- We’ve dealt another legal blow to Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ expansion.
The High Court will now hear two additional grounds challenging the lawfulness of the Mayor’s cash grab.
I’m in Cudham, one of the rural villages where Labour wants to impose ULEZ, to explain what this means.
Well done. Thankyou for standing up to this total scam.
All councils need to stand together
Let's get rid of khan
Yes.
Too late voter fraud is rife and no one wants to talk about our failed parliament.
Khan won't leave unless he loses votes.
Londoners voted him in as mayor, now they can vote him out 😡
@@puffingtonsmythe8690 english Londoners did not vote him in
Well done to those councils, it’s a shame Havering and a few of the others didn’t have the balls to stand up for their constituents
Yep I'm in Havering also. They refuse to answer complaints or enquiries about ULEZ. Well actually they just ignore you. I followed up mine 7 times and then e-mailed to say I was can cancelling my Council Tax Direct Debit, which I have now done. Cut City Hall's cash supply off "a la Trudeau" is what I say. Maybe they can open a GoFundMe campaign to get some money in 😂
It's a shame the constituents of Havering and the other council wards are too lazy to make their councils represent them properly
...up until the judge is replaced and/or bought off!!!
Thankyou Gareth buckets of respect from me sir 😎👌
If you really want to uphold your duty of care to your area….stand up and stop the WHO treaty!
Excellent, this will ultimately effect the whole of the U.K. You are in the front line of the battle against the Climate cash grab and ultimately our freedoms. Thank you to all those involved. 👏👏👏👏
Thank you Gareth for everything you are doing to stop people from being fleeced by an absolute arrogant , disrespectful, selfish, despicable man.
You're absolutely amazing for trying to stop this ULEZ nonsense.
Why is one man, allowed to do this and get away with it.
Because he's brown?
@@johnholmes5674 No because Sadiq Khan's mayor election was vote correlated

Keep us updated sir, you are doing a great service to the entire London

A service to the UK
Most of London overwhelmingly voted for this policy. Most Londoners don't own a car.
I am in Herefordshire and I got busted 80 pounds for visiting my son over Christmas.
I am just so pissed off.
I thought it was only the congestion zone in the middle of London.
Reminds me of the just 2 weeks to flatten the curve.
Do not submit
Well done Bromley and all the other councils fighting Khan's tax.
Great stuff I wish you all the best and respect for standing up to this madness
Thank you for your work.
Well done. 🤞. You have my support from Wales 🏴
Thank you for all your efforts.
We have it in Bristol and it’s not right paying £ 9 a day doesn’t clean the air it cleans out your pockets
Petition
The government wants to make it difficult for people to drive cars in the UK, all this green nonsense, clean air zones etc.
Well done Gareth
Win or lose, we will not forget who was fighting out off our corner
My personal trillion thanks to you
Thank you for speaking out. I hope you can persuade more of your colleagues to speak up for their Constituents and for their Country.
Follow the money!
Kick out the Khant😂
ULEZ will be introduced in Glasgow in June, even though current air pollution is very low and recorded at 28 (GOOD) AQI. Its a money making machine for snp.
Time for Glaswegians to take action now.
It’s not about money - it’s about stopping people using their cars, that’s what all the cycle lanes are for, 15 minute neighbourhoods , clean air zones etc.
You can’t pay a charge in Glasgow, it’s an outright ban. They want cars out cities.
Exactly.
The who treaty needs immediate attention aswell
Not only that, but the digital id which is the precursor to implementing CBDC’s..
Well done. And thank you. We need to win this and continue to unravel this
Please fight for us 🙏
It’s about Khan working for the WEF and not for the people of London.
correct .
@@shanegilbert3538 he is chairman of the C40 cities network-if he fails with this he will have no credibility, that's the issue!!
Please keep up the good work. I’m down the road in Biggin hill, and there is many retirees here for whom ULEZ will make life a misery
This is a victory for the whole country!
It really isn't.. it is a Feint to distract from the bigger abuses incoming
@@Shandybrother they are already talking about taxing EVs - which are not sustainable for a number of reasons.
@Spanchic Best Please name one reason why electric cars are unsustainable in the future.
@@Shandybrother Of course, and there is no reason why EVs shouldn't be taxed fairly. The government already receives higher revenue as EVs are generally more expensive and pay more VAT in the first instance than a comparable ICE.
VED rates are based on CO2 emissions which discriminates low annual mileage drivers. Diesel cars produce less CO2 than petrol cars but in reality contribute far more to air pollution. Research shows that could be as much as 5 times as much, and 20 times as much as an EV.
ULEZ is just one of numerous measures to mitigate the effects of air pollution on people’s health, as it is known that many thousands die every year from air pollution in the UK. The scheme first announced by Boris Johnson when he was London mayor and has had government support since its introduction in 2019.
@@FullFact548 they are too heavy for our bridges, multi-storey car parks, etc.,:
the batteries require several ‘rare earth minerals’ that are open-cast mined (by children) and are devastating the environment;
even now, with low uptake on EVs there are nowhere near enough charging points;
how is the electricity required to charge them going to be generated?
Thoughts?
All about control
Nothing to do with control, TFL is bankrupt and motorists of older vehicles are an easy target.
More mPs need to stand up as you have here. Its great to see someone actually standing against this. We also need someone to stand against the ridiculous rules that are coming in not just this but the 15 min cties DM forced on us bug mush in our food etc, stupid rules for heating.
thank you for your public service on this matter.
Khan needs to be looked into , both financially and mentally . There is something wrong with him/her/ they/ them/it etc etc 🙂
There is solid evidence that Sadiq Khan is involved in bribery......and have received numerous untraceable gifts. This tells you all

( initial post )
I think you pretty much covered all bases here!😂
I sincerely hope that when these cases are heard in court that Khan gets a severe legal kicking. Working people cannot afford his scheme.
I hope he is ordered tp pay all costs and to have to pay compensation to all those penalised and for the costs of the putting the scheme into force .
@@grahambull5802 make him bankrupt and make him beg in the street
If you can't afford a ULEZ compliant car at less than a £1k then maybe you shouldn't be driving!?
@@FullFact548
What if I have a very reliable & well maintained vehicle that breezes through emissions tests, does that deserve to get crushed ?
Do you know what sort of vehicle you’ll get for £1k?
An unreliable, vastly more polluting, money-pit s h I t - box, that’s what!
Stop being naive & simplistic!
@Mark Scott Naive? Not only have I bought and sold more than 30 cars in my 33 years of driving, but I have also worked in the trade. My nephew is a car dealer for 30 years also, so I have a great deal of experience and knowledge from being around the motor trade for 3 decades.
I recently counted 85 ULEZ compliant vehicles for sale on Autotrader, every one had a MOT, and none were Cat S,N,D, or C. Some even had new MOTs and below average mileage, and all were £900 or less.
Passing an MOT emissions test is meaningless as the test is dependent on the age and type of vehicle. Whereas a car of Euro 4 standard would need lower emissions than a Euro 3. That is why ULEZ standards, which are set by the government, not Sadiq Khan, require Euro 4 for petrol vehicles and Euro 6 for diesels. The last car I owned I bought in 2017 was a 2005 210hp Saab 9-3 that cost me £1,300. Not only was it ULEZ compliant, but it was also extremely reliable and a pleasure to drive.
Excellent sir!
Stand strong and good luck 💪
We need ULEZ to become an election headache for Sadiq Khan as he will have to contest for Mayor Election for his ULEZ mandate.
how many days did it take to count the ballots in the last Mayor election????

Labour has lost the plot
No they havent, they've all been bought by the WEF, as uk column news points out
its no longer about Left vs Right, its now about Up vs Down.
And as George Carlin said "its a big club (the up) and you aint in it"
They never had the plot in the first place.
Conservatives are pumping tax payers money into the 15 minute city corp.
Which Sadiq Khan is now President of.
It is all smoke and mirrors.
I'll dig out the link if you want to see the facts.
tories aint much better tbh
And they will soon be loosing their seats
This is good but what we can't allow is the push for pay per mile in its place
We will almost certainly end up with pay-per-mile. The Exchequer has sucked too deep and too long on the fat teets of VAT + fuel duty on petrol/deisel and must be looking at solar charged private vehicles with absolute horror; it's like the entire fleet switching to red diesel. We need to ensure it's not used as an excuse to bring in a regressive tax where it's a flat rate for everything from a tiny city car to a massive 3-tonne SUV.
I already pay per mile through the extortionate cost of fuel!
We already pay per mile. At the pumps.
I'm in my sixties and had the joy of learning to drive cars tractors etc at a young age learning to drive teaches you lots of things for example: coordination tolerance geography mechanics.I feel for young people who will grow up never being able to afford to drive a car. It is an education and a freedom as children grow up they need a car to transport their children and their elderly parents about, The people who try to impose these restrictions dont live in the same world as we do,Stand up! Thank you Gareth from a Bromley resident.
The stark reality of all that is happening in this mad world is that there is more of us than there are of them and us are waking up . The snowball is rolling and it will not be stopped.
Well I do hope that is true and that they wake up real soon because others will have planned for any backlash. I know that already there are foreign troops billeted in Scotland and that the Eu are building an Eu “defence force.” Tell me why does a trade union need a crack military defence force ? They can call it what they want, it is still an Eu army which they denied they had or ever would have.
Well done Gareth and thank you for all you've done so far. It's very reassuring to see an MP fighting for what's legal, right and fair for everyone in the boroughs. Keep up the pressure and if possible, get the whole government on side too! 😊
I live in Tonbridge and was very annoyed that I got a letter from TFL about my car and not being ULEZ friendly. 1 . how can they get my information from DVLA , does this not go against my privacy. 2. I don’t live in the ULEZ area or plan to go into it. 3. What a waste of tax payers money sending this out when it looks like it won’t happen. 4. How much does these letters efficiently damages the climate? ( using paper, machine to sort, delivering, fumes in the air) where air pollution is at its highest is the Railway stations and tubes that’s what will kill people , sorry can’t get money to pay off debts there.
Ditto in my Hereford
You are AMAZING sir..
I salute you 👏 🙌 ❤
Kahn needs making an example of for anyone else who wants to extort money from hard working people. Hes nothing but a con man
Its not about emissions or quality of air, its about Control and money nothing more.
How is he allowed to do this to non London Burroughs
Staggeringly Cudham is within the M25. It looks beautiful i hope its residents as all others, are rescued from Khan's travesty.
It is, thats why he's doing it.
Well done , from up north😁
no mayor should have been these kinds of powers in the first place!! stop this "tax " on the motorist, and when the court finds that this whole charade was "unlawful," remove the ulez from inner london too, and "jail" this pathetic tyrant for all of the "stress, and pain that he,s caused the honest workers of London, and make London" the great capital as ,it was once again!! great british people will not " bow down" to these people!!
Exactly - mayors should just stick to opening new schools or hosting garden fetes etc..
It is all about taking the cars off us working class, there is nothing wrong with our air quality.
Thank you sir keep up the good work
I still don’t understand how the government can’t just override this ridiculous scheme?! How can they sit back and watch thousands of working families and small businesses be targeted this way?!
Because it makes the Labour Party look bad
Just sit back and light the fuse
They can override this scheme they have legal powers to stop such if it adversely effects out of London districts, but the initial money came to Boris via the World Economic Forum
Well done, feller.
It want scrapping completely
Well done from Australia 🇦🇺
Good on you for standing together. We are in shambles here in London with all these cash grabbing opportunities being made by sadik khan and his goons .
There are quite a few people I’ve spoken to who can’t afford or aren’t interested in getting a new car. But the reaction seems to be more severe. Up and leave entirely. Some talking about leaving the country. I don’t know if any would follow through. However imagine if there was an exodus of home owning, tax paying, community minded, conscientious citizens. You need these people.
I am absolutely ready to slum it in Corfu for the rest of my life. After covid I've utterly no faith in this country anymore
These zones are sprouting all across Europe so you would have to go far.
Well done..we must all fright about against these restrictions !
It's great news. But Starmer has already said he's interested in similar schemes country wide. If Labour get in every city town and village will have to fight this!
very reassuring to hear this, thanks for all the work you do in our favour :)

@@scaryfakevirus Just a puppet? puppet to the most powerful man and his WEF organisation in the world, if you doubt that? ask the families of the 7 African leaders that said no to his mandates last year, you can visit their graves
The CONsevative government are fully supportive of Khan's ULEZ money grab. They do not have the honesty to admit this but it is another notch on their quest of full global elite control over their citizens in line with their masters at the WEF. Ceding health response control to the WHO is another.
Think you'll find it's an unelected little group of the richest people in the world, called the WEF. Sunak is a member, as are most of the Western World leaders.
The problem is the wef /un esg scores etc all part of the nwo power grab .

Thank you for all you have done bringing this out into the wider community.
Brilliant 👍🙏🏻 Together we can STOP the Khanage ❤
Congratulations. Wish I had a local authority like this. Hugely appreciative. All the best to you.
It is not, and never was, about pollution. Right form the original congestion charge, it was always about raising money. The problem is that Khan belongs to some kind of cabal of city mayors who appear to be controlled from Davos and their goal is to clamp down on the freedoms of the ordinary people who they despise. The best way would be for everyone to refuse to pay.
Bill you are so right
Correct. Unfortunately there are still way too many brainwashed idiots out there who think the ULEZ expansion is a good thing!! My husband goes on the Finchley next door forum and there they are, saying how great it is....
Well I never knew anybody was standing up to this scam. Good on you matey for doing this 👏
Sadiq Khan seems to want to impose his view, by hook or by crook, upon the people whom he hold captive by virtue of his position.
Khan is also the Chairperson on C-40 Cities. If you think ULEZ is bad then what they are proposing to impose through C-40 Cities is even worse.

Well done to the 4 councils. I'm sure the whole of Britain is rooting for you.
"A Dishonest cash grab" That's exactly what it is.
What I fail to understand is how is a glorified councillor is able to force the government of the country to take him to court. Surely any government can have a senior minister like the Home Secretary or prime minister just tell them that they can’t pass those local laws and to stand down. So the question now is Who really does run this country? Perhaps it is now time for the post of Mayor of London to be a symbolic post only; cutting ribbons on fetes and WRVS cake competitions.
Brilliant news keep fighting for freedom
Keep up the good work and also go further to have him removed.
I thought he was supposed to be half dead with chest pain... If he croaks do his plans survive...?! 😮
I'm in Bexley Borough , it's a shame David Evennette our MP isn't as vocal as yourself, Well done Gareth lets hope common sense prevails.
Don’t count your chickens lads, but keep up the good work 👍
There is more skullduggery afoot ! I bought a second hand car recently and the Road Tax should be £160 a year. Because the car when new cost over £40K I have to pay the £160 plus a further £355 on top off the £160 per year till the car is six years old. I was not aware of the extra VED when I bought the car. This to me is a stealth Tax and in my opinion should have been made public.
I’m a plumber from the Thurrock area so I have no say in what happens within outer London because I’m just outside, but why should someone that I can’t vote in or out affect me, I’m not the only plumber in the world but let’s be honest if I get called for a leak in Dagenham I will be helping someone in outer London so why am I being taxed for helping someone, he claims it’s not a tax yet can I claim it on my tax rebait at the end of the year?
