Because the man who has never been primary caregiver, has done next to zero child rearing duties, just got fired & discharged by the military, admittedly physically abused their mother even in front of the kids, has been accused of hate crimes, has repeatedly openly threatened their mother, refuses to see or talk to kids repeatedly without a valid reason, has openly & repeatedly tried to interfere with mother’s parental rights, and who has openly attempted to abuse law enforcement resources will certainly be considered more fit than a mother who has been primary caregiver the kids entire lives, has no criminal record at all, no history of violence, no substance abuse, has a strong support network, and who has been shown to consistently exhaust all possible efforts to maintain a relationship between the kids & their father

Hope she also has the report from the Counsellor they saw & from the first who heard him over the phone.
