I found when I was flipping furniture, it wasn't always about the budget, but it was the quality of the piece. In the 70's and 80's, mass produced furniture was easy to find but not well made. I gravitated toward pieces from the 40's and 50's to use for my children. They were heavier and could stand up the rigorous use.
Beautiful........again! Love the drawer liner, so pretty and classy looking. I think the price is fair. You couldn't touch it for less than 1500 I would think in the store. It turned out beautifully! Blessings and keep up the beautiful work!
Beautiful job. I love the hardware choice. Drawer liner looks great and finished. Try wallpaper on the sides of drawers for a pop of surprise, maybe on a vanity?
Love watching your videos….. Can you please make a video on how to restore old shiny or painted pieces of furniture back to the natural wood, kind of like a Scandinavian look ? Thank you
7:11 I love those nightstands. Are you going to refinish those or are they already done? I love them as they are, but I would really love for you to do a video on making those over. It's your business, of course, but I love those! The piece turned out beautifully! Very classy!
I've never ever seen anyone turn the drawer stoppers around to get the drawers out. I've seen others as well as myself just take a long flat headed screwdriver and press down on the end that is sticking up while pulling the drawer out. It's as easy as that. Love the black on this dresser. 😊
You are such a professional, so good at these videos. The teaching profession lost such an asset. Yes, classic furniture is timeless, you won't get tired of it.
OMG, at :53 you had a corner of another dresser that looked similar to one I have. Could you pleaseeeee tell me what that style is and how to best revive it? Okay, I can calm down now and watch the current video and learn some techniques!
Lauren, you mentioned a cleaner that didn’t have to be removed, can you please tell me what it was? This piece turned out so pretty and timeless it is!
Hello I wanting to check out your store tomorrow and it says on google maps that you are temporarily closed. Are you open? Thank you! I am wanting to start flipping furniture and you have been very helpful and you motivate me to get out and do it every time I watch your videos!
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher awesome! Yes I will definitely be there this summer! I plan to join your group also to watch the flip off! Maybe by this summer I will have earned enough to buy some paint and candle from you!
When I found your channel I was so excited. I love your projects and you are so creative. I loved the fact that you were keeping these things from ending up in the landfills. And you wanted everyone to be able to afford nice pieces of furniture. I thought y'all were very generous and caring by helping other teachers pay their student loans off. Are y'all still doing that? Now it would be impossible for me to afford one of your pieces. The prices get higherand good intentions get lower. Now I watch until you get to the money part and I flip the channel. 👍🏼
we have definitely evolved but i wouldn't say that we have lower good intentions at all. we did give away $ to some teachers as we said we were going to! now we're exploring other things to do with our niche like creating a furniture flipping competition for people to watch & participate in and offering more in depth tutorials for people who are interested in learning more. our videos are all still very very informative for beginners and others who are truly looking to earn $$ from flipping furniture. the prices are higher not because we have bad intentions but because we are now running a full blown business and I have spent 4 years learning this craft so my work is worth more as I have improved my techniques. hope this helps explain things to you...one thing I will always stay strong on and can say with my whole heart is that no matter what I do, my intentions are ALWAYS good. thanks for watching!
The new hardware was very uninspiring, it looked similar to what you took off it. Also with all that black I expected the hardware to make a nice difference, it didn't.

I LOVE the drawer liner! Just perfect! Finished project? Gorgeous!!!
Yes! Thank you! isn't it just so goood!?!?!!
Great job, Lauren! Love the attention to details that you put into your work.
Gorgeous and I love the simple drawer hardware. The knobs are not competing with the black paint.
Nice piece! I love the black paint color you chose.
Absolutely superb finish to this piece. Well deserved if you achieve the asking price ❤
I love this dresser!
Lauren, it’s stunning! 😍
Love the all black with the antique knobs😍

Looks great! ❤ I used a very similar wallpaper from Amazon as a liner in a bathroom vanity I refinished. It really adds a touch of class!
thanks! I totally agree! I'm debating using a similar version on a wall !
Love the drawer liner!
Beautiful piece, Lauren. Classic and those knobs are perfect for it. Great job!
I have had black furniture for twenty years and I am in the process of painting it all. Your prices are nicely done.

Beautiful job. I love the hardware choice. Drawer liner looks great and finished. Try wallpaper on the sides of drawers for a pop of surprise, maybe on a vanity?
thanks! I would avoid wallpaper on the sides cause its so thick. maybe a decoupage tho!
Now I know what happened to my socks! Thanks Lauren! 😂
😂😂
Love the socks left behind in the back part of the drawers lol.
It looks great Lauren!
Thank you!! 😊
Very well done. Love DB Anchor black. It's timeless! Appreciate your talent.

Now I know where to look for all my missing socks
Beautiful piece

I pray you & your family are all ok. It’s Friday 4/26/24 & very damaging tornadoes just moved through the Omaha area. 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼
Beautiful ❤
Oh, you painted it! I love the wood look ❤ I love your videos!!
Thank you! 😊 the wood was good too but it was way too glossy in my opinion and definitely could use a little refresh (: thanks for watching!!
Beautiful 😊
Very nice

i tried that so many times and I could not get it to budge! I couldn't get my hands in there so this was my solution 🤣 thanks for watching!
Wow love it❤
Awesome job
You are such a professional, so good at these videos. The teaching profession lost such an asset. Yes, classic furniture is timeless, you won't get tired of it.
Thank you! 😊
Please post all of the brands of paint products you like
Love it!!!
thanks!!
We own a business around Christmas is always slow so makes sense
What kind of furniture cleaner are you using?
The end result looks great. How do you avoid overspray on the inside?
thanks! typically I don’t mind having a bit of over spray inside since its not seen
What furniture cleaner did you use? I was hoping you would share that info! Love your work.
sorry about that! its from Lilly Moon Paint!
I love love the piece. Timeless indeed. Hate the hardware. That tuxedo should've been fitted with a Black tie. Black on Black IS Timeless!
Love it 💕💕👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💕💕
Very smart and clever idea using foil instead of plastic. No need to add to the landfill
Anyone have suggestion on making stripes on furniture? Just use blue tape?
I really like the legs on this piece! Gorgeous transformation.
Thank you so much!
Nice❤
Thanks 🔥
Very handsome!

Okay, I can calm down now and watch the current video and learn some techniques!
Which one? it seems that there are 2 others at the timestamp!
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher it's even in the left corner of :02.
Lauren, you mentioned a cleaner that didn’t have to be removed, can you please tell me what it was? This piece turned out so pretty and timeless it is!
yeah its from Lilly Moon Paint 😊
I absolutely think the dresser is worth $900. Hopefully it will sell for that. 💯❣️

Hey there! yes, we are temporarily closed due to filming The Flip Off. We do plan to reopen in the summer tho! (: hope to see you then!
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher awesome! Yes I will definitely be there this summer! I plan to join your group also to watch the flip off! Maybe by this summer I will have earned enough to buy some paint and candle from you!
What brand is the cleaning product?
lilly moon paint!
I guess it’s not the dryer that eats all the socks😂😂
Beautiful and well priced, I personally would have charged more.
thanks! I'm working on charging more! gotta be more patient with the higher prices!
Where is the Fournir website? I can't find it
fournirfurnitureco.com/
You never said the name of the furniture cleaner
It’s too dark for me, but it’s well done!
thanks!
I prefer natural wood or white . It seems like everyone is painting furniture black gray or green .

Nice. I personally don't like black. And yes, black will go out. But your taste will change as you change. But you do good work.
The dresser looked beautiful to begin with..
❤
Eh I like the wood.. pretty tho
You don’t talk about your business. How it going , anything new etc.
you mean the shop? we're currently closed for filming of The Flip Off but plan to open again come June or July! (:
PLEASE look into the Dixie Belle scandal with other RUclipsrs.
If they sponsor you, they have a reputation for shortchanging their ambassadors
Oh my goodness WHY DIDN'T you FIRST dust off all that dust build up before you sprayed on with a liquid to "clean" the surface?! 🤷♀️
that helps me get it all off 😊
The new hardware was very uninspiring, it looked similar to what you took off it. Also with all that black I expected the hardware to make a nice difference, it didn't.
i wanted to keep it simple still to help this continue to be a timeless piece. thanks for watching anyway
I wouldn't buy a black piece of furniture. Just my taste.
It's beautiful!
