We visited the parks in January, my husband's first trip since 1989. One of the big things he wanted to do was meet Donald, and we got the opportunity at Tusker House. When I mentioned that my husband had been waiting to meet him for 30+ years, Donald tapped his watch and stamped his foot. I laughed so hard. Best costume character, full stop 😂
The Ice-Capades costumes were *articulated* ? Wow, that's so impressive, especially when you keep in mind the technology at the time and the budget they had to work with. Honestly I would love seeing you dive deeper into this topic. Also I'm down to see the weird history behind College Mascot Donald #DonaldDuckthrowsdown
You're right, Disney Dan. Donald Duck is a lot of fun. In fact, the very first time I met Donald Duck during the Christmas season, he saw my Goofy t-shirt and grabbed and pulled it out of anger. That was the sign that my Disney trip was not going to be ordinary at all. It was going to be amazing, which it was. I caught my whole first interaction with the duck on video.
LOL same! You literally described my meet n greet two weeks ago lol I had a goofy shirt and I had just finished taking a pic with goofy then moved on to Donald and he was upset and turned his back lol loved it
Seeing Herbie twice in this video makes me feel like we need a Herbie Disney Parks Evolution. I feel Herbie would be interesting since even in the same park, and in the same year they had two Herbie designs wandering around at the same time.
One of my favorite Disney memories of all times was when I was with my grandparents at a character dining restaurant (I'm 99.9% sure it was Hollywood and vine) and Donald pointed to my grandfather's Korean War vet hat and clapped, thanking him for his service. I just thought it was so sweet and the fact Donald duck canonically is a vet too made it even cooler
They may have served in two different wars, but one thing is for certain: soldiers are pretty much brothers or sisters in arms. I thank your grandfather for his service. 😊🫡🇺🇸
I’ve never had a disappointing interaction with Donald. Always 10/10. I’m not sure what’s funnier: his narcissism when you’re wearing Donald merch or his anger when you’re wearing Mickey merch.
I made a video of my very first encounter with Donald Duck. He got mad at my Goofy shirt as if it were a Mickey shirt and grabbed, twisted, and pulled it in a hilarious temper tantrum. Donald Duck made sure that my vacation trip there was more memorable and greater than any other previous theme park I went to.
As a kid the character costumes always fascinated me and it’s very hard to find information on them. It’s really because of the magic that Disney doesn’t give out much info I get it. I’ve gotten information only from people who have worked as Characters till your videos. Thanks DisneyDan.
The newest Donald Mascot costume is so adorable and a perfect recreation of Donald!💙 Oswald may be my favourite but I love Donald too! I wish I could meet them in a Disney park someday!
I have a soft spot for the cartoony Donald Duck costume, they always used promo pics with that costumes whenever they did adverts for Disneyland Paris in the swedish Donald Duck comic books.
At 10:06 that’s what Donald looked like the first time I went to Disneyland in 1991. I was 4 years old and I didn’t enjoyed it at all I was terrified of the costumed characters. Although I didn’t meet Donald to me those huge pupils are straight up uncanny valley territory and would defiantly have terrified me
Fantastic remaster of one of your classic evolution videos. ^^ Didn’t know articulated Donald had his own Meet and Greet. Mickey usually takes most of the spotlight. #DonaldDuckThrowsDown
Love the vids! Former character cast member here. I was actually used to design the Buzz Lightyear costume and was the first Buzz so I’m basically a LIVING LEGEND! But this brings back SO many memories!
Time really flies. I remember watching you back when you were opening the Disney Crossy Road toys and then evolution of characters in the park. I'll always be happy to watch your videos for many more years to come.
Last September I was looking all over for Donald Duck for a photo with him at Disney world I swear he was dodging me 😅 Finally got one with him on a Disney cruise months later life achievement fulfilled 😂
Cool!!! Speaking of Donald Duck, any thoughts on bringing back the Duck Family that made appearances throughout Donald’s 50th in 1984? Not to mention bringing other Disney Duck Family members to the parks, especially at Disneyland’s new Toontown.
Recently my friend and I went to Magic Kingdom and Epcot and I had my small plushie of Donald with me and when he saw it his interactions with it were the cutest thing ever! I got to take lots of amazing polaroids of it and I will cherish the moment always!
Donald is my favorite character! I never did like the "Toontown" Donald...he just never quite looked like himself. The current version is the absolute refinement of all of the previous though. I've had several great interactions with Donald in the parks over the years, from playing hide-and-seek on Main Street, to learning to tell him "You're my favorite" in Japanese while at Tokyo Disneyland. His reaction to that was very funny and memorable for me.
on a completely different note, the hotel that the Oregon duck is advertising for (the graduate) is a great hotel chain and I can't recommend them enough
I'm in the same boat when it comes to doing a Donald voice - I can kind of pull it off, but my grandfather's Donald impression was LEGENDARY, and he didn't even have to do anything special like the tongue thing or the air pocket in the cheeks some people have mentioned in the comments. He was able to do tons of cool little things like that.
You need to be a sassy performer to be friends with Donald! We were in animal kingdom and my kids (3 and 5 at the time) walked up to Donald , huge smile and autograph books out he slapped them out of their hands and brought them in for a huge hug and it was hysterical! We got a really good pics with him. Then daisy stole my husband and walked down to show him off to Uncle Scrooge lol
Oh my god...is that a Jock from Lady and the Tramp costume in the background at 5:55 ??? And who is that other giant brown dog behind him?? It doesn't look like Trusty...maybe Lady??
Wow what a wonderful history of Donald Duck! Your coverage of Donald’s different costumes is fantastic! Donald Duck is such a special character in my heart. I love his adorable feathers and his cute little sailor suit too! The powdered blue eyes from the 80s costume actually look okay to me but the new eyes are great too. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Please do the Oregon University Duck history too! @#Donaldduckthrowsdown!
What are those two giant dog costumes at the 5:54 time stamp? My wife and I have been scouring the internet trying to figure it out and we can't find any information on them!
It cracks me up so much that Walt Disney, the man who thought of everything, who redesigned the modern trash can for opening day, forgot he'd need costumed characters for opening day 🤣.
i did a donald disneybound last time i went and he seen me from the parade and ran over and hugged me it was awesome i met him six times in the few days i was there haha
Oh wait!!! You forgot the Disney On Ice one!!!! I attended it December 28th 2022 and I made a very high rating (probably the same ratings as Sherine Abdelwahab, my persistent favourite singer) that I hoped to meet every performers behind the mascots, not just the one behind Donald Duck!
I wish we could have that articulated Donald and others in Disney as roaming characters every day, to bad I won’t get that experience when I go to Disney world 😢
Whe I went to Disney world with my fam back in 2019, we went to animal kingdom and did one of the buffets around the switch between breakfast and lunch. Donald ended up walking around at somepoint and came up to our table in which after a bit I think I went to reach for my drink but ended up knocking it over, but it was okay cause Donald took the fault for it :’) He made a little scene out of cleaning it up it was really funny
Fun personal story: The second time I went to Disney land in California I sat on a bench with the dog walking lady from Mary poppins and we talked for almost an hour
This is one of the few times where the topic of "Disney" & "Remaster" being put together makes me feel excited!
What about epic Mickey rebrushed (which is a remaster)
We visited the parks in January, my husband's first trip since 1989. One of the big things he wanted to do was meet Donald, and we got the opportunity at Tusker House. When I mentioned that my husband had been waiting to meet him for 30+ years, Donald tapped his watch and stamped his foot. I laughed so hard. Best costume character, full stop 😂
I said to Donald Duck that I wanted to see him for 28+ years, except he was more shocked than angry.
The Ice-Capades costumes were *articulated* ?

The early Donalds are haunting. My grandpa could do a Donald voice. I miss him. Candycorn Donald is one of the BEST Donalds
Bro travelled back in time to comment
Bro, this came out like 30 or 40 something minutes ago. How are you commenting from an hour ago the fuck
@@mrbush9819 no, it came out like 9 minutes ago
Melissa is one of Dan's Patrons, in the end credits.

Ok I would adore the Oregon ducks video! Great remaster of the video, Donald is my favorite character to meet in the parks❤

9:33 This a fun duck!
My big fave is still the 2002 Modern Donald used today. Thanks for the remake Dan.
Same here. The 2002 outfit looks exactly like him.
@@tuckerduke2662, no doubt about it.
Thank you Dan for your history on mascot costumes. :)
Fantastic remaster of one of your classic evolution videos. ^^ Didn’t know articulated Donald had his own Meet and Greet. Mickey usually takes most of the spotlight.

I'm so happy you remade this video. Donald is my favorite character and I love seeing all his versions. I need his cruise outfit for myself. Haha.
Great, now Howard the Duck is going to be stuck in my brain for all of eternity. Thanks Dan.
7:30 HERBIE! Make evolution of Herbie in disney parks next!
So cool to see the old archival footage of the parks and the ice-capades! Thank you as always for putting so much work and research into these videos.
Donald Duck: Aka the one character that many have trouble doing an impression of.
My brother can do an impression of Donald duck
Love the vids! Former character cast member here. I was actually used to design the Buzz Lightyear costume and was the first Buzz so I’m basically a LIVING LEGEND! But this brings back SO many memories!
Cool!
That's awesome! I'm curious, was the 1995 Toy used in any influence to the costume?
Disney Dan On A Weekday? What The Duck?! 😂❤ 🦆
Your laugh is so infectious!!
None of those ice capades costumes truly came out unscathed but Donald feels like he’s been the least messed up since the beginning.
I’m so excited for you to see live action Ariel she beautiful and so sweet ❤🧜🏾♂️. Thanks for the amazing content 🎆🎇🎆🎇

Dan never disappoints us 😊❤
Excellent update didn’t expect the vintage ice skate footage, really neat to see
I am anxiously awaiting more Horace Horsecollar content from your channel🐴
Oh Donald, You're always getting mad.
I still think that his garble is all cuss words
Too much anger in him
As a kid growing up in Oregon, I always wondered why Donald was on all of the U of O merch! Would love to hear that story! #DonaldDuckThrowsDOWN
Cool!!! Speaking of Donald Duck, any thoughts on bringing back the Duck Family that made appearances throughout Donald’s 50th in 1984? Not to mention bringing other Disney Duck Family members to the parks, especially at Disneyland’s new Toontown.
Donald has always been my favorite! We love the duck! 💙🩵
I want examples of ALL the different outfits they put him in. C'mon, you're Disney Dan. I expect more.
Boooooo
Donald is one of my favorite characters along with Goofy. It’s always so fun seeing him in the parks!
He certainly is, especially when he physically interacts with you (i.e. pulling your shirt out of hilarious anger).
7:31
Oh, God…
Herbie, What happened to you??
Dan should do a Herbie Evolution. :)
I was never able to do a Donald Duck voice. Then you just made it that easy and now I can do it! Thank you!
Recently my friend and I went to Magic Kingdom and Epcot and I had my small plushie of Donald with me and when he saw it his interactions with it were the cutest thing ever! I got to take lots of amazing polaroids of it and I will cherish the moment always!
Talking Mickey was weird, talking Donald was the holiest thing blessed on this Disneyland
the extra fluff makes him have bangs like a cartoon & I love that.
is it wierd that at 12:10 i smelled him, like the smell of the costume from every character that you meet
to me it just smells like laundry detergent and yes ik im weird but it smells good

Donald is my favorite ngl 😂
Finland definitely loves Donald Duck
Can you do a Bugs Bunny costume evolution?
One fact did you know Donald actually swears 3 times due to is appearance as a sailor😂😂❤❤
Dude, I have to say I love your videos! You are so positive in a time when negativity reigns! I have just subscribed.

That sounds so fun. I wish that happened to me in my youth.
im obsessed by these opening costumes from 1955
I was ready for your Phooey shirt but am excited to see your new merch! And it’s slightly weird that I know your wardrobe. LOOK AWAY!
We ❤ Donald Duck!

Can you upload the evolution of Jiminy Cricket costumes in Disneyland & more? Yes or no?
1:01 duck quack 🦆
I love Donald he’s my favourite of the crew.
Same with me. He's the most expressive out of all of the Sensational Six.
You should consider talking about the Splash Mountain character costumes, I think it would be pretty interesting
happy 90th birthday donald duck!!! :3
7:39, Optimus prime with dentures
Some of the storybooks from the 80s does have prime with a human face
Now it's seen on Transformers One film
Donald duck is sleepy😂😂😂
Gotta love the courageous duck
I love thus channel so much!!! Dan is the one that really sparked my Disney history obsession.
Man, I need a Pluto video!
Please 🙏 can you do evolution of Peanuts characters costumes in Knott’s Berry Farm and the Cedar Fair theme parks please 🙏 Disney Dan?
Disney Dan remember your Lego Dimensions videos

7:38 Was that the bite of 87
But another great Disney Dan video
This is a good time to post this. Because Donald is turning 89 soon.
Hopefully when I go to Disney, they can answer a long awaited question
Day 2 of me asking for a Launchpad Mcquack costume evolution
10:32 i literally said "oh no" out loud. No no 1990's, no no

Can you do a costume evolution on sleeping beauty?
Ok the Donald Duck Throw down sounds interesting
I think you should have called this a "ReMOUSEster"!
Are you able to do a DIStory about characters from Song of the South?
You can never beat the original🎉
Whe I went to Disney world with my fam back in 2019, we went to animal kingdom and did one of the buffets around the switch between breakfast and lunch. Your videos have this way of cheering me up so thank you 😊
just got back from the theater watching the little mermaid. Great video to watch afterwards 🫶
