myself. And I'm actually in quite a good spirit going through this process, although being both mentally and physically fatigued is frustrating. To say the least. A lot of sleeping and not doing what I really want to do. But patience is the game, and I might as well enjoy the process.
Combating Social Fears. Talking to Strangers. Overcoming approach anxiety. It's tough, but so rewarding once we dare to do it. Connection with random people, no matter if it's a cute girl or an old crazy man, makes us feel seen, heard and part of the world we live in. Something many of us are getting further and further away from in this day and age of living in our phone and only communicating through social media.
So, If you want to learn how to overcome approach anxiety and face your fears of approaching women (or any person), check out my Social Fear Facing Fundamental Playlist where I share my best tips: • Social Fear Facing - T...
Please let me know what you think and if you have any personal topics that come to mind and you'd like to talk about.
Thanks for stopping by and being a part of this.
Posting schedule: When it's time, it's time. Lifes a mess right now, I'm a mess right now. Still happy though :).

Welcome back to the world of the living! Nice seeing your videos. I even had to watch your old videos for entertainment.
The fight continues. The struggle is real. Keep it up!

Armando! Thank you, although I never left. I just hid under a blanket for a while. Haha.. I'm glad I still can entertain you. If you don't mind me asking, for research purposes, is there any specific that comes to mind as a favorite?
      How's life going for you?
      Keep living, keep smiling :)

@@alexanderSnilsson My favorites videos are of you approaching while highlighting your thoughts in the video, your inner monologue. Even in one video you created a character using text to speech, I found it quite creative and interesting.
I'm doing fine actually, I finally graduated, officially an engineer. I overworked for that, even spent 30h with no sleep to finish my thesis, but in the end i made it. Got promoted at work (the pay still sucks but it's more than before).
Really found myself with dancing. I've been hanging out with the people from my classes. My teacher said she's very proud of me because I sucked a lot in the beginning and now I improved a lot. Met some nice girls and guys. 2020 seems like a good year. It seems effort and struggle pays off, even though there's so much frustration.
Hope things go better for you. Idk, I might even visit Sweden if my budget allows it.

@@armandoalcb Hey Man, sorry for not getting back to you earlier. Some things are just harder to get around to and do these days!
I'm so glad to hear things seem to be going good for you! Becoming an engineer, getting a real job, becoming a dancing pro and socialize like a pro. Man, you should start a RUclips channel ;).
Make sure to enjoy it though, it's easy to forget that when everything happens because tough times will come again. They always, do. But then good times will be around the corner again. Actually, there's good and bad in bigger and smaller cycles in both macro and micro perspectives constantly going on. We just need to be open to taking it in. .. I'm babbling on, caught the flue and feel a bit "drunkisch" to be frank. Still managed to have an exciting day with a random tinder date I ended up watching Guardians with the galaxy with and having the most strange day.. haha.. I woke up with the feeling of going with my gut and doing the best of it. Really paid off!
Anyway, If you ever decide to come to Sweden, Stockholm, I'll be your personal guide tour and welcome you with open arms!
      Take care man!

Firstly I found you “how to make a self-tape” video and I’m so happy to have decided to watch your other videos. For such few subscribers (by RUclips standards. 600 subscribers is actually a large number if you really think about it) your content is very high quality. You have such potential with your RUclips channel and I hope it takes off! I can’t help but physically smile when I watch your videos haha

Jämes, I can't help but to physically smile when I read your comment! Haha.. As I said in the video, I'm currently having a bit of a rough time going through a burnout thingy and haven't been able to put as much effort into the channel as wished, so hearing your praise really... Well It felt really good and made me more certain to eventually get back for real again. I'm glad you found me, but above all, I'm glad I was able to make you smile. And I hope I will be able to do so again! Have a wonderful evening my friend,
      /Alex

Thank you my dear friend! It almost felt like I forgot all about interacting with strangers, but I'll get back. It has so much to do with energy level, and there I can only bring so much right now. Thanks for stopping by :)

I tried to pickup a gorgeous cashier today but she was apperently already off work. I told her I like her haircolor the day before & she was like super happy I complimented her. Really pretty redhead. Im gonna try to see her again & my plan is to give her my receipt back after I buy some stuff with my number written on the back. Bro if this sht works & I get a date I will give you full credit xD

Haha, that's all the credit on you my friend! You maned up and dared to put yourself out there. Again, to me it doesn't matter what she'll respond. The important thing is that you faced your fears, and if you continue to work on those social skills, you'll eventually find someone that sais yes!

OK so I did ask her the next day & she said she has a BF. I felt like shit. So not good feeling, was sad. But I can do better next time, it takes mad courage when u haven't asked people out especially strangers. I know a couple things I can do differently to improve my chances. But why does it have to be so fkin hard. I dont want to have to download dating apps...

@@DigitalDissident It's a Fuc*n Win my friend! You dared to show, face your goddamn fears, pull the trigger and do it! It's not about the outcome, it's about you taking a step in the process building. The process is what's important here. Because that's what you can do over and over again. And when emotions have less of an impact on you (less invested in the outcome) you'll be able to be more relaxed, enjoy the process AND come off as more confident. In the end, this was the bigger win, my friend. Trust me. IF she had said yes, you wouldn't have been forced to go out there to look for more opportunities. Now, that's your next objective. Congrats :D. Let me know of your future endeavors.

There's no point in asking strangers to smile into someone elses camera, you should expect it to be odd because it is intrusive. Privacy & confidence/approachability are very different things.
Also, if you search "strangers asking women to smile" you'll see lots of people dont like being told what to do.

    • @alexanderSnilsson
      @alexanderSnilsson  4 года назад

Well, it depends on what "point" there is one is seeking. For me, it's not as much about the outcome of the interaction, as it is about being used to being uncomfortable with strangers. Once I am that, I don't have any fears of talking to anyone, anywhere. And when I'm not running around with the camera, I'm more focused on practicing actually building rapport and connecting with the strangers I'm interacting with! Thanks for sharing your point of view, really appreciate it as we all have different perspectives!

@@alexanderSnilsson When youre in a relationship you can talk to your girlfriend all the time & probably not feel the need to approach strangers as much right? I think there are better ways to get used to talking to strangers like asking them if they like a certain thing about you like your hairstyle or what they like to do & if you could do that with them. If they say yes, like they like to go eat places you can follow up with "should we eat at X restaurant".

@@DigitalDissident Yes, what I do in the video for sure isn't the best way! It was spontaneous and not thought through, but I ended up taking action! That's important to remember as most of the time we just think and theorize about how we "tomorrow" will do that perfect thing. Just do, get started, and then we can work on improving our actions:). So I think you have a good point in what you say!
