It was terrible. Badly written, bad characters, bad costumes.....almost a parody of star wars. Ewan was great (he always is), but they're quite happy to shit on the legacy of the legacy characters......the directing, pacing, all off.......even having the inquisitor screaming at everyone......just bad.....I had a bad feeling about this, and they delivered a 3/10 show.
Seeing that clone begging for credits made me really depressed, just a reminder that the days of the republic are over. Also the fact that Obi-Wan gave him credits even after the purge says a lot, he must know in some way they didn’t act willingly.
I didnt expect Leia to be in the show, since trailer mostly showed only Luke. But its nice that they did include her, and it made me realize that it was inevitable since in New Hope, Leia already knew Obi Wan, but I never knew how. So excited with the season!
@@wavytiger1 Yeah, i try to get into a series without knowing every single detail for a better experience. but thanks for claryfing with that condescending comment mate 👍🏼
No one gonna mention how Alderaan looks so beautiful in the show? It really is the symbol of civilization of the Galaxy as Legends and other media portrayed it. It would suck if a moon sized space station would destroy it... Edit: Some spelling fixes and don't go to the replies.
@@jandm4ever716 how is that trolling it’s literally pointing out big flaws! Not to mention they straight up killed a character who doesn’t die till much later in rebels. Not only that lazy, cinematography, unimaginative camera work, horrible colour pallets. I mean for your simple mind you might be happy, but I’m sure watching paint dry would also entertain you. It’s the force awakens all over again, everyone loved it when it first game out then time passed and everyone realised how stupid it was.
Fun fact : That girl who tried to sell drugs to ObiWan and told him that if her daughter was on this planet, then he'll never find her again... is played by Ewan Mc Gregor's real life daughter. Kind of a meta moment, there.
Obi Wans reaction for Anakin being alive is exactly why I wanted this series! Vader speaking to Obi Wan is going to be completely unique dialogues. Vaders going to speak like we’ve never heard him speak before
@@razorsfury6519 the last time obi wan saw anakin he was burning to death. Kenobi completely cut himself off from any outside news and influence once he got to tatooine which is why he didn’t know Vader survived. Have you people never watched Star Wars before?
@@miliyn17 so your saying he no longer felt if one of the most powerful force users, of which he has a close brotherly bond with, is dead or not? Even in trash disney sequel, Leia knew Luke died from across the galaxy... Sorry, that doesn't fly. At no point in any lore has it been said Kenobi "cut himself off from outside news and influences" you have to be pretty dumb to think anyone would do that. How would it be in anyway possible to gaurd Luke in the most minimal way by blinding himself in a cave? The bigger question is did you watch Star Wars at all or are you purposely being stupid in defence of this amateur writing? I'm willing to bet the latter.
@@miliyn17 bwahahahahahah 🤣 don't get mad because you just made your self look foolish. so you are doubling down on kenobi, who raised one of the most powerful force users in the galaxy as a fatherly brother, could not feel whether anakin was dead or alive? I guess only Leia can feel whether someone dies... And Han Solo couldn't even use the force! 🤣🤣 And that doesn't even address any of the other dumb things you said. Maybe you aren't PURPOSELY being stupid. Thanks for confirming 😜
I wouldn't doubt if Reva ends up challenging Vader for the position of Palp's apprentice. She has serious darkside energy and I can see her doubting Vader's resolve for just simply keeping her in line. Not to mention she actually knows he is Anakin Skywalker, something that Vader didn't want anyone to know. She might try to use that information against Vader.
Quick detail. I believe that the homeless clone, was from the 501st judging by the color and design of the armor. And maybe just maybe, he recognized obi-wan for a split second
@@jez76 Yes probably he knew him at some point. Also I was thinking maybe Obi-wan never knew that the 501st was the one to carry out the massacre on the Jedi temple. Just a theory
@@agustinforti7281 Obi-wan did know that the 501st did the do at the Jedi Temple since he visited the temple after/during the massacre in episode III. Still though you can tell Obi-wan still has a lot of respect for clones for what they did before palp brain washed them.
Obi wan saying “I’m not who I used to be” was such a sad moment. You can see how broken he is. Mustafar still haunts him and the young Leia actress embodies Carry Fisher's character so much! She's definitely going to be the Grogu of the series and You know, I really dislike that Reva just knows who Vader is. Vader's identity is a very closely guarded in the Empire; only the Emperor truly knows, while people like Tarkin and Thrawn have very strong suspicions. Vader would not let someone who knows his identity live unless he could not get away with killing them, i.e. Tarkin, Thrawn, Palpatine.
The stuff with Leia running around at 2mph but still managing to outrun grown men is absolutely laughable. I feel like I'm watching a Nickelodeon show.
Honestly I loved it, not only seeing Ewan McGregor back as Obi-Wan but the whole aesthetics and how he prioritized Luke's safety over the Jedi code. Also cool solution for using a Skywalker twin with him and it works with the plot, like how she contacted him years later when again she needed help. Finally I got goosebumps when Obi-Wan learns about Vader and we cut to him in a Bacta tank, yellow eyes and all!
@@Durwood71 Weakly implies perhaps. It could be interpreted as also knowing him. Anyway he also introduced himself as Ben so she could also think it's Obi-Wan given as to how she does not know his surname.
@@patricktaylor9878 It's a child actress playing a wiseass kid and has to deliver some incredibly complicated lines that involve a lot of gibberish fake words. It's incredible how well she got it all across. Like Obi-wan said "You dont sound like a 10 year old". It's a tough role that worked out well.
15:55 : one thing I liked, being a Boomer Star Wars fan, was the fact that the 'Spice Merchant' offered various types of spice, including 'Glitterstim', which was a type first introduced in one of the "Lando Calrissian" novels, as I remember (although it was a crystal spun by some kind of 'cave spider', that emitted emotion enhancing fumes when broken).
- I think Obiwan missed his calling as a Sushi Chef. - Mini Leia is awesome especially when she wiped the floor with her Cousin. - Alderaan is gorgeous and it brings home the tragedy of what was lost when that douchebag Tarkin destroyed it. - No amount of Bass Solo was going to help Flea with the Grand Inquisitor. - I still wish Kumail Najiani's character was a live action version of Hondo. - I'm suprised that the Clone Trooper didn't recognize Obi Wan. - I want more episodes like, right now.
There was so much to unpack in both episodes. Seeing that 501st Clone trooper was sick and Obi's reaction to Anakin being alive was spot on with the hurt in his eyes. The SW series are becoming some of the best shows on TV ever. Big ups Def.💯👊🏾
@Bad Boys Boogie not.. really its more of a kids show with a new "strong female character" introduced again and it didnt happen a lot leia was pretty annoying like 5 people were shot and thats all if you want to compare it to lets say just something disney made tje mandalorian it sucks completely
@@Nikigun Wym strong female character Leia or the 3rd sister??? Bruh they ain’t pushing it like that you can tell. If it’s Leia well no shit she’s strong. If it’s the inquisitor she’s just evil and they show that really well. The main character is obi-wan it’s quite clear. The first two episodes were great.
I thought Uncle Owen becoming a meme before the shows aired was hilarious, but after watching I realized something I forgot. When Owen says “like you trained his father”, he isn’t afraid that Luke will become the next Sith Lord. He’s afraid that Luke will end up dead like his father is thought to be. Watching the original trio over the years, I’d paired the knowledge of who Vader was with what Owens’ and Berus’ fears were. This series has brought me back to no one knew that Anakin Skywalker was still alive. And, now that Kenobi knows, it’ll be cool to see how the series will go forward, if he keeps his distance or pushes harder. Awesome results from a short TV scene.
Obi Wan’s tortured expression realizing that Anakin is alive and the sudden flash to Darth Vader in his tank with the breathing!!! Literal chills. Also I like how little Leia is able to run away from grown adults so easily. 😂
Remember when Ezra met that kid Zare Leonis at the Imperial Academy? Leonis was there searching for his missing, Force sensitive sister. My theory is that Reva is that missing sister, taken by the Empire and turned into an Inquisitor! It could work as far as the timeline is concerned. They never told us how much older than Leonis his sister was so she could be an older sister that Zare swore to rescue as soon as he got old enough. He got old enough during the time of Rebels and we never find out exactly what happened to him or his sister. I think she's Reva.
It's most likely one of the younglings from the beginning sequence. Her saying she'll get what she's owed is probably her seeking revenge on a Jedi master that wasn't there to protect them.
@@dylpickle0927 even still, she wouldn't be the first dark side user or sith aligned character to change her name. I don't think we ever found out the sisters name actually. All I'm saying is, if they wanted to, they could make it work and, it'd be dope to have another connection to Rebels. If they wrote it right, noone could even be mad about it.
Well it is. KOTOR uses unreal engine. The place where they film all the star wars now uses unreal engine to create the enviornments. Not hard to port existing models and textures into the show from the game
14:01 The clone also wears the insignia of the 501st, who were the regiment that 66'd the Jedi temple alongside Vader and who appeared in the flashback from earlier. Bittersweet detail, really, because we know the clones had no choice in this. Makes you wonder if this clone's inhibitor chip stopped working at this point
I watched A New Hope today for the first time in almost a decade and this show truly does resemble it so much. I just love the attention to detail, I noticed things like the toy star ship and the box anakin's light saber was in. Much love and praise for Ewan McGregor who mirrors Alec Guiness old character perfectly and embraces what makes Ben truly Kenobi.
You gotta feel bad for the surviving clones after order 66. They’re left out to die when the Emperor didn’t need them anymore. Also, the psychological strain of killing and betraying a group that they fought side by side had taken a toll on the clones mental health as well.
@@wavytiger1 Even in 8hours, that's 1h30 to watch it and then just 6h30 to make a script, rewatch and clip a bunch of scenes, check up on lore, edit & upload!
I have a feeling the Grand Inqusitor bring stabbed is a Jedi Mind trick to show how impulsive and gullible 3rd sister is and she will be punished. If she actually did stab the Grand Inqusitor I don't see how she can still be alive after episode 3, or if anything not be disfigured or an amputee.
She’ll say kenobi did it and then darth will be like you’re my new grand inquisitor then she’ll get too cocky and ask the emperor to be his apprentice and then Anakin will kill her. Hopefully
Didn't one of the inquisition cut rhe foot off the other so they could escape escape they weren't killed for it right? Just animosity between them maybe I will be similar to that?
@@christianframe9788 your talking about the ninth sister getting her leg cut off by the Sixth brother so he can escape from the purge troopers that turned against them
The chase scene in the woods of Alderaan was something I would expect to see on a SYFY channel movie. My expectations severely lowered after that, but it picked up a notch. So far so good.
I ditto your thoughts, these SW streaming shows are different from the films with long drawn out pacing, and recycled story writing along with the same sets, environments, modified creatures from the others. Much different from a film production. I am sick of Tatooine, I hope Andor and Ashoka doesn’t even mention this planet let alone go to another desert planet!!
@@pax_sxprano I hated the chasing leia scenes, they where both stupid, there is this part in episode two that she just run past obi wan an he does nothing, next scene she is climbing a ladder and obi had to catch up, like how?

Jedi Master Velti is played by stuntwoman Ming Qiu, who also does the stunts for Fennec Shand. The intro alone sets how awesome the fight and light saber actions will be in this show. Smart choice from them not to do any quick cuts and going for a long take. If you pay attention to the Jedi and clone troopers fighting in the background, they all have interesting fights too. The emotion in Obi Wan's eyes and then.....boom! cuts to Vader 's eyes and him in the tank (with a dreadful backtrack.) The show's cinematography and sound is on point.
I loved the interpretation of Leia...so spot on with the sass! The Clone cameo hit me, but it was also great seeing Bail and Owen. Can't wait to see where second and third acts take us!
Loved the first two episodes. Everything felt just right led by the incomparable Ewan McGregor. That last shot of Hayden in the bacta tank. Chills. I need episode 3 STAT! Don’t really understand the Reva hate. I think she’s been a fun villain so far. The knife throw to catch the Jedi in the Tatooine bar was pretty badass.
@@ogs1mpson609 true. I think some people are just mad because they want something else but I think this is still amazing. Even star wars theory was complaining lol.
I don't hate the actress, and I don't think anyone who portrays the character should get any backlash. However I am not really liking the way reva is portrayed, yes she has flaws but I feel the way the actress portrays reva seems like she's a lil bit over the top (not to be a film critic and all). There were some scenes in the episodes where it just didn't make any sense, such as three people having a chase monrage on a 10 year old girl, like really bro? Other than that it's an okay start.
@@Daywalker685 you accept anakin as a podracer, luke becoming a jedi knight with little training, but cant accept anakins daughter at age 10 being able to temporarily escape 3 idiot goons on her home turf, ok lol
@@FullMetalB So did you want her to break 50 people's minds in that scene? It's actually quite an advanced technique that is not easy to execute. The fact that she knew the dude actually knew where Obi-wan went was reason to go for it.
For all the preordained hate Reva was receiving before the show was aired I surprisingly thought she was fine! I’m Interested to see more flashbacks of her and how she figured out Vader is Anakin.
Same people just hating they did that with the prequels Then 10 years later they love it people are confusing for 17 years people asked for Kenobi show or movie and now they hate it like what the fuck people don’t make sense
I feel like she didn’t know until episode 2 where she taunted obi-wan and maybe she sensed that obi-wan knew who vader was and that’s when she said anakin Skywalker is alive. Idk that’s just a thought
I thought reva was awful badly acted and cringe at times….I reckon she is the youngling in that first scene of order 66 and survived that’s how she knows Vader is anakin
I wonder if we are gonna hear anakin's voice without the helmet ?? I hope so ...after the helmet is on I understand.. but definitely wanna hear anakin talk
I'm glad so much of the trailers was from these episodes. They really have hid a lot Also big fan of Leia looking like a rebel pilot while naming the ships
They introduced Obi EXACTLY like how Rey was introduced in The Force Awakens. Both doing hard laborious work, on a barren sand planet, then not receiving the compensation promised, riding back to their homestead, utterly and completely alone, making up their “portions” then sitting on their front stoop to eat. weird.
I don’t get all the immediate hate from some “fans” I thought episode 1 was great! Grand inquisitor is pretty cool, Evan and Joel are fantastic, jimmy smitts back is wonderful and young leia is good for a child actor. Episode 2 is good but had some problems for me such as the ending. But as long as they explain how Reva knows about Vader I’ll be fine.
@@groxen I watched both, and I agree with the commenter, for what Disney can do, this show is 9/10 with only a small amount of mistakes that can be covered up easily
I wasn’t a fan of Reva being the one to reveal Anakin to Obi-Wan. I thought such a huge moment deserved to be done in the presence of Vader, with Obi-Wan figuring it out himself or Vader being the one to reveal it.
@@rico_fed that would’ve been a great play on Vader revealing to be Luke’s father. I honestly hope Vader and Obi Wan don’t meet in the show tho, kind ruins the canon. They could try it make it make sense, but it just doesn’t work for me
@@rico_fed Let me ask you this, if the Grand Inquisitor had revealed it to mess with Obi-wan's mind, would you have been okay with it? I think that would really show the core of what your actual problem here is. Vader revealing himself when they meet would not have worked, because that would be like in the finale. I think Obi-wan finding out Anakin is alive is important for his motivation in the coming episodes.
Whether you hate or love Disney, I’m overall happy with what they’re doing with the content especially after sequel trilogy. Really hope they continue expanding the Star Wars Universe and I have a feeling it will be really hard to top off after this short season
It was a cool connection to me the Leia knew Obi as Ben then decided to name her child after him. It’s a testament to how impactful this rescue was for her.
Being 14 when Revenge Of The Sith came out… I perfectly remember that opening weekend when I saw it and saw the result of Anikan fighting Obi Wan till their deaths on Mustafar. Watching Anikan become Vader with the suit and hist words were in reference to love & Padame, while Obi Wan runs to prep for hiding… it was just so surreal & heartbreaking. Now 10 years later (16 actually years later).. seeing when Obi Wan learns that Anikan is still alive as Vader is absolutely perfect in all categories… lost.. confused.. sad.. hopeful.. optimistic.. scared.. just absolutely brilliant. And the way Anikan reacts in the bacta tank is just as good. Both shots of them, showing so much & so many emotions.. it’s very metaphoric & the underline meanings are very much there… 2 once powerful Jedi have now turned into (Ben) a meat cutter, disrespected, useless, distraught Jedi with disbelief & little to no hope.. and (Vader) who is also in pain, anger, confused, sad and is half robotic by this point. Just absolutely amazing to see all this unfold with the same faces. 100% kudos
Loved these 2 episodes, the grand inquitor is waaaay better than I thought from the trailer, the story looks cool and that final scene with vader.... can't wait for episode 3
The problem with prequel shows is the tension. I’m not scared for Kenobi, Owen, of Leia. They all make it to the original trilogy. We already know where their stories end.
ywa that's the mindset I had when watching certains scenes. like they are are in EVERY MOVIE . besides Owen. and we know how they die .... so stop trying to drW tension with them
@@quicklyform5162 you can flesh out characters without tense scenes. It just seems pointless to put these characters in these life or death situations when we already know where their story ends. @@flogginmama Better Call Saul introduced new characters who I’m super invested in. Nacho, Kim, and Lalo. I’m just saying it’s impossible to build suspense for characters we know are gonna survive. I loved the first two episodes, my favourite scenes are: - 3 grown-ups chasing after a 10 year old and not managing to catch her - this inquisitor girl doing a backflip while jumping forward for absolutely no reason - the bad guys letting the good guys escape because they're fighting each other (this happened two times already) I'm still waiting for something as good as vespa gang, but I am very confident it will happen as we still have four episodes to go :)
Nitpicky nonsense. Doing unecessary flips basically describes the entire Prequel trilogy. In-fighting among Dark Side users, who would have guessed! Some goons bumbling around a forest for a minute and catching the child with ease anyway? Unthinkable!
Don't forget about the scene where obiwan has to use the force to help Leia not crash to the floor while being shot at only for the shooting to stop in the next scene for no reason.
@@yoursonisold8743 who said the prequels where any better? Besides, I'm only this nitpicky on little details like that because there is just nothing interesting going on plotwise. If you don't have anything meaningful to say with your story, then just don't tell the story.
Totally jazzed about this series. The kid playing Leia is awesome! Loved the Reva parkour scenes. She seems a menacing new antagonist. Well done showing how hate leads to the dark side through her. 10/10.
I agree with the "Leia was only introduced to him as Ben" theory, so she really didn't know he was actually Obi-Wan! But he must have made a great impression on young Leia as she later grew up and named her son after the "old and beat-up" Jedi named Ben that saved her life years ago on Daiyu.
i almost lost my shit when 3 adults struggled to catch a small child in the woods lmao should’ve been able to catch up and just punt her within a few yards
@zen view you clearly don’t lol the green girl ran into a fucking branch at eye level while looking at it. The show is good but leia is unrealistically mature and annoying and the inquisitors are fucking goofballs. Although I really did like obi wan I just didn’t like the rest. Overall it’s a pretty good show. Hayden and Ewan definitely saved it tho
@zen view what does having kids have to do with anything? I have 10 year old nieces and nephews and I would smoke them 😂 sorry you’re slow and uncoordinated fanboy
For me, I think Reva being a bit annoying is quite intentional. The Inquisitors are mad about her behaviours, maybe Vader will too, then we will see his rage and see the fate "worse than dead" of her (read somewhere, I dunno). I dont hate her or any other character. I just afraid we might make the same mistake we made with jake...
@@ADGZone I think you would be pretty mad and unhinged if you had the chance to kill the Jedi who abandoned you as a kid and your boss told you too bad get over it for no reason
@James Fox obviously obi wan didn’t train her but he was one of the most well known leaders of the Jedi order and his apprentice is the one who went nuts and murdered all of Reva’s friends. It’s not a reach. Obi wan didn’t do anything wrk g but just because someone didn’t do anything wrong doesn’t mean that another person can’t justifiably be mad at them. Are you a child? Do you not understand how perspective and personal experience can influence how you view someone? From Reva’s perspective obi wan was partly to blame for anakin turning so why wouldn’t she hate him. Also it’s funny that you talk like you understand star wars more than us yet you incorrectly identified her as a padawan 😂 she was a youngling not a padawan. Get it straight
Great breakdown as always. I figured Reva was a former youngling which was violently turned. Funny that you mentioned John Wick for the Bounty Hunters, I got John Wick vibes when Obi-Wan went for his lightsabers like John broke the floor getting his gear after being forced back into the life.
I want a guilt filled and alcoholic Cody to track down and make piece with Obi-Wan. It would show the real life situation of how war vets tend to turn into alcoholics and morning drunks.
Honestly no complaints and I didn't even notice Han until you said so! I was surprised by seeing Flea. Wasn't even expecting to see Leia so that's a nice bonus as well
Loved these episodes! I thought the Leia “chase” scene was a little much, but overall enjoyed this shows a lot. The way you cut to Alderaan after Bail said “you will rule this planet one day” was hilarious 😂
Padme. When Leia says "I'm sorry" the way he says "me too" is definitely referring to him knowing who her real parents are. He feels like he not only failed Anakin but also his children.
Two things bothered me in these 2 episodes 1. The way Leia ran in the forest and on the roof tops seems so so weird. It looks like she is tiptoeing around 2. Reeva going full Assassin's creed on the roof tops, doing flips and all other junk. That was really off putting.
I absolutely love the first two episodes. I wonder if Leia subtly uses the force to sense motivations in others helping her as a leader into adulthood. I also wonder if Reva is related to Mace Windu? Jedi “royalty” where she’s not as trusted by the other Inquisitors and she feels like she has to prove herself.
Lol just stop with the nonsense that “wOndER if rEvA iS rElAtEd fO maCe WinDU” nonsense idea. Same horrid think of people thinking of saying that Finn was mace windu’s son for nonsensical reasons. That’s beyond asinine and a small brained view of people and how big the world is. Just stop.
Really enjoyed these 2 episodes definitely felt for Obi Wan I also like the way how the trailers leading up to the release of Obi Wan Kenobi were basically just clips from the first 2 episodes which makes for an interesting 4 more episodes definitely excited for next week.
My heart broke when Kenobi gave the veteran some credits... It was really symbolic after what he saw and experienced during order 66 that he understood they were not acting by their will and the fact he forgave them after they destroyed his "world"... Like when you see a new hope, you could never have guessed how it was during the phantom menace..

The way they set up leia is good because in a new hope she only knows obi wan to save her because he saved her as a kid that's a set up to a perfect story
What a bunch of BS that some people don't find the order 66 scene acceptable; because of the shootings... USA, just fix your fucked-up system! This has nothing to do with Star Wars. The scene was very powerfull & it's a perfect start to set the scene for the rest of the show.
Those two chase scenes were so bad. There was no tension in them, and the characters seemed to be walking more than running from eachother☠☠☠. And the most important thing. Why does the inquisitor know about Vader's identity!!!!!! It wasn't revealed until after the empire's fall. Only ones who know the truth inside the empire were Palpatine and Tarkin. 6/10
The very concept of an Inquisitor used to not exist either. Anakin had an apprentice between Episode II and Episode III that was not mentioned AT ALL in the movie. The story evolves. Maybe a key to Reva's ambition is that she figures she has a bit of information that no one else has. It gives her a motive for wanting to find Kenobi so badly. That allows the story to bring Leia and Kenobi together without relying on coincidences or "small galaxy" syndrome.
I absolutely had that Mark Hamil moment too. seeing as he has had uncredited cameos in the past it's not impossible but they're usually a lot better disguised. So far Really liking the show so far aside from Reva having Knowledge of Vader's true identity, seeing as Vader was kinda sensitive about that... maybe that will be her ultimate undoing.
They just couldn't help themselves.... General Kenobi years ago you fought with my father in the clone wars... Ohyeah and you also saved me when i was a kid and got kidnapped by the Red Hot Chillipeppers...
"The creative team didnt know this would happen when making this scene" I get what you're trying to say here but the event you're alluding has been happening a lot before that event in particular took place, and will probably keep on happening cause 'Murica.
You "loved" it? Some bottom-feeder such as Reva knows about Vader? It brings down Vedar's power, control and cool factor. It’s insane how you’re just making up the story in your head and thinking how thing should go down to YOU, seriously just stop talking.
This show made me feel so many great emotions that I haven’t felt since the first time I saw each episode in the story. The little girl playing Leia is so adorable and she does an excellent job, she’s going to be the reason my 6 year old daughter gets into Star Wars.
I don’t think Vader will be the one to kill her, it will be the grand inquisitor. Reva will take his place for the next couple of episodes and after he has fully recovered he will have to kill her to prove to Vader he is still worthy of his title but when he can’t kill Obi-wan that’s when Vader has to step in and then Vader and Obi-wan fight in the final episode.
@@royalraider2910 Inquisitors arent Siths. And how many Sith turned to the light? lol Anakin... maybe Kylo Ren, if you even count him as a proper Sith. As far as Inquisitors go, nearly all of them stay evil or die the moment they turn.

On a positive note........go watch Strange New Worlds.......It's amazing, they respect the source material.
I often wondered if Owen and Beru knew Luke had a sister. Then again, I once wondered what colours Smurfs would turn if they were choking.
Seeing that clone begging for credits made me really depressed, just a reminder that the days of the republic are over.

Quick detail. I believe that the homeless clone, was from the 501st judging by the color and design of the armor. And maybe just maybe, he recognized obi-wan for a split second

I’m afraid your wrong we learn that zare Leonis sister is Dhara leonis this is founded out in the Servants of the empire:Edege of the galaxy Novel
It's most likely one of the younglings from the beginning sequence. Her saying she'll get what she's owed is probably her seeking revenge on a Jedi master that wasn't there to protect them.
Reva's last name is Savander, and it's emphasized that inquisitors are former Jedi, so I doubt it.

We already know where their stories end.
ywa that's the mindset I had when watching certains scenes. like they are are in EVERY MOVIE . besides Owen. and we know how they die .... so stop trying to drW tension with them
Yeah, like, you seen that show Better Call Saul? Booooooring. Like we know Saul survives so who cares? 🤷♂️
@@quicklyform5162 you can flesh out characters without tense scenes. It just seems pointless to put these characters in these life or death situations when we already know where their story ends. I think the correct way to do things is to introduce new characters! I like the show so far, but all of the tense scenes don’t do anything for me
@@flogginmama Better Call Saul introduced new characters who I’m super invested in. Nacho, Kim, and Lalo. I’m just saying it’s impossible to build suspense for characters we know are gonna survive. The black and white sequences also built some good suspense. I’m really looking forward to the second half of the final season
@@Devon.with.an.i maybe but it’s dumb to assume they live a peaceful life for 10+ years where nothing happened I mean they live on a backwater planet with one of the most important people on it danger is going to follow weather or not they survive
I loved the first two episodes, my favourite scenes are:
- 3 grown-ups chasing after a 10 year old and not managing to catch her
- this inquisitor girl doing a backflip while jumping forward for absolutely no reason
- the bad guys letting the good guys escape because they're fighting each other (this happened two times already)
I'm still waiting for something as good as vespa gang, but I am very confident it will happen as we still have four episodes to go :)
Thank you I noticed this as well pretty awful
I'm hopeful but there were a few really bad moments, really really goofy
Young liea was so adorable, her entrance really took me by surprise ..
She seems way to tryhard and annoying. She's the only character I find frustrating in the show.
@@ADGZone same here
@@ADGZone I think you would be pretty mad and unhinged if you had the chance to kill the Jedi who abandoned you as a kid and your boss told you too bad get over it for no reason
Moses Ingram's performance is excellent. She was amazing in Queens Gambit. I'm really happy to see her in this.
Watched ep1 when I woke up, didn’t realize they had the 2nd episode til 4 hrs later 🤦🏽♂️
I suspect Riva might want to get revenge on Anakin for the massacre and she is using Obi Wan to get an audience with him.
I LOVE that theory! Really good
Oh I like that theory!
Well if that's her plan, she won't like her reward
LOVE THIS
She was happy to kill the first Jedi but wants to capture Obi Wan. That’s significant. She says she wants what she’s “owed”.
Loved the video! Lil’ Leia was such a treat and pleasant surprise! I can’t wait for the next episode and your vid on them!
Did someone else think that he was also thinking of Satine and not just Padmen when he was admiring Leia's spunk?
obi-wan wasn't that close to padme compared to satine
Spunk?!?
a lot of people say this but he is talking to the daughter of padme, obvs its padme he is referring to
@@donnchadhmurray2439 charisma, attitude, demeanor, intelligence, etc
Padme. When Leia says "I'm sorry" the way he says "me too" is definitely referring to him knowing who her real parents are. He feels like he not only failed Anakin but also his children.
Reva is 10x better and more believable as young rage filled apprentice than kylo ren ever was
Her character portrayal is great, also the grand inquisitor also is pretty scary
@@Cyrus-rodn45 I’m very curious to see how Vader is going to be 🤔🧐 can’t wait !!!!
@@DanielDoesItLive yea if it's not James earl Jones voice, then it won't hit the same

Two things bothered me in these 2 episodes
1. The way Leia ran in the forest and on the roof tops seems so so weird. It looks like she is tiptoeing around
2. Reeva going full Assassin's creed on the roof tops, doing flips and all other junk. That was really off putting.
I think Reeva encounter Anakin/ Vader & some 501s troopers during order 66
Just stop.
Really enjoyed these 2 episodes definitely felt for Obi Wan I also like the way how the trailers leading up to the release of Obi Wan Kenobi were basically just clips from the first 2 episodes which makes for an interesting 4 more episodes definitely excited for next week.
how many episodes are there in total?
@@ajohndaeal-asad6731 6 episodes.
@@christopherwilson7497 I wish the movies were just 6 episodes because the sequel trilogy was lame and put a sour taste in my mouth
Can Disney make it through the whole series without screwing it up? That's more nerve-wracking than anything in the actual movies!
Okay, you made me laugh out loud several times! I like your deadpan humor. I must say it is refreshing to hear your jovial retorts during your commentary. I definitely will be subscribing to your channel. Out of all the channels out there recapping episodes I think your humor matches mine.

Actually Qui Gon did not become a force ghost but a force spirit witch is different as force spirits can't be seen as ghosts but only communicated with.
Didn't he appear in the clone wars.......or something as a force ghost? One of the animated things
@@Designsecrets he did but that was at a sorta "force planet" where the force was extremely strong. I can't remember what the place was called but it was the Clone Wars arc with the father, the son and the daughter.

The kid who plays Leia/role she's playing is absolutely fantastic
I agree .. reminds me of my daughter
Carrie would have been so proud of her. She’s a little spitfire just like Carrie was.
So far, a perfect casting. She's exactly what I thought a young Leia would be like. And I could watch Bail Organa being a good dad all day
She’s obnoxious
Can anyone explain why they kept Luke’s last name as Skywalker despite his uncle being Lars
One Easter egg that was missed was the weird blooping sounds in the spice lab scene, those sounds were taken from the Movie "the man in the white suit "starring Alec Guiness it was quite cool !!
Honestly I loved how when obi wan realised anikin is alive you could see how much more scared he was his breathing his eyes even his grip all change you knew he realised he created a monster and the hatred darth vader has for abi wan he won't stop. Almost like abi wan realised if being burned alive and having all his arms and legs cut off didnt kill him nothing obi wan does will stop him and if he finds obi he finds luke
Bro the young Leia is casted perfectly. She is ruthless and I love it! The whole show so far is absolutely awesome! Excited for the rest.
Obi Wan has more reason to be acting the way he is, than Luke does with Keylo.
true
Look at these cry baby fans now defending obi wan when he seems to be worse than luke. He even let a jedi die. Atleast luke didn't go through with killing kylo

They premiered at midnight EST haha you didn’t have to wake up at 3am.
The way they set up leia is good because in a new hope she only knows obi wan to save her because he saved her as a kid that's a set up to a perfect story
Off to a good start! Nice surprise to see Leia, and also seeing Jimmy Smits reprise his role as her father.
What a bunch of BS that some people don't find the order 66 scene acceptable; because of the shootings...
USA, just fix your fucked-up system! This has nothing to do with Star Wars. The scene was very powerfull & it's a perfect start to set the scene for the rest of the show.
I was hoping to see Grogu
Seeing Obi-wan have Genuine feelings for the 501st Trooper really hit me 😓😭
They just couldn't help themselves.... General Kenobi years ago you fought with my father in the clone wars... Ohyeah and you also saved me when i was a kid and got kidnapped by the Red Hot Chillipeppers...
I love all the jokes u put in the vids, even if they are terrible I laugh so hard
So bad lol
"The creative team didnt know this would happen when making this scene" I get what you're trying to say here but the event you're alluding has been happening a lot before that event in particular took place, and will probably keep on happening cause 'Murica.
Those dem gun free zones sure work well, I'm sure a gun ban will be just as successful
I loved the “reveal” to Kenobi that Anakin was still alive. Insane moment and I couldn’t imagine the horror boi-wan felt in that moment
You "loved" it? Some bottom-feeder such as Reva knows about Vader? It brings down Vedar's power, control and cool factor. She shouldn't have known it and even if she did, she should not be the one to tell Kenobi. It should have been Vader himself. Think about how much more impactful it would have been if Vader revealed it.
@@wolverineiscool7161 Can you get over yourself here? Seriously you just sound massively insane right now. EVERYONE loved that moment entirely so and NOTHING you’ve said here is true in the slightest. Reva isn’t just some “BoTtOm fEeDer” at all as she’s proven herself to be a great villain as a inquisitor here as she’s advancing the plot incredibly by actually doing stuff.
And it’s *vader.
Get it right before you talk about him.
It does NOT “bRInGs dOwn vEdaR’s pOwEr, CoNtrOl anD cOoL fAcTOr” in the slightest. It’s beyond embarrassing that you even believe that as Vader’s fool factor, power and control would NEVER be brought down EVER by something like that. It’s beyond sad that you even think that for even a moment at all.
She DID know it as it’s clear that she has some special backstory tie to both anakin and obiwan that will bring obiwan back to vader. And it doesn’t matter if “vader” would have revealed it as it’s clear that there’s a build up moment for both vader and kenobi to figure out one another as gradual build up. Your out of your mind and don’t know anything about storytelling if you don’t understand anything about BUILD UP to a confrontation between to two enemies
And lol at you thinking that it “iT sHouLd hAvE beEn vAdEr hiMsElF” lol no it shouldn’t. How it was done in this episode was PERFECT as BITH characters now know that each other is alive and creates better tension so it would NOT have been “mUcH moRe iMpaCtfUl It wOulD hAvE bEen If vAdEr ReVeAlEd” lol just no, it wouldn’t at all because BOTH of them figuring it out each other out is MASSIVELY better for the story as it creates much better tension for the Narrative to expand their meeting, which you clearly don’t know anything about.
It’s insane how you’re just making up the story in your head and thinking how thing should go down to YOU, seriously just stop talking.
The first 2 episodes were amazing! I'm wondering if we'll see Liam Neeson as Qui Gon and Natalie Portman as Padme again. 🤔
Yes as soon as she stapes the grand inquisitor I knew she was death
That makes sense
She'll turn to the light. Lie to Vader saying that she killed Obi wan. Vader will sense that she's lying and kill her.
