Got to be two of the best demonstrators on RUclips, you two are awesome and I’m not even a bass player!! I watch Lee and Pete all the time but you two are so enthusiastic, I love it! Keep them coming🎸♥️
Love all of these! We need more medium scale basses in the world. Squier should make a JJ version of the CV jag (or just a medium scale jazz bass like Fender used to do).
Eric Hamm of Citizen started using Jag basses a few years ago. He switched from the P bass. He's probably one of my favorite bass players of all time. Him and the bassist/vocalist of LoftRiot. My favorites for real
Love the look of Jag basses! Until the Mike Kerr signature didn’t care so much for the sound but now it has a great hybrid sound-part bass, part fuzzed out guitar.
Those Mike Kerr basses suffered from really bad craftsmanship last year. Are they better? Pickups offset from strings, bad neck mounting, incorrectly cut nuts
Just got one, and I looooove it. I think the thing people get wrong about it is the use case scenario -- this Jag is spec'd to Mike's tastes, as such it's really meant to be played more as a guitar. If you are emulating his setup, it sounds absolutely incredible, as it's what he plays live on tour. I've found it sounds amazing on both pickups with a Big Muff Pi or any overdrive, especially when brought up on octave with a POG like he does! If you want to check out some guys that have them, go watch some videos by my buddies Fraser Charleson or Raul Neves, they absolutely make these basses sound amazing.
@keatonrobinson2970 my problem wasn't the concept of the bass it was Fender absolutely shitting the bed on the build. I played one that came into my local shop and it never should've passed QC.
Sadly there is no version of the jaguar bass anymore that utilizes the “tone circuit switches” like the vintage jaguar guitar, the last version that had these switches mounted was the. Fender Japan Jaguar bass from 2007-2014. I was hoping that Fender (Japan) would bring back a version like that …..
Good paint job, and I do love royal blood…. But man these basses don’t sound that good tbh, and are really quite expensive for what they are. Nice paint job though - more of that orange please fender
Is it just jaguars and pumas that Brits can't pronounce properly, or is it all the cats from the Americas? Like, can you manage to say "ocelot" properly? Margay? /ducks 😂
I don’t play bass, I barely play guitar, but I always enjoy the enthusiasm these 2 show when demoing.
That was the tamest version of “little monster” I’ve ever heard. RB live absolutely kick assssss 🔥🔥🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤🖤
Oh yeah! that WAS what that was…

Troy Sanders of Mastodon plays a jaguar in addition to his others. Even had a signature Jag w/ Fender fro a bit. was replaced by his new PJ pbass.

That orange is absolutely glorious! Beautiful bass! 😎👌🏻
Thanks for a great review guys !
Always happy when you make video. The signature bass definitely has some funk up its sleeve !
My boy bought a b-stock MIM FSR Jaguar bass from you last year. Black with Ebony fretboard. He loves it.
Loving the addition of a drummer in the intro
Oh, a drummer! I like! Medium scale is such a great option. I wish there were more 32” scale options! Squiers are a great value.

It certainly looks cool and does the trick for the genre which I suppose is exactly what a signature bass aught to be
Troy from Mastadon had a signature Jag for a minute
Orange fender sounds lovely tbh

There should be a Vintera Mexican version of the Squier CV sunburst model, it's gorgeous!

Pino Paladino used to play Jaguars :)
That orange one 👌🏻
My fave... Sergio Vega
Guys you forgot to demo the Player 😅
What an interesting way of playing Little Monster

10:41 sounding a bit like Cakeflap there.
(But no one knows Cakeflap)
Is the wide range pickup really a wide range design? Does it have Cunife magnets? If not, it ain't a wide range humbucker.
My favourite jaguar is the MIJ jaguar bass

I just gasped at this Oxblood Squier Tele Custom you've got on your website. Is it gonna be an ordeal to ship that to the US?
Go eff myself, got it.
Don't know who you are, dude, but you've got a great ear!
I'm confused, Mike's bass came out last year, how is this one different?
It's not.
Pino used a Jaguar when he was playing with The Who
Short scale has less high end... so bassier... contrary to popular opinion.
But they also tend to sound farty and flubby when you dig into them.
Bass V gets the best of both maybe?

@@tramer76 I have the Sterling short scale. strings can be tight! had to go low tension flats.

Mark Hoppus!!!
Rad! Do young people still say "rad" or is this term outdated? I don't care if the term is outdated, it's still rad!
Cool like a fidget spinner!
Not playing in the style or tones really takes me out of this review. No one’s looking to buy this bass to play or sound like that.
I do! So do many others.
Jaguar =/ not a tiger
True, but that's a drawing of a tiger on the case and neck plate, even though it's a jaguar bass.

Im not sure I fancy black Converse. Lee has let himself down.
They look rad though, cool like two fidget spinners at once!

of course, it's pronounced "Throatwobbler Mangrove"
...says the American, who mangles multiple English words constantly. 😃
@@baldyhead I do?
I actually love British folks and love the way our language differs, and I just find Jaguar and puma to be two very funny ones.
@@baldyhead also "sixth." I cannot figure out why you guys suddenly can't pronounce an x in the middle of "sixth." It's always funny.
@@baldyhead Let's talk about "paella" or any other foreign word for a moment.
