volvos dont have dynamic mode, they may have polestar mode but i guess his didnt have it. Polestar would accelerate noticeably faster but would have same max speed.

I have the 2020 S60 (sedan) but they give a topspeed of 250 km/hour, you didn’t make that why ?
I have the 2005 S60... Beautiful car. That baby just flies. And can handle any winter road conditions in the Canadian prairies. I've never owned a car as solid, fast, and capable as that.
My 2010 V50 is capped at 233. It could make it to 250+ but oh well; there's no good reason to go that fast

246 tacho, pretty close to 235 official speed .next time bring a gps app. Many free for Iphone/Android. Nice drive. Maybe the last progress from 200/205 to 240 takes a loong time. You feel the 1.800kg car...

@@scottysvensson absolutely correct no error on those cars. I have 2019 T5 S60 and Polestar V60, both have the speed perfectly calibrated to gps speed

It is not the mass but the air resistance which makes the top speed slow to obtain , The air resistance is 4 times as much at 152 mph than at 80 mph the car was probably doing 5 mpg ... If a F1 car had no wings it could do 500 mph probably
@@SizZ1eR i actually have 2x V60 D3 and D4 2018; 2x XC60 2019 D2 company cars and V60 2018 D4 + XC90 B5 2020 all cars have perfect speeds matching GPS. On previous s60/V70 (2010/2013) difference was less than 5kmh @140kmh.... i also have 2 Toyota Auris Hybid of 2018 and those cars are crazy out well over 5%. At 130kmh tacho GPS show 113-114kmh... Also that Toyota errors is counted on trip count so when I make A to B trip (2 facility of the group) with any of our Volvo we get 162/163km distance, same trip with the Toyota Auris it show about 180.... Toyota is a shame

My t5 S60 averages 32 mpg, it’s not too bad with gas.
Either you trust other drivers waaaaay to much or there some kind of laws in place for this highway to be able for you to trust them like this haha.
Well, I absolutely do not trust other drivers but we have laws that requires drivers to drive as far right as possible and only overtake in other lanes. With experience on the Autobahn and lots of anticipating other drivers actions, it is possible to drive that fast safely.
in germany we call it STVO. Not many here know what it is but its 100 times safer than the USA for example haha
no its opposite, here in EU we learn on first lessons to never trust other drivers and always assume they will make mistake. Generally when we drive cars in EU we drive cars, we dont talk with phone in hand, we dont eat, we dont watch tiktok like 50% of americans do when they drive. So in returns roads are much more safer and we can have on average higher speed limits etc compared to usa. Difference is huge, Germany has 3 fatalities per 100k citizens while USA has 12. ITS huge gap, USA is closer to India then any other civilized country in terms of road safety.
I have the same car. My Fuel Consumption in the city is around 12-13L/100km. Volvo officials wrote, it should be around 10L. Who's write?
i have s60 t5 and yes its 12-13l in city. 10l Volvo says is same usual stuff all companies do, its best they achieved in perfect conditions, so its not wrong and its not lie that it can do 10l it just realistically never will but could ;)

I think that is a very stupid and unneccessary decision by volvo. Consumers sould be allowed to choose how fast they want to drive. I doubt if more than 5% of drivers drive more than 160km/h. I guess volvo will automatically lose drivers that drive top speed on the autobahn and other roads.
I’m just so glad I got my new XC40 T5 now instead of next year. As much as I like the car, this will be the first and last Volvo for me because of the speed restriction.

@@igorwarszawa7691 hehe👍👍👍 po prostu nawet starsze i słabsze samochody o podobnej masie są szybsze, niż takie super nowoczesne i dość mocne Volvo. Taki w211 E320 CDI (lub CLS), ale nawet jakieś Passaty/Superby 2.0 TFSI też dają radę... Volvo ostatnio robi się wg mnie takie jakieś... Mega nijakie.☹

You are right, i have just looked it up. Weirdly, its registration slip said it had 400Nm. That must have been an error.

This V60 is equipped with the Polestar Optimisation package, usually indicated by a white badge next to the 'T5' or 'Inscription' logo (not to be confused with the V60 Polestar (405 HP) which has some physical Polestar upgrades, like brakes and suspension). It adds 3 HP (250 -> 253) and 50 NM (350 -> 400) to the engine. I hope this clarifies the situation for you :).
