Insane level of talent required to do this
He turns one instrument into a whole band
God damn those mid song tunings were fire
thats so true who even does that? as a genuine question.
thats true actually haha
Jon Gomm does that too try listening to Passionflower
It takes skill to do that. But, I want to ask 'why' ... it's pointless. Not like you can't play the same notes without retuning is it. If it's simply showmanship then ok I get that, but to me music is important, and showmanship is not.
it's not pointless dumbass it replicates the sound of a singer flowing up notes instead of jumping straight up
This video inspired me to go use my guitar as firewood lol
Rory I I hung myself with my guitar strings. After seeing his amazing talent. This is my ghost, and I still can't play this in heaven!

This style is so amazing not only because every kind of sound is produced and the whole guitar is used, but because tuning becomes a way to make another type sound. This guy’s tuning moves makes the best sounds I’ve ever heard too
Oh are we tuning our guitars mid strum now? Oh okay
DC IsMe yeah dude it’s a John gomm technique . He’s got banjo tuners on the head stock to make it easier

@@rab46290 you are a moron
Me: *looks at guitar*
Guitar: ‘Don’t even think about it’
Doesn’t yours?
@alistair watt isn't music just a conversation with the player and the instrument?
@alistair watt Well, when you're just jamming, don't you ever hear something in particular you want to build on? You gave that instrument a voice, and you listened. If you start riffing on it and inputting new ideas, you hear how the guitar speaks it. I might just be a hippie, but that's how I see it
Other people understand :D
@@Jason-pg6ho hell yeah, dude! I'm learning bass after singing my whole life and I'm amazed at how different it feels from singing in where you go with it. Singing sucked for riffing cuz there was no visuals, but with my bass, I can actually look around the neck and pick what sounds good to me.
I've been playing guitar for 10 years, and almost daily for the past two. Sometimes I can play perfect, not missing a note, excellent timing. I think to myself, "Jeff, you're kicking ass with this guitar!" Then I see videos like these! I can barely work the neck and drumming throws off my melody.
Young man, you really kick ass!
Напишу по русски красиво сыграл( русских не желают видеть в коментах)
This is phenomenal. Recreating the entire drum kit was very cleverly done, and I'm astounded by the accuracy of tuning the guitar mid song to get the right note. Amazing job is an understatement.
When the rest of the band doesn’t show up
Now that is a good comment.
Hahahaha
Nice hahahahahah
A-ha I get it!
Who needs the band?
Literally one of the most technically proficient guitarists I've ever seen. Never seen so many techniques applied to a single song.

Like 14 hours a day to begin with. That's how the greatest made it

Most of the artists that use the "tapping" technique (was used as far back as the 1800s [?]) today have drawn their inspiration for their style of playing guitar from deceased artist, Michael Hedges (1953-1997). MH was doing things with his guitar that were new, extremely complex...and well, just experimental. The record label, Candyrat Records, wouldn't exist if not for Michael Hedges, according Andy McKee in this video of his attempt at MHs most renowned piece, Aerial Boundaries (ruclips.net/video/PkrEBUx2M5E/видео.html). AK even goes so far as to say that Aerial Boundaries is REALLY hard. Another artist that you might like is Canadian Calum Graham in his composition, The Nomad (a tribute to Michael Hedges) ruclips.net/video/2w7khl1lixQ/видео.html Enjoy being blown away. If you want to see Michael Hedges in concert playing Aerial Boundaries ruclips.net/video/tLXBABH2JuY/видео.html watch that. Be warned, the first couple of minutes are a few anecdotes about his touring and his reasons for inspirations for his music. He's quite funny actually. But also one of the humblest performers I've ever had the privilege to see and listen to.
Every time I watch this, he still blows me away! Unbelievable.
Oh my god dude. Just how? Changing the tuning on at least half of the strings mid song, keeping the bass notes as much as you can, the constant drum beat. this is unbelievable, straight up.
For his next cover, he will nail each band member's part including vocals, while assembling the guitar.

Wow such awesome talent. I bet this took a long time to master! I play piano and yeah the hours I've spent trying to get better and do covers to songs have been immense.
"How do you feel about different tunings?"
Alexandr: "Yes".
This upload is why RUclips and the internet were invented, the only downside is the legions of guitarists (like me) admitting defeat after decades of playing and quitting :(
You should never quit because someone is better than you. There are players out there, better than this young man. That does not take away from his value. He has a unique gifting, and he's not afraid to be different, that's what seperates him other players. I'm a drummer, and I very much enjoy listening to him. Sometimes i play drum or percussion tracks in my head. Not that his music needs anything to prop it up, it's more for my own amusement. Typical patterns could never work for his music, so it's always a fun challenge to be tasty and compliment what he does.
See, we don't know him personally, to know what he went thru to get to what we hear now. Sure he's a young man, but maybe he's been playing since he was 5 years old. We don't know that. The point is, take what God has blessed you with and do your very best with it. And if no one but you and God enjoys it, so what. You have a private audience with the creator of the universe. I mean, what else is there?
I have been playing drumset since 1962, and the Holy Spirit still downloads new & different patterns to me while I'm playing. I play drumset & percussion on the worship team at my church. And these unique patterns seem to come outta nowhere (except I know where) in that environment. It's awesome, I love it. I just show up and get out of the way. That's when the best stuff happens. And I hear monster drummers, that would shame me, all the time.
I don't know what it took for them to get there.
Sorry I got alittle outta hand with this. But don't give up on yourself. Just enjoy what you have in this moment, and when that has passed, look ahead to the next possibility.
ENJOY
For some it comes easy, others have to work harder. But God created a uniqueness in everyone of us, we just have to be willing to search for it.
You play for the joy
That is really the best reason to play. Every thing else is superficial fluff.
I love Aha's music this gave a new angle to it loved it it was interesting. And loved the guitar 🎸 technique too.

My name is Alexandr, I am the 20-years-old composer and arranger from Russia. Hope you'll enjoy my music!
