    It's slowly becoming the most informative channel about Squier/Fender basses.
    Thank you for your efforts!

      Oskars Arbidans thank you! Hoping to diversify a little, but I think the fender brand is a good place to have started! Thank you for all your support, it’s much appreciated! T

    I have what I believe is one of these, 34 inch scale but it's black with a tortoiseshell pickguard and a black headstock with white lettering. It's likely older, as I found it beat, dirty, and neglected in a pawnshop about 4-5 years ago. I'm older (probably ancient to most of you) and I pick up the odd and/or unusual neglected instrument as the spirit moves me. I have too many basses but what's one more? I disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled it and it's a most versatile instrument. My gigging days are long behind me (42 years since I was in a band and gigging) but I get a kick out of still playing my basses and this one is a lot of fun and easy to play. I do not have any short scale basses and I really prefer the 34 inch scale, and I presume the current shorter scale Jaguars are a bit easier to play for the novice. This is a 5 star bass, IMNSHO, and I only wish economical quality instruments like this had been available when I was starting out in the '60s. A very enjoyable review for a fine instrument.

      Thank you for watching! I remember those Jaguars when they came out - maybe the vintage modified range? Great to hear your Jaguar tale - it’s definitely a severely underrated Fender design! T

    Hi Tyler, I just wanted to take a quick moment to write about how appreciated you are as a channel reviewing these Bass guitars. Ever since I started looking for a brand new bass (upgrading from an affinity PJ bass). I was having trouble finding some really good review channels until I stumbled upon yours. Ever since the first video I watched, which was the squire classic vibe mustang video. I really enjoyed the entire video. It was well reviewed; and definitely gave me a deeper input into the instrument than I would get with other review channels. Anyways Tyler, honestly thank you so much for these amazing videos! Just know that you’re always going to have a strong audience that’s really going to take time and enjoy these reviews that you put out! I know I certainly did and I wish you nothing but the best of luck with your channel, and hope you are doing well during the whole virus. Thanks again Tyler, and have an amazing time reviewing these Basses!!!

    I use this bass, I only use the precision pickup because I like to play punk, pop punk and I have this over a precision because I prefer the body shape, amazing bass

    Oh, there was a 34" Jaguar as well! I just bought the 32" one, real bargain and great value for the money. The set up was totally inexistent though, delivered as if it came right away from the assembly line. After a full set up and adjustment of truss rod and in the end string height, it plays beautifully, really nice instrument for an amazing price!

    Cool review dude. I think that the Jaguar models, Squier or Fender, don't get enough attention. I wish that they would add the double stack knob feature to their Classic Vibe Jazz bass line. Was surprised of how good the P pickup sounded with the 100% tone. Keep these reviews coming :) dude and thank you.

    • @TylerSpicer

      I think a stack model jazz would be really cool in the Squier range, but maybe that would confuse buyers - maybe that’s why they haven’t done it? I really do like these jags, especially being that the controls are a little simpler, but also still plenty versatile! T

    Neat bass. I have an Affinity P-Bass, but the Classic Vibe series is definitely a step up. It sounds pretty darn good for a short scale - those pickups are pretty good.

    • @TylerSpicer
      @TylerSpicer  4 года назад +1

      The Classic vibes come across as solid basses, but I think the affinities are okay too, it’s just the lack of finish that makes them feel cheaper to me! Perfectly playable though. This isn’t the shorter scale version btw! This is the 34” limited edition, but I totally agree it does sound good! T

    I own the medium scale(only one available) jaguar classic vibe bass. Just an awesome specimen i have. You get more volume when you cut the j pickup just a bit i think it is a weak pickup but it sounds good. The bass doesn't feel much different at all compared to full size basses. My jaguar also has a flamed body and has good solid weight. Over 9 pounds. I tried tapewounds but i like the "piano" tone of rounds on this bass.

    Got one last week. It is sooo good. More mid scale basses should be made imo. Putting on a Hipshot Himass bridge this week to help with the slight neckdive - which isnt really a big issue in itself.

    Bass defiantly looks awesome. Wish Squire would release a bass that has the 1.75 nut width.

      Me too! I think they’ve just got an eye on their typical purchasers and making them “easy to play” for as braid a range of bassist as possible, meaning learners.

    Your job is so precious!
    I think that if you are not a 34" scale maniac there is no reason to have a 34" scale model bass that exists also in 32" scale...you can buy the 32" scale model and you can appreciate to play differently with about the same sound but in a more comfortable way

    • @TylerSpicer
      @TylerSpicer  4 года назад +2

      I agree! I loved the 32” scale, really opens my eyes to a scale that is so underused! T

    I dont think these were available in the us. I have been checking squier out regularly since 2014 and never heard or seen advertising for a full scale jaguar classic vibe. You guys get stuff we don't.

  • @seanhyena3769

    Are you sure that's 34? Squier jaguar bass just released the same bass in 32. The one I was planning on buying this week. I can't find any link to this 34 besides your link. And it's not in fenders website. Well atleast here in USA.

    • @TylerSpicer
      @TylerSpicer  4 года назад +2

      Yes! I measured it to make sure as I was unsure too! They have both the 32 which I loved and you can find my review on my channel, and have temporarily added a 34, hence this being a limited edition. I’ve got to say that’s not the first time I’ve had a comment on Squier stuff available over here to independent stores that isn’t yet on US shores. However I’d happily trade Squier availability for an easier flow of the US models! T

    Believe it or not, the pickups are Roswell pickups which can be found in 150 pound Harley Benton basses and guitars.

      Hey! Just a little composition I came up with that shows the sound across all 4 strings. I've never tabbed or written any of these things out unfortunately, But it shouldn't be too difficult to learn by ear! T
