@@rhymestyle I bought some anime-style Toon cards and they include the God cards, Holactie, the Sacred Beasts, Armatyle, Exodia Incarnate, Relinquished, and Yubel, and they look pretty dope.

That Slifer trap card seems insane. I think Slifer could be splashable in a lot of decks now with it.
no it really isn't, if you read the card you can only special summon it in the gy, unlike obelisk which can be hand or gy, sure its effects cant be negated but theres also huge draw backs to the card such as making your opponent draw until they have 6 as well, the fact its a trap card and not a spell so you cant use it on the first turn and to top it off slifers own effect where if its special summon it goes to the graveyard at the end of the turn (seriously why couldnt they have made it so that it is considered a proper summon this is so trash). The other cards all have glaring draw backs as well. Its overall disapointing but i suppose support is support.

Really happy you guys did this, and my thing is they should get a reprint instead of coming out with all these trap and spells cards, make them actually gods not broken but at least playable. But I’m happy their getting at least more support

You're right, they should be getting erratas and potentially more monster support, maybe even an archetype designed to support the gods. But they are getting some support, and the effects are really nice for Obelisk and Slifer, and I guess the Ra support is ok.
But I don't understand why Konami has to always screw over one of the gods. The Obelisk and Slifer support both have negation protection, while the Ra one doesn't even have a way to get the negation prevention. I understand if it had the protection right off the bat, there may be some problems, especially since it has a flood gate effect. But it should've still had a way to get a negation protection for the Immortal Phoenix summon at least. Something like if Ra was normal summoned when this effect was activated, then the Immortal Phoenix summon could not be negated. Pretty simple, has a caveat, and the special summoning lock and the overall card can still be negated.
@@densuomega what's stupid is that i remember originally when the Gods were legit playable, they couldnt be Targeted. by anything. if it designated a target, and you tried to play it on one of the Gods, it didnt work.
So stuff like Raigeki, Mirror Force, Dark Hole, Torrential, AoE stuff like that worked, but anything like Sakuretsu, Draining Shield, Raigeki Break, Tribute to the Doomed, it didnt work.
And you could only Special Summon them from the grave if you summoned them normally, and they were sent back at the end of the turn.
they were powerful, but not entirely broken, but were protected against target effects.
Why did that change?

That obelisk trap making the card get one of it's anime effects of inflicting 4k damage with 2 tributes is so cool to me. I love the new God support, and Slifer will probably become a good engine you can use on any deck now.

@@Marco_mm yeah in actual due and bo3, You will go second.when u go second Enemy empty their hand then when u Active this card. U basically give Enemy fresh card.

@@yamiryujin4982 Nah, most meta decks generate resource like crazy. A lot of decks can set a full board and still have 4-5 cards in hand by the end of the turn

What I'm wondering is why the god cards have worse protection cards than Blue-Eyes(or rather, generic Dragons) and Dark Magician. When the _whole_ point of them being so dangerous in the anime/manga was that they were super hard to remove from the field(which then makes the requirement of 3 tributes make sense).
Can we have a card that provides protection from the grave, a la Return of the Dragon Lords? Or maybe even a handtrap that gives one turn protection? Requiring a field spell or a set quick-play/trap makes the protection itself too vulnerable to removal.

Those new God card spells and traps look insane hope they keep coming out with more to make the gods you know God's lol. Also if it's in the game add 3 reckless greeds into the deck and activate them all at the same time you'll get to draw 6 cards (2 per each reckless greed actived) and only have to skip two draw phases

Creature Swap is actually good in the current meta because it doesn't target or effect monsters. You can steal basically any monster and you can swap something that triggers in your GY or a 0 ATK Token.
I use it in most of my Graydle decks, it lets you permanently take anything that's immune to them and Graydle Slime Jr. is perfect for Creature Swap. Revives one Graydle and summons one from the hand, has 0 ATK, and it gives you another Graydle when you destroy it in battle.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Obelisk the Tormentor. When I was a kid he was the first god card I unpacked and it was like an ultra-rare holographic back then. Seeing these new support cards makes me excited to start buying packs again. KONAMI PLEASE GIVE THESE TO THE VIRTUAL GAMES

Literally one 1 really powerful from Geeko is Slifer, then Ra’s searching card is next. Obelisk trap has serious force behind how it’s effect takes place as it doesn’t have heavy restrictions by needing effect of god cards effect used in conjunction with.
That was very funny watching this duel 7 months later with my insane powerful god deck at my desk

Not the same thing at all. We agreed only on one boss monster (our gods) and no offensive/defensive spells traps. Returning a card into your hand is not the same thing at all here

Slifer can have good attack but that control effect with monster summoning is pretty powerful
