What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. I served in the U.S. Army during the 1980's and we were never allowed to wear just partial uniforms in public.
I like how the first couple didn't support the soldiers being gay but they understood that it isn't their business and tried to make June understand it's not hers either.

They pick an area they believe they will get the most effective reactions for their show then show you the reactions you will be most effected by. Of course all the reactions are real, but how many good reactions may have outnumbered these reactions while they show us only a hand full. All I'm saying is this show is a show. They want to evoke emotions within us that lean a certain way. We need to be aware of the things that influence us. In ancient Greece there were a lot of cases of homosexuality in the military, and they actually heavily embraced it. Their mindset was that if the people going into battle cared about each other to that extent, that they would fight with higher performance.

I wish more people would see that for the military nowadays. Shame it took this long for gays to be in the military. I could be wrong but I feel religion has something to do with it. So no, it isn’t love telling someone how they are is a sin. There is science showing that your sexual orientation is not a choice. So it’s essentially like those homophobic telling a black person that being black is wrong and that they should be white. Not only is that hurtful, it isn’t something they can change about themselves. And if they get told that often enough, then that can lead to self hatred. When you hate yourself, a lot of the time you don’t want to live anymore. Because hating yourself is a horrible, horrible thing. If you don’t want to live anymore, sometimes people decide to make it so they aren’t alive anymore. This. This is the reason suicidal rates are so high for people in the sexual minority. The issue isn’t their sexual orientation. It’s society. Sorry, I got into a bit of a rant there. I’m passionate about this.

It is the power dynamic. Most rapists like control. They like being able to be in control of their victims. And often they themselves are victims of abuses. This is not perversion or a lack of religion. It is the folly of the people around said person and the folly of said person themselves.
