- This is my take on the fantastic battle theme from the anime movie Sword of the Stranger "Ihojin No Yaiba" by Naoki Sato. This inspiring track combined with the awesome fighting scene always raises my spirits.
As usual it started out as a piano cover and just happened to become a little more... I hope you enjoy the video editing.
#SwordOfTheStranger #Soundtrack #PianoCover
Honestly to this day I think this is the best sword fight put to film
Truly the best
Truly a ost for all samurai movies for the ages, magnificent
Amazing cover of one of the best soundtracks of all time! I literally haven’t been able to get this out of my head for a few years now.
This is Magically Spiritual for me. Thank you
I remember watching this movie at Anime Expo in LA in 2010, it was amazing then, and your piano cover was amazing as well :)
Thank you! That must have been quite an experience, watching it in LA! 👍🏻
@@HausbarMusic was awesome, walked in having no idea what the movie was about, walked out wanting to watch more!!! Lol
@@HausbarMusic cover was amazing tho!!!
Haha, I can imagine that. I‘m not that big of an anime fan myself (except for the many great soundtracks) but Sword of the Stranger and Samurai Champloo are two of my absolute favourites. Had the SotS Soundtrack in my ears for an eternity so I had to cover it, somehow.
Always make me cry everytime I heard.........
Wow just wow, chills every time, magnificent to a tee
Awesome 👏🏻
Awesome cover, choir and video edit. I loved that original song but this is masterpiece.
That‘s very nice of you, thanks!
Awesome work
Beautiful ❤
Magnificent !!!
Amazing!
Fetter Aufwand! Respekt!
Danke dir! Hat schon eins, zwei Tässchen Kaffee gedauert... ☕️
Ist schön zu wissen, dass es zur Kenntnis genommen wird. 😉
Grüße!
This is just so emotional and awesome! Can I ask for the piano sheet please? Really appreciate it
Thanks!

@@HausbarMusic Thank you so much!
Meus parabéns
This was an awesome cover! Can you cover the soundtrack to Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon in a similar style?
Thank you very much, Andrew!
I’m sorry, as much as I would like to do you a favour, I‘m unfamiliar with this movie (and therefore the soundtrack, of course). I might watch it at some time, though.
Cheers!
@@HausbarMusic Well, when you do, I hope you reconsider and make an equally awesome cover for that movie's theme.
Can you please provide the midi file
Hey Yash!
Well, I would have to dig up the old project somewhere in my backups to render some midi out. But I'm not even quite sure what you're looking for.
A midi file with the whole thing in there? Just the piano track? The piano I usually play directly as line level audio out of my stage piano into the DAW, so I would have to check, if I recorded some midi along to that.
So tell me what you're after (midi for synthesia?).
Cheers!
@@HausbarMusic I just want the midi file of this song
@@brownsonsbeat Yeah, but there are dozens of tracks in that project. For the full thing I would have to hand you 114 midi files. Writing them in one file would just make a big mess out of things, because your software wouldn't know what is what. Like what is piano, what is brass, what kind of brass, sustained, staccato and so on.
I just exported the closest thing to the full piano track for you. Hope that's fine. It's not perfectly quantized, because I made everything fit to the original piano playing, mind you.

@@HausbarMusic I really appreciate this thank you very much
What do you people think about the sound effects? Do you like them or would you prefer just the clean music track? Maybe even piano only?
Tell me what you think, cheers!
Edit: I uploaded a solo piano version of this track. You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/xizIF3v1hHY/видео.html
After listening to both, for several times, I came to the conclusion that both are great covers.
But ... I probably prefer this one, over the piano-only cover. Especially as cover of the theme as used in the anime, not only does it trigger the emotions I felt, watching the anime, it also works as a great accentuation of specific sections.
So much, that every time the sound-effects played, I felt a chill going down my spine.
@@Deckaio Hey there! I'm glad you like this version. Thanks a lot for your thoughts on this matter. Comments like these are really helpful for future decisions about what direction to go with this channel.
Cheers!
@@HausbarMusic Sure, let's hope I'm not the only one thinking this :D Anyway, looking forward to your next cover!
Like them it gives it more atmosphere when listening to it ...oh I have to watch this again .the uke sound bite from the scene where he breaks the seal on the sword to save kotaro excellent insert
so underrated yet so damn beautiful.
Amazing bro, love the soundeffects or sounds from the anime mixed in with your beautiful playing.
Hayaku kire okubyou mono !
رائع جميل جدا في قمة الروعة والجمال ❤️💯💞🌹👌✌️
what about if we let this anime mmorpg gameplay is would be amazing.....?
Did you make a cover of the background as well with the Taiko drums and strings? It's so epic if you did!!!
Hey there! Sry but I‘m not sure I understand what exactly you refer to. What do you mean with cover of the background? The video material or some music layers of the drums? I didn’t record a version in which I only play the taikos or the strings, that wouldn’t make a lot of sense. But somehow I don’t thinks that’s what you meant.
@@HausbarMusic So you used an official cover and only played the piano?
Ah, now I see our misunderstanding. No everything you hear I played myself. You can see parts of it on the monitors in my video. All of them are virtual instruments, some parts are solo instruments like Violins, Celli, Trombones, Horns usw. Others are full orchestra sections. So of course, I can render out every possible combination of instruments and vocals, I played. What I meant is, I didn‘t make a separate video to every possible combination of voice lines. So that‘s where I‘m a bit uncertain what exactly you were looking for... just taiko and strings without piano and vocals?
Possibly, I will make a little and funny behind the scenes, so it‘s easier to understand how much work such a video can be.
@@HausbarMusic You did an excellent job on covering this beautiful piece of music! Thanks for answering my question too! :D
Sword of the stranger full movie
Beautiful melody, great work !
I was actually planning on making an orchestral cover on this. but damnn yours is so good together with the editing 👌👌 everything about this video is deserves so much recognition
Hey Dannn! Happy you like my cover!
By all means, make your soundtrack cover! There is always room for more. And seeing your great content, I'm pretty sure it would be awesome and quite different. I like your guitar playing very much!👍👍 How the hell do you guys make so much good stuff that fast??? 😂
@@HausbarMusic haven't made for a while now, my laptop got busted last 2 weeks hahah, im still noob at mixing xD .. uhm im actually waiting the premeire whenever there's new raw episodes xD
thanks for the compliments btw, will be tuning in on your channel from now on. you definitely deserves more audience hopefully in the near future you'll have it :)
Oh man, that sucks. Hopefully you‘ll get it fixed soon. I wouldn‘t want to know how mad I‘d be if someone messed with my Desktop...
Don‘t put yourself under too much pressure regarding mixing and mastering. Just stick with some basics that you can read up everywhere and learn the rest as you go. At least that‘s how I roll. Up to now, I was never really happy with my results but everytime I learn something new and try to make something better that I messed up in the last video.
Cheers!
@@HausbarMusic i'll keep that in mind thankk you :D
رائع وممتاز byuty fol👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️
You wouldn't still happen to have the midi file for the piano section would you?

@@kaikyoin7018 You're welcome!
Hey I made a cover of this ost but I can't arrange it myself. So, I look up into your piano playing. So, thanks
By the way your cover is so cool I head banging into it
Glad that it helped you to figure it out.
That's nice work you did there with your cover, I like it! 👍

Fucking amazing mate... Fucking amazing...

Thanks a lot!
It‘s a beautiful movie, indeed! 🏔 ⚔️ ❄️
Cheers! ☕️
@@HausbarMusic agree it is beautiful anime and the final fight is epic.I have a question, would you please record this track ,bleach ost here to stay , you are doing a great job greetings to you 🔈🎧👌
@@Mysoul1350 Hey there!
While I had little time, some technical issues and other projects besides YT the past months, there is a long list of game and movie soundtracks I want to cover.
That being said, I listened to the mentioned OST and it's quite beautiful! 🎹👍
The thing is, I'm not familiar with this anime. And putting a lot of effort into a video (the camera stuff and video editing is lots of time consuming work) that's not about something you really wanted to do in the first place... it's a drag. 😅
Maybe a little confession at this point: I'm not all to big into this original japanese anime action style movies/series (wow, I know, serious lack of terminology here 😂) .I like some animes, like Studio Ghibli stuff, Samurai Champloo, Sword of the Stranger, Arcane (there will defintely be a cover of some tracks from this masterpiece, I liked it a lot!). So, I guess, in the eyes of people who are really into japan anime movies, that's more vanilla stuff.
I really appreciate your request though, I liked the piece of music very much. So I put it on my list of things to do, I just can't promise you that I will realize it any time soon. There is so much great stuff on that list! 😉
I hope it's not too big of a disappointment. 😔
Cheers, anyway! ☕
