    i had the opportunity to rent an EV for a recent trip from Miami to Disney, I checked charging stations in the area where we planned to stay and there was almost zero availability, there was one place with only 2 outlets. Too many tourists there and only one station? I decided to rent an ICE car.

      Hey Pedro! I had no idea you could rent an EV in Miami! What company did you try to rent from? And yes, finding charging stations is still difficult in some areas. It's getting better, but I'm not sure I'd risk it for a vacation. The last thing you want to do is lose hours of valuable vacation time charging your car.

    Bummed (but not surprised) about the lack of interior space. I'm 6'5", with a tall wife and really tall kids, so that's priority #1 for us.

      I am 6'2" and fit comfortably, but at 6'5" I think you would need a perfectly proportioned body to be comfortable. We have 2 Leaf Plis models.

      We put a deposit on this generation Leaf just before they came out. I cancelled the purchase after test driving it as the driving position was awful and the rear seats were unusable (our teenager has long legs). The rear seats and floor are raised quite high so there's no leg room back there for anyone of any reasonable height. Big disappointment.

      @@yurkshirelad it's funny, our kids prefer the back seat of the Leaf to the Teslas they have tried.

      I can relate. When you are tall there are many vehicles that are a no go right from the beginning.

    I work at Enterprise and we have one for the car we use to pick up customers In it has terrible range I'm not saying that cause I have a Tesla but driving around town from point a to point b the range isn't good especially comes winter it's going to be very interesting. But it drives pretty nice.

    Interesting but in my eyes very boring vehicle.

    Can you get a Hyundai Ioniq EV to rent? It’ll be a good comparison to the Leaf. And have you think of replacing your daily driver to an EV?
    Edit: Nvm, I seen your response that you’re getting a Chevy Bolt. Congratulations!

    Does any rental company in Chicago rent Leafs?

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars  3 года назад +3

      Not that I'm aware of. I've seen a few on Turo, but there mostly on the Northside and a bit pricey. I got this one from Carmax via their 24 hour test drive program. To be clear, I was actually thinking of buying this car. But I ended up getting a Chevy Bolt instead.
