the plastic cladding is only on cross country models. Standard models don't have plastic cladding.

Finally a perspective that didn't drone on about steering feel or compare it to a BMW's steering feel. The most important part of a car's ownership isn't steering feel to most buyers. It's how is it to live with everyday. And how does it feel after driving it regularly day after day. And that's where Volvos shine.
I’m so thankful for Volvo for not forcing customers to buy the raised model with plastic cladding. You can get a regular V60. Mercedes is doing away with their regular E class wagon :(
You can't get the normal V60 with AWD anymore, though, which is kind of ridiculous.
Update: You can only buy the Cross Country wagons in America now, both V60 and V90.
Saab driver here, I love driving these v60s and would spec one with the B&W sound system, pilot assist and massaging seats.
Hell yeah long live the wagon! These deserve so much more love than they get. I gotta say...if I needed a daily dad whip cruiser, this would probably be my #1 choice. I might skip the cross country and I think I’d get a lower trim version to keep the price in check. But I’d probably splurge on the B&W audio, too

My favorite POV drive with you is behind the wheel of the 2019 Type R Sonic Grey. Those first and last impression POV videos you made is one of the reasons why I’m planning on getting that car sometime this year. I’ve been watching those videos daily while we’ve been asked to Shelter in Place here in the Bay Area. I’m looking at getting a Red one. Watching those videos helps me stay positive and something to look forward to hopefully after we get our lives back together again.
This is crying out for those killer plaid seat option. Bonus points to Volvo for including a spare tire.
The new Volvo lineup is quite nice. My Mom has the 2020 XC90 T6 Inscription AWD and it’s one of the nicest interiors I’ve ever seen. Plus when you step on it, it pulls hard as hell with the supercharger 😂

I'm a 2017 Volvo XC90 T6 R-Design owner. The V90 T6 Cross Country Ocean Race Edition would be my Volvo wagon of choice. This V60CC looks great as well though.
the proportions of this badboy is great, the cross package makes it look a little extra confident, from the regular v60.

If my daily driver had a sound system like that, I'd never leave the car. That's easily the best system I've heard over RUclips.

I love this vehicle, the only gripe I have is the Canadian market spec. The only available seat option is those found in the base momentum, without leg extensions or the improved bolstering.
I'd love a V60 that's not the cross country version or even a V90. Save the wagons!!

Wish they made a T6 version of this, but I understand demand for wagons is already low , but the T6 regular wagon version (non cross country) is special order only.

Great reviews. How is Volvo reliability? I'm drawn to this Volvo but a little concerned about maintenance costs. My 2009 Acura TSX has been mostly problem free and still purrs coming up on 13 years. I just wonder if I would be disappointed switching from Japanese reliability to European luxury (lack of) reliability. At least that my perception based on my colleagues' stories of their bills for BMWs and Audis.

Yea it just happens. Even my 2013 Civic EX-L with the "Premium Audio System" does this.

TM Pretty much in 2020 all companies use a high end sound system.

It sure would be nice if Volvo would stop cutting engine choices and other options in the NA market every frickin' year the S/V60-series is available. How about they give us the B6 or T6 PHEV powertrain? Bring back AWD on the normal wagon? Put the paddles back on the R-Design trims? It's getting ridiculous; these cars were on my radar two years ago and now, in MY2021 with my current lease coming up, they've de-contented and generally reduced them so much that there's just no substance for the money anymore. And that's before accounting for Volvo's other brand quirks.
