My 1st two cars were Volvos: 122S Wagon & 145S. For the time both were great cars with safety, economy, and comfort way ahead of their peers. While current Volvos are still the best looking "wagons" around after 2 Subarus Outbacks I wouldn't go back. Subies may not be quite as deluxe but they offer more cargo space, better mpg, safety features and comfort on par with Volvos for $10-$15K less.
Great review of a beautiful car. I really, really hate the use of the touch screen for frequently used controls like the climate settings. They are so distracting to use while driving. I liked the old Volvo climate control buttons with the side view of the passenger. Easy to use without looking.

The only things that sets it apart are the lower trim along the wheel wells, higher clearance, and “labeling”. I miss my old 2006 xc70.
