      It's not all 100 years old but some eau de vie will be over 100 years old. You'd be supprised how much old eau de vie exists. I saw a bottle of cognac from 1780 as in 242 years old. But it was about £5000 a shot. You used to be able to buy 100 year brandies for about £1000 but now it's climbing.

      I think the difference is the decanter, and imperial may have slightly older eaux de vie, but for more than twice the amount, I’d just get the Richard Hennessy at that point

    • @Seattle206723
      @Seattle206723  6 лет назад +1

      I would say for my own taste profile; the Tesseron Lot 53 has been the best! I like a cognac with a good strong coco/chocolate taste! Behind that surprisingly for some would be the Hennessy XO it also has a good coco/chocolate flavor. Number 3 is difficult, but I'm going to give the edge to Hennessy Paradis, although the Tesseron Lot 29 is more bolder. Although Paradis is suppose to be delicate, but I like the Older Bolder Flavors of the Lot 29 a lot. Just depends on the day and occasion :)

    • @Seattle206723
      @Seattle206723  6 лет назад +1

      One more Thing! The Tesseron Lot 76 is a superb cognac! It has flower notes that are bold, and is versatile! Meaning you can add like heated Honey to it, and its going to another level! I like wildflower honey with it to blend more so with the notes of flower.

    Just learned that Hennessy adds coloring and something called Boise to their “aged” Cognac. The combination makes the Cognac look and taste older than it actually is. And that’s how they justify the $600 price tag. Also the alcohol content drops as it ages so they have to add newer blends to bring it back up to the proper volume.

      Im french and in fairness his pronunciation isnt that bad. In fact if you slow down the actual pronunciation, it sounds very similar to what he is saying.
      I would have thought people would be going crazy on his "Para-Disse" pronunciation instead of "Para-di"
      And lets be real, 98% of Cognac is exported outside of france so its not like he is gonna offend everyone for saying it imperfectly.
