from carly monardo and her team, thank you!! the budget ($6K) was HUGE in terms of a person paying to live in the world but EXTREMELY TINY in terms of producing four minutes of animation. Carly did an amazing job producing and directing this thing and I love how it turned out.

Keep in mind, that this was made in 2012 or 2013, a lot of animation software was still not that well suited for faster paced work environments. Also multiple people were involved. Even a short video like this needs a story board and artistic direction. Since Carly Monardo and her team seem to be from NY, I'm surprised, that this video did not cost much more money.
I just want to say that I'm also aware that voltron exists and it is confusing to me why there would be confusion in this thread about people who rap on this song knowing about voltron

How could people not know that this was a parody of/tribute to Voltron??? What, did they think you serendipitously guessed at combining animal robots, and the specific looks of the flight suits, and the clear parodies of Koran and Nanny that appeared at the end?

I think it's excellent with the choppy animation. It feels more faithful to the hand drawn cartoons from the late 80's and early 90's (Lots of repeating "stock" footage, very few moving objects, etc). I honestly thought it was intentional, poking fun at that style by taking it the extreme.

What's really great is that you seem like a really decent guy.
Actually this sort of reminds me of Voltron Force (the nickelodeon re-make) in that, in that series, the lions really COULD take turns forming the head, which changed Voltron's weapons (red got light guns, yellow a ball and chain mace, blue a trident and green a shuriken I think)
Really excellent job with the artwork. Very true to the original and the characters were on model pretty much throughout. It wouldve been nice to have more fluid animation, but for a couple people with what I imagine was no budget, this was outstanding
I didn't realize it until seeing this, but I'm going to need an entire Voltron-esque musical about this crew. This song would go at the end of act 2 since they break up because they *~*jUsT cAn'T cOoPeRaTe*~*.
