      Skinny Recipes. Hi nisha mam, my daughter is 18 month old. She had cow milk allergy. I had been nursing her till now. Could you suggest the other milk? ( she had soy and nut allergy too so i could not use those milk). Could you please suggest some non dairy foods that are rich in cacium?(vegan). Thanks in advance.

    Prepared this with flax seed powder instead of arrowroot as I couldn't source on a short notice, but it turned out great! Love from Bahrain 🌱

    I didn't have tulsi, arrow root or apple cider vinegar
    Cooked without it today
    But still good and thick

    I made it❤❤❤ and this recipie is going to be all time fav. Recipie as it is.
    I didnt add any cinamon and celentro. And no thickness agent. Even though soup turned out so tasty. Everyone loved it. Thank you so much for this healthy recipie.🥰

    Nisa Dear! This is my all time winter favorite soup! I have got to add that cinnamon bark, i've never did and it looks cool! Can't wait to taste it :) it seems nothing I do lately is enough to boost my immune system so now I pray not to be sick t'ill april, when spring comes.       +Manisha Reddy yes, you can! allow the soup to cool down and then place in glass containers/mason jar and keep in fridge. Do not heat it straight from fridge when you want to consume, keep it outside the fridge for 30 mins and then slowly heat on low flame...this way the nutrients and the molecular structure of the food will stay intact. BTW I am not a big fan of microwave and hence do not advocate that. hope this helps and thanks for being here :)

    Easy to make. Thank you for all your efforts. I've to questions. 1) I tried finding that kind of cinnamon in all places including Kerala, I could only see the thick bark one. Not the one that you recommended. Even the people who grow that weren't aware of it. So is it okay to use the thick bark one which is easier to get?
    2) Is there any other alternative for arrowroot ? Is it same as Sabudana powder? Can I replace it with Tapioca?

    Nice recipe for winters ma'am... could you please clarify my doubt on millets ma'am? I have read somewhere that people with hypothyroidism should not eat millets and flax seeds.. is that true?

      +Shalini Parthakudi there is some debate with regard to millets being goiterogenic although not much studies has been done to confirm this. Goiterogenic foods can be eaten cooked. Note that in India millets was and is even now a staple food from a long time, especially the tribal communities use them as a staple food. It is also important not to shun a particular food item from your diet. Having millets 3-4 times a week is okay if you have thyroid issues. hope I cleared your doubts.
