I am amused how Iggy appeared on this program to deliver a statement. Ignoring and talking over the interviewer's questions, Iggy would make a great politician. He ought to run for office.
He seems to do it in most interviews, his brain is moving quickly and the pace of the interview is too slow. He speeds up then has to slow down to gather his thoughts. Amphetamine used to do that to me.
quite the opposite of a politician. a politician presents the world with a false veneer and a smile. Iggy on the other states “i’m here to increase my financial base and get my face out there and become more popular.” - entirely nonartistic reasons, without any political covertness. More shill and sell-out than at all political. even lower than a politician.
@@adambrass5163 It might not be political, but he's saying that because he doesn't hide the fact that the man has to make a living, like some other rockstars have done in the past/present, he's got to put food on the table somehow. It's crazy man, a few years ago I would have found it distasteful but after a few extra years in the game, and seeing more and more hypocrites breed I admire that Iggy Pop, who really did create some great original music that was more dangerous than most, wanted to increase his wealth and influence because even legends like him went through hell and rejection to get to where they are today. God bless all who got to see him and others of his calibre. I love him because not only do I just love classic rock but I love the people who were alternative and weird even in those early days and anyone who got to see that is very lucky.
