Awesome ,,,, I was thinking the hand of god will come in to tip the waste trucks,,,, after looking at other videos I should have know better,,, I have been in awe of Alastair Green,,,, video "modelling Bakewell station" where he is modelling the inside of the station building and the inside og the signal box in OO, but im filled admiration ,,,, totally mesmerising,
Thank you jemma! I'm glad you like the lorries (in 7mm!) its been fun to do. See you at an exhibition, no doubt. David - go for it... Fen End is begging for it!
Nice. Did your model have steering front wheels allready when you bought it? How did you convert it to RC, and what did it cost? I have a Merc 600 Sedan in scale 1/43 from Autoart with steering front wheels, and I want to try to convert it to RC, after trying with a Merc G-wagen same scale, same model manufacturer as soon as I get one, as the G-wagen model seems to be cheaper than the 600, and I like the 600 too much to have it ruined if the experiment fails.
Hello! I saw a video with this layout made during some exhibition. There was a Shell BP light grey tank wagon on this layout. Was it the Dapol RTR wagon or kit build one?
Hi Jan, if it was a black shell tank wagon (which was the only one which ran on it in my ownership) it was one of the old Bachmann Brassworks models. If there was a light grey one, I'm afraid I don't know as it will be one of Tim's - the present owner! Best, Giles
Stunningly realistic in building and operation.
i swear, your layout has made me reconsider my entire life up until now 😂 it's so amazing
Excellent. Love the side tipping wagons and the realism of the whole operation.
😍😍 amazing workmanship , great use of colour on the layout . Wales UK.
Wow! Fantastic work. A joy from start to finish.
Absolutely superb! Now I am fired up to create something similar at 16mm scale in my garden!
Top class. I'm lost for words!
will this layout ever be seen at an exhibition? Absolutely fantastic.
Fantastic!
I too will try and incorporate this when I build my garden line.
What a very entertaining model.
Fantastic engineering, well done indeed.
Hope to be able to see this on the exhibition circuit sometime.
Just fantastic thank you for sharing.
That is so superb !!! Well done
This video just made me want to jump up and down in my seat while clapping. Brilliant.
A super little layout...quite delightful! Thank you for bringing it along to Trainwest 2014 in Melksham this weekend.
Excellent performance, don't forget to run trains as well!

Very nice ! Many thanks , also for J-S Bach !!
Oh my! This is just outstanding - thank you so much for sharing!! :)
Awesome, I'll bet the R/C truck was expensive but it's all so worth it.
I converted it from a Corgi Vanguards Die-cast model. The cost of doing so was about 100GBP
If someone sold these, I would buy one in a heartbeat
Just read an article in Railway modeller about this (back issue) and well worth searching for the video, absolutely wonderful, so lifelike.
Most impressive, having read the article I'm very tempted to a 16mm lorry for Fen End Pit

Wonderful - any chance of plans for the less gifted?
I was hoping to see a little guy get out of the cab and go behind the building to take a piss.
The layout is making its first appearance at ExpoNG Saturday 27th Oct. '12, and is next booked for the 7mm NGA at Burton on Trent in June '13
Thank you all!
