You save the beautifully-grained wood that shows through the lovely stain. Hurrah for you!
Love this! Neutrals are the way to go unless someone has requested a specific color. Great job!
Wow 😮five hours just on sanding - sometimes it’s hard to realize how much time is invested into flipping a project! BEAUTIFUL work Lauren! ❤😊
yep! can’t imagine how long it would take without my SurfPrep! you all only see 20-30 minutes of 8-10 hour projects 😀
The curves of this dresser, are so in right now. With the design color scheme you picked out, it really won't go out of style for a long while😊😊 great job as always
agreed! hope it sells soon!!
Good job!!!😊🎉❤
That dresser is a piece of art. I wish I lived close by, I would buy it as soon as she say, "it's done.
we do ship! reach out for a quote 😊
The dresser turned out so well. The shape reminds me of art decor style. Love your flipmas videos and your sweaters
Awesome as Always. It's amazing how many of those orangey colored dressers end up at thrift shops. Almost tempted to grab one now and try refinishing it.
I can’t believe how good you made that look🤗🤗🤗
that isthecolor of my kitchen cupboards. quality solid wood. great shape. They need to be changed to newer brighter. Love watching your magic. Sorry bad typing. Cat on my arm.
OKAY this a a piece we NEED in our home 🤩🤩🤩
I love the color it came out as I’m just really into the nice Browns. They seem to be homey and classic. I don’t think it’s a trend so much as the gray. It has beautiful lines and you did a great job.
Wow! What a beautiful piece.
WOW - IT TURNED OUT BEAUTIFUL LAUREN !!
The dresser looks beautiful now. The hardware is great I've never seen adjustable before. Great job!
Another stunning piece of art!
Merry Flipmas! 🎉
A perfect dresser for families with younger children....no sharp corners. It looks very stylish. Good tip about adjustable hardware.
Lauren, This dresser is stunning!!
What a cool piece!!
Absolutely LOVE this dresser! I need that sander, I love gadgets- I have a mouse and orbital sander but this one I really like😁
It's beautiful!
Loving the finished project ❤
The curves in this piece ❤❤❤
Those handles might look good with a white white ceruse and black or bronze on a file cabinet or other utilitarian piece. If you still have them.
GREAT JOB!
beautiful update!!
Awesome job!
My mother in law just loves that finish. To me it looks like the furniture I was issued in base housing.
It turned out so beautiful.
Turned out beautifully!
Excellent! Love all of it!
So much better. Love that hardware.
You did such an amazing job on this! It’s beautiful!!👏👏👏
I love how the furniture piece turned out! Another Great flip! ❤
Flipmas project #2 - beautifully morphed into this time period. Another nice flip!

Yay! I found a sofa table same color. I’ll be flipping it soon as my new cottage studio is completed!!!💕
yay!!
I think it would be interesting to see this become a desk.
Maybe another time right.
Loving the Christmas themes going on. Hope you are having a great holiday season👍🏻⛄️
This flip turned out so pretty ❤. The adjustable hardware is quite an invention - I’ve never heard of this before ! It compliments the dresser nicely ❤
Thank you so much! The hardware is so neat!
Awesomeness as always ❤️😀
thank you! 🤩
I love the hardware. This is a great tip.
Glad you like it!
Lovely
Love the finish. It looks so fresh. The hardware is a great solution. I’d like to see what other colors it comes in.
I love the hardware too! I think the other color is like a muted bronze color!
I love that adjustable hardware too. I've never seen it before, but what a clever and simple solution. They look great!
Absolutely Beautiful. Love watching your vlogs. Xx. K🇬🇧❤
thanks! glad you enjoyed!
I don't want to miss a flippen one❤.
Great job! Now the piece looks very art deco. Golden Oak is the WORST!! I know someone is going to love that piece in their home or office. Way to go Lauren!
I actually love the old hardware!
The piece turned out fabulous!!!....but it looks like it really needs a stand(legs)....we all know how fun it is to move a piece like this to vacuum under it, or to re-arrange it....
You're holiday hat is killing me🤣🤣🤣🤣
awesome
You did that!
I DID THAT! (:
Colour wheel says to use something with a soft mauve or purple tone with white and water it down
Very nice
thanks! one of my faves!!
Love that! I have an idea it will go fast. It's such a "NOW" style. To me furniture never really goes out of style, it just depends how you want to style your home. Wood needs updated yes, and hardware, but good quality hard wood furniture never really to me is out of style.........all depends on how you want to decorate or use it. This is awesome. Keep going on entertaining us........love love you both and what you are doing here with all of your ideas and offerings! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
😊😊
Would have loved to see this art deco style to go with the curves.
White and gold
Never knew how to get rid of the yellow tone without completely painting it a solid colour. Thank you
You’re welcome 😊 glad it helps you !
Wow, this piece is stunning! Price you listed is lower than I thought!
That hardware is interesting but I'd be annoyed at the wing nuts on the inside, especially if you're storing clothes in there. Looks great!
For very little cost you updated this pretty piece. It turned out spectacular! Excited to see more projects! B~}
Thank you! 😊
Your work is so stunning. I have a few antique pieces in my garage that I would love to tackle, but I’m just so scared of messing it up.
for me, it really needs some color but definitely better than it was before.
I’m sure you have covered this previously, but how can you tell a piece is solid wood and not just covered with a veneer finish. I am enjoying your videos.
Just beautiful what u did the color the hardware could u link where u can get the mister spray bottle thanks for sharing ur talents with all of us
That is perfect whatever technique and stain, you should be doing that type of work on all of your pieces like you should never put paints on any of them. I think always restoring the wood and trying to make it a little more modern is the best way to sell the piece. I think people are looking for unique and real. When you paint it, it takes away from the earthin and the richness of the piece wood
love your stuff! why not use a finish remover on this? Something like QCS? is it just too messy and you like sanding better?
You can bleach red oak with solution hydrogen peroxide 30% and lye. It makes top layer of the red oak just like white oak. I did with several of my pieces. That is instead of painting it. The color of the wood will be much more natural.
❤❤❤
I have a circa 1980 oak coffee table. I bought it unfinished, and stained and oiled it myself. I'm so proud of it and I love it still. BUT every time you do a paint wash on an old oak piece, I get a little closer to refinishing my coffee table. The problem is I'm afraid I'll get started than abandon the project if it gives me any problems.
you got this! it will be worth it!!
Well done! 🥳 I just got my surf prep this week! Does your code work when I order more abrasives? Or just on the sander itself?
woohoo! it works on everything minus the POV vacuum dust extractor! 😊
My taste, I would have kept handles and richened the wood darker. That just me
Interesting update. i would have kept the original hardware, sand the wooden part a little and try to glue/wrap it in a thin leather.
❤
Keep the hardware in case the new owner would like to have them. That could add value to the fueniture.
Do you think your last two flips would look good with legs/feet ?
definitely!
I'd get a 1foot 18" bolt cutters. It will fit in drawers and cost $20?? And pop off ends of screws easily.
Do you recommend it or not. Using white wash on kitchen or bathroom cabinets?
for sure! I think its a good look! 😊
Love it but couldn't see the tool, needs to be closer to camera.
Hi guys! Random question: what was the name of the standing desk company that sponsored you a while back? I’m in the market for one. Thanks! The dresser is beautiful, as always❤

I thought your customer said "peony class" 😂 oops
You only need three pieces on top for staging your furniture!
Etsy would have been a better place to shop for the handles. Its oak. But great wash down, sand, and video.
I love the handles I found! I try etsy for some too! takes a bit more planning ahead 😂😆
A Festool sander would cut your sanding time in half.
I love my surfprep 🤩
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher for me time is money
Forgive me Lauren (I love your channel) but, you are "cooling it down" rather than "warming it up" when dealing with golden oak. (Just a comment from a retired art teacher.) The "adjustable hardware" was fascinating.
thanks!
Not one of my fav colours you have done tbh but well done as always ❤
all good! to each their own! thanks for watching!!
After doing this for years now, you should know that dresser goes for $200-$300 to the bottom-feeding crowd on Facebook. $600 is what retail customers pay for the new stuff at Ashley's. Sanded-down 1980s used goes for $250 on Facebook and they try and get you to take $200.
Is this all that's left? Refinishing dressers every two days? But now you have a full retail store to pay for and insurance, utilities and employees? Wait until you don't sell a thing in all of January. I give it max a year and you're tired of being broke.
We love having you around. I think we have some future t-shirts in the works...
"Proving eddies theories wrong since 2020"
We'll see you in a year bud (;
Jeezo Eddie your full of the Christmas spirit eh 😂 I think this is stunning I'm in the UK or I so would own some of the beautiful pieces you've worked your magic on such an inspiration. You should be really proud of yourself and how far you've came lots people out there doing this yet youve really caught the eye of so many. Good luck for the future bigger & better to come I reckon 🎉🎉
You didn't paint it, yay🎉
Very nice result. Orangy color doesn't look good on furniture or candidates.
