  • Vánočka became an integral part of Christmas Eve dinner in the Middle Ages. In the Czech Republic, the term Vánočka is commonly used, in the Czech Republic also the term bun, in the Kladsko húska, in southern Bohemia and Domažlice we find the term calta, in the western part of northeastern Bohemia and in the Třebíč region with štědrovnicí (also štědrovkou).
    In the Litomyšl region there is an enclave with the expression knitted, whose word-forming variants can also be found in Moravia. The term štrucle, štrycle and trucle often appears in Silesia and Moravia, and the term vánočka prevails in cities.
    Even a beginner can bake this vánočku. Just use the right ingredients and follow a simple procedure.
