      Most of the artists that use the "tapping" technique (was used as far back as the 1800s [?]) today have drawn their inspiration for their style of playing guitar from deceased artist, Michael Hedges (1953-1997). MH was doing things with his guitar that were new, extremely complex...and well, just experimental. The record label, Candyrat Records, wouldn't exist if not for Michael Hedges, according Andy McKee in this video of his attempt at MHs most renowned piece, Aerial Boundaries (ruclips.net/video/PkrEBUx2M5E/видео.html). AK even goes so far as to say that Aerial Boundaries is REALLY hard. Another artist that you might like is Canadian Calum Graham in his composition, The Nomad (a tribute to Michael Hedges) ruclips.net/video/2w7khl1lixQ/видео.html Enjoy being blown away. If you want to see Michael Hedges in concert playing Aerial Boundaries ruclips.net/video/tLXBABH2JuY/видео.html watch that. Be warned, the first couple of minutes are a few anecdotes about his touring and his reasons for inspirations for his music. He's quite funny actually. But also one of the humblest performers I've ever had the privilege to see and listen to.

    • @genewilliams617
      @genewilliams617 5 лет назад +22

      You should never quit because someone is better than you. There are players out there, better than this young man. That does not take away from his value. He has a unique gifting, and he's not afraid to be different, that's what seperates him other players. I'm a drummer, and I very much enjoy listening to him. Sometimes i play drum or percussion tracks in my head. Not that his music needs anything to prop it up, it's more for my own amusement. Typical patterns could never work for his music, so it's always a fun challenge to be tasty and compliment what he does.
      See, we don't know him personally, to know what he went thru to get to what we hear now. Sure he's a young man, but maybe he's been playing since he was 5 years old. We don't know that. The point is, take what God has blessed you with and do your very best with it. And if no one but you and God enjoys it, so what. You have a private audience with the creator of the universe. I mean, what else is there?
      I have been playing drumset since 1962, and the Holy Spirit still downloads new & different patterns to me while I'm playing. I play drumset & percussion on the worship team at my church. And these unique patterns seem to come outta nowhere (except I know where) in that environment. It's awesome, I love it. I just show up and get out of the way. That's when the best stuff happens. And I hear monster drummers, that would shame me, all the time.
      I don't know what it took for them to get there.
      Sorry I got alittle outta hand with this. But don't give up on yourself. Just enjoy what you have in this moment, and when that has passed, look ahead to the next possibility.
      ENJOY
      For some it comes easy, others have to work harder. But God created a uniqueness in everyone of us, we just have to be willing to search for it.

      я не о коментах, а о канале. Там есть кнопка - "о канале". И вот там такая хрень, которую нужно вбивать в гугл переводчик - "Hello! My name is Alexandr, I am the 20-years-old composer and arranger from Russia. Hope you'll enjoy my music! :)" Спрашивается, ну зачем? Я понимаю так, если я хочу о себе и о своём канале кому то что то сказать, то я говорю это на своём родном языке. И если кому то из иностранцев это интересно, то они могут это перевести в гугле. Лично меня бесит, когда русские пытаясь понравится англосаксам делают что то подобное,. Сразу теряется уважение к этому человеку. Какое то халуйское чувствуется. Но музыка конечно просто супер. Я в юности сам был гитарист и скрипач. Нравится хорошая музыка. Но такого я не слышал...

    • @AlexandrMisko
      @AlexandrMisko  6 лет назад +21

      Артур Чернявский
      Приветствую!
      Странно, что те 2 предложения о канале пробудили в вас столько негатива ко мне.
      Я поясню. Я русский, я люблю свою страну и своих российских слушателей, но музыка у меня универсальная. Она не привязана ни к конкретной стране, ни к конкретным людям определённого пола, возраста, расы, религии и так далее. Эту музыку могут слушать и получать от неё удовольствие люди со всего мира, что в итоге и происходит. Согласно геопозиции, из России этот ролик посмотрели всего 18 тысяч человек. Я не говорю, плохо это или хорошо, это просто факт.
      Русский язык понимают только в России и в некоторых странах СНГ, не считая, конечно, людей, изучающих его. Английский язык же знает или может понимать почти каждый человек на планете, так как это общепризнанное международное средство коммуникации.
      Чтобы не делать мой канал перенасыщенным одинаковыми текстами на разных языках, я, очевидно, выбрал один универсальный. Однако, я не забываю о своих поклонниках из России, поэтому все комментарии под видео дублирую на русском языке, а свои обращения в видео сопровождаю русскими субтитрами.
      Но в любом случае, я уважаю ваше мнение и точку зрения. Спасибо за отзыв, рад, что нравится моё творчество :)

    A living example of having the own style of playing with enacting it just correct at the same time.
    Hope there were no retakes during recording - then You're just a perfect musician.
