Chewie lost his family, his planet, his life long best friend, Han solo, he also lost Yoda, and he got torchured and got thrown into a pit in solo, luke and finally he lost leia. He truly lived a harsh and good life.

Let's hope we get a flashback/ vision of Han and Ben in TROS. JJ missed that chance in TFA when he cut off the scene of Ben in the falcon. It would have added so much depth to their story. Very much hoping for Ben's redemption...
I'm gonna make this as short as I can. My father was a giant star wars fan. He passed before i was old enough to remember him. He left me a ton of star wars stuff. Han was his hero and I grew up being a fan as well, made me feel closer to my dad. When han was killed off it destroyed my heart. It was like I lost my dad but i witnessed it. This made me laugh cry and smile. Thank you for this HFP. You will never know how deep this has touched my heart. As han said to luke, May the force be with you.
"No one is ever really gone" ;-) right? Even if they are just a memory or even someone else's memory you carry them forward, like an Olympic athlete carrying a torch. Jesus says we are like lights, that we are torches on a lamp stand to give light to the house and the world. Through Jesus, we have eternal life. I pray you get to see your Father someday. As I pray I get to be with my dad too whom I miss very much. May the force, but more importantly, God be with us all.
There is no easy answer to that question. Solo was the rebel in all of us (no pun intended) as Lucas viewed a “devil may care” rebel to be. Therefore, even though he had a huge hand in the movie, Han Solo was never going to be the rebel in Solo that he was in Star Wars and beyond. I say this knowing that Lucas and Howard have a history together. But the Lucas Solo I grew up with and the Howard Solo could never be the same Solo. Having said that, I did like Solo because it was about Han Solo, one of my heroes growing up. It was a good movie, one heck of a story, and if I was not so old it would have given me a different view of him because I would not have grown up getting to know him so well already. And, Han Solo’s heart was not the only one sliced through when Ben murdered his father. I think we all died a little that day. RIP Han Solo.

Jack Smith As an added footnote, I did not like the “full front end” of the Millennium Falcon. The Falcon I grew up with had a big chunk missing and was perfect. Now, I know what the YT-1300 was supposed to look like in certain configurations but I also know what the Falcon was supposed to look like and it was out of place. That was my biggest disappointment of the movie. The Falcon is special because she symbolizes freedom of mobility, liberty of movement and she is the most awesome space hot rod (reference to American Graffiti) in the galaxy. Well, when the hyperdrive works that is. And here is a small private joke I chuckle about to myself whenever I think about it. Calrissian: I’ll take care of her. She she won’t get a scratch! Luke "died" as soon as Disney recast his character into someone other than the Luke Skywalker that we all knew and loved. To be honest, I only felt anger and disappointment when Luke died. When Han died, however, I was devastated as well. I was so numbed by it that it put a damper on the rest of the movie for me and I walked out of the theater after the credits rolled feeling like I'd just experienced the death of an old friend whom I hadn't seen in years. It's kind of bitterly ironic that Harrison Ford never liked the character of Han Solo because, to me, he was arguably the most likable character from episodes 4-6.
When he said chewie we're home, I teared up, i wish they either make a sequel to solo or a tv show, or a show between ROTJ and TFA about Han and Chewbacca
I've tweeted out it to them, and I am sure many others have done the same, all it takes is it to either start going viral, or them noticing it with the right wording and hashtags, and they will come looking. That’s the way YOU feel and i completely understand that, and there’s a lot of people that feel the same way. But dont expect EVERYONE to feel that way. All film is subjective and it hits people in different ways. There are some people like myself that have enjoyed them for the most part. Believe me there some things i wish they have done different, but what’s done is done. We shouldn’t let our disappointments shroud the enjoyments everyone else is experiencing. That just turns everything toxic.

Not only is this a moving tribute to Han, Chewie, Lando, The Falcon and Leia, but it is also a great reminder of why The Rise of Skywalker could be incredible; it will (hopefully) be a satisfying culmination of all of these characters' stories, and I can't wait to see how it all ends, and then what people like you do with it afterwards :)
Honestly The Force Awakens was the first Star Wars movie I properly watched in the theaters and sequel trilogy controversy aside, that was a REALLY good movie
Not that unpopular anymore. it's developing a kind of cult following. TV series is most likely coming at some point. Solo was a good movie, it just came out at the wrong time and too soon after last jedi.
Alot of people didn't like solo but this right here proves how good and important it actually is. Sure the actor isn't Harison Ford but those are some huge boots to fill and I think he did a really good job playing Han Solo and I really wouldn't mind seeing him in another movie

I gotta say bro. I've only recently discovered your work, and I cannot stop recommending it to people. This one just keeps bringing me back, the music at 6:18 gets me every damn time... seriously well done
I am one of the biggest Star Wars fans ever. I love everything about it and nothing can make me dislike it. My all time, hands down favorite character in anything is Han Solo. And it’s him for these reasons, (I’m not going to be touching on The movie solo) 1. In A New Hope, Han is someone who wants to be taken seriously and is very set on money, and saving himself from Jabba The Hutt. Until he met Luke and Leia. 2. Luke Luke and Han were best friends, (chewie was more like family to Han) and they did everything together. They blew up the 1st and 2nd Death Stars together, they helped the rebellion thrive together, and most importantly they cared about each other. Han was someone who was very set on the materialistic things, and would never choose to do something purely out of emotion. Until he had someone to be emotional about, Leia. 3. Leia Han and Leia are my favorite couple in anything ever. When I first watched the empire strikes back I was just begging for them to fall in love and when they did, my heart melted and I was complete. Han and Leia’s relationship is beautiful. Han began expressing his feelings for Leia at the Yavin Ceremony at the end of a new Hope, when he winked at her after she gave him his medal. This was the beginning because before that (other than the, “What do you think. A princess and a guy like me…” because that was just him saying that to spite Luke) Han’s character never showed much emotion or expressed any feelings. So a wink and a smile from both of them really set off their relationship. I could go on for hours but I’m gonna end everything here. This comment is a train wreck, but long story short I am in love with Han Solo and his story, and I think it would have been sweet if he and Leia died together or something like that. Thank you, and may the force be with you. (Rey is a Skywalker and I’m not debating this)

That’s the way YOU feel and i completely understand that, and there’s a lot of people that feel the same way. But dont expect EVERYONE to feel that way. All film is subjective and it hits people in different ways. There are some people like myself that have enjoyed them for the most part.
Believe me there some things i wish they have done different, but what’s done is done. We shouldn’t let our disappointments shroud the enjoyments everyone else is experiencing. That just turns everything toxic.

Not only is this a moving tribute to Han, Chewie, Lando, The Falcon and Leia, but it is also a great reminder of why The Rise of Skywalker could be incredible; it will (hopefully) be a satisfying culmination of all of these characters' stories, and I can't wait to see how it all ends, and then what people like you do with it afterwards :)
Honestly The Force Awakens was the first Star Wars movie I properly watched in the theaters and sequel trilogy controversy aside, that was a REALLY good movie

Not that unpopular anymore. it's developing a kind of cult following. TV series is most likely coming at some point. Solo was a good movie, it just came out at the wrong time and too soon after last jedi.

Alot of people didn't like solo but this right here proves how good and important it actually is. Sure the actor isn't Harison Ford but those are some huge boots to fill and I think he did a really good job playing Han Solo and I really wouldn't mind seeing him in another movie
He takes Chewie's advice and goes down below only to find Ben and walk to his death. Makes it even more heartbreaking for Chewie.
Watching this after seeing Rise of Skywalker makes this somehow even more heart-wrenching.

That transition when the falcon lifted off into the air during the Jakku chase, I got chills!
I am one of the biggest Star Wars fans ever. I love everything about it and nothing can make me dislike it. My all time, hands down favorite character in anything is Han Solo. And it’s him for these reasons, (I’m not going to be touching on The movie solo)
1. In A New Hope, Han is someone who wants to be taken seriously and is very set on money, and saving himself from Jabba The Hutt. Until he met Luke and Leia.
2. Luke
Luke and Han were best friends, (chewie was more like family to Han) and they did everything together. They blew up the 1st and 2nd Death Stars together, they helped the rebellion thrive together, and most importantly they cared about each other. Han was someone who was very set on the materialistic things, and would never choose to do something purely out of emotion. Until he had someone to be emotional about, Leia.
3. Leia
Han and Leia are my favorite couple in anything ever. When I first watched the empire strikes back I was just begging for them to fall in love and when they did, my heart melted and I was complete. Han and Leia’s relationship is beautiful. Han began expressing his feelings for Leia at the Yavin Ceremony at the end of a new Hope, when he winked at her after she gave him his medal. This was the beginning because before that (other than the, “What do you think. A princess and a guy like me…” because that was just him saying that to spite Luke) Han’s character never showed much emotion or expressed any feelings. So a wink and a smile from both of them really set off their relationship. I could go on for hours but I’m gonna end everything here.
This comment is a train wreck, but long story short I am in love with Han Solo and his story, and I think it would have been sweet if he and Leia died together or something like that.

Oh man... This year I will hit 30 years... and I have to say you teared me up with it. A duo for the ages... and after seeing the last movie this got me even more emotional about those two.
