Not really a ghost fan but I am a baseball fan. I noticed he made a point not to step on the foul line. For those that don't know.. it's a baseball superstition to not step on it. Respect for that.
So I go to baseball games strictly for the food, if I don't get cheesy fries it wasn't a real baseball game. I didn't know not stepping on the foul line was a thing, and now I have questions. Is it just a before the game thing? Can they step on it during the game? That if it happens on accident? To add, I've only ever been to Miller Park (I think it's American Family Stadium now, I haven't been since before the plague), I normally watch the racing sausages, stare at Bernie's dug out to see him go down the slide, and look out the open roof and try to watch for rain to catch it closing. Also shoveling cheese fries in my stupid mouth.
@@Musical_Pigeon you’re not supposed to step on the line at all at any point. Most players intentionally step over it but theres others that just think it’s silly and don’t even think about it and just step wherever they want

He's huge on being kind to the kids and specifies on his ticket sales which concerts will be kid-friendly and which will not be. People don't get the over-arching theme and call him satanic, but that's not it. It pokes fun of the idea of a satan running an evil ministry as much as it does of the church running and evil ministry and which has done more verifiable harm to society. He's said his heart wants to believe in an afterlife of some sort, but his brain says no. He had a fan die at a A concert a year or two ago. They stopped it halfway through Ghost's set, when the sudden heart attack or whatever happened. Anyone that wanted a refund got one. Anyone that wanted to come to a do-over show could choose that instead. He had the fan's family come and do a VIP thing and spoke with the deceased man's mother for almost an hour explaining the nuances of the idea of Ghost and that they did not want nor encourage evil and that the music specifically can be interpreted several different ways. What the music says to you says more about you than the music. She was apparently enamoured with his philosophy and has become a fan herself at 65+years of age. All money from the do-over concert went to the deceased's family, as well as all merch sold at that show. By all money...that means EVERYTHING. The man had a child, btw. Most charity shows say all proceeds which means anything after all the bills and such are paid, including the performer, unless the performer is performing for free, but crew and travel expenses are usually paid for by the charity concert. Ghost ate all the costs and gave ALL money taken in to this man's family without being asked to. Death of someone too soon is a close and painful subject for the man who plays Papa. And people get mad that the nameless ghouls who perform live get changed or quit or whatever. There's been a BUNCH of them and not many people knew. Also, the man playing papa is actually Tobias Forge. He writes all the words and composes the music for all of Ghost's records. There are two producers who help (by their own words) "a teeny tiny bit and Tobias insists on giving us writing credits". He does a LOT of cover songs and keeps the lyrics the same except for one song, in which he called the man who wrote it and asked if he could change two words so it would better suit the papa bit, the lead singer from iron maden mind you, and he said yes, absolutely and he wanted to be the first to hear the cover and by his own accounts later, he loved Ghost's version more than his own. The dude even covered a song by Tina Turner called "We don't need another hero." Again, the music can be interpreted in a multitude of ways, even the music he doesn't write but instead does a cover of... it can apply to you trying to be people's hero and is it a narcissistic theme, a loneliness thing, or just a desire to be liked? Or is it about Jesus? Or the church, who he has a particular disdain for, specifically the enormous power and wealth both of which are not used for the good of the human race while claiming they need all their power (think religious freedom laws....and Scientology), and all the money the can get (think tax exemption on religions and the pastors living in mega mansions with several private jets and asking for more money because Jesus wants them rewarded for hard work, just like he (jesus) will reward them tenfold for every dollar they send then people don't get rich and self placate by saying the tenfold blessing might have happened by god making a drunk driver fall asleep instead of leaving home to get more beer or hookers or cocaine and that by god making that dude fall asleep, he didn't hit and kill you on your errand while he was in a drug and alcohol-fuelled sex craze) and their outright lies of needing all this power and money and no accountability and preying on the most vulnerable of the population...he has valid points and he doesn't hate religious people, he hates what religion has done to some of them especially the vulnerable who are taken advantage of. I just love this!! So happy to have found Ghost and the community❤❤ Can’t wait for the chance to see them live
Why am I only just now seeing this? I'm not a baseball fan but still awesome. You will never, ever walk alone 🤘🏻
He was afraid to throw 1,000% because he knew satan would’ve given him the power to pierce human skin.
Found this band too only a couple weeks ago.. I hail from the 80's and not many talent has struck me like theirs.. dare I say they remind me of Queensryche! Pissed that I missed them so close to home.
If you get a chance to see them live, it's well worth it. They put on a hell of a show! I've seen them twice and it just keeps getting better. 😊
Me too I seen them a while ago and remember this band was just jamming... after a while I'm like hey man who is this on stage? they are kicking ass and the girl goes... it's ghost.
Next thing I know some dude is dressed like the Pope and the place was going crazy.
I found them literally yesterday and they were in my city in August. Such a bummer.
I think you're going to love this band the more you listen to them. Or him, rather. Ghost is basically his thing.
Good on ya Papa& Ghost, you deserve the accolades. Your music as well as your vids freakin' rule.
That glance at the end! He’s plotting something!!! 😂😂😂
I just saw those guys in Tampa a few weeks ago. Papa is a freakin SHOWMAN. Great show.
Always a fun vibe, wrapped in a creative vision
This is awesome. Good for you Tobias. You are a genius
As a proud life long Sox fan and a new ghost fan 🎸🤘 this is awesome
Who is ghost? Like a mascot?
@@bassmankilla9352 metal band
@@bassmankilla9352 ghost is a swedish rock band!
@soadsversion thank you very much
I love how he timed it perfectly with the music to stop over the line.
Didnt know if it was that or a little nod to the baseball movie field of dreams where the young rookie stepped over the line and turned back into Doc graham
@@donthemanicmetaller845 there’s a long-running unspoken rule in baseball that you’re not supposed to step on the line - I think he was doing it as a nod to baseball superstition in general (which is a fitting twist because superstition is a big theme in their music/concept)
I wish I would have known this was happening. I live 5 blocks from the park, and Ghost is one of my favorite bands
One of the coolest thing's I have ever seen!
Suddenly sports ball seems appealing to me in this one specific instance. What a mystery.
Little Sunshine....Easy on the ears. First!
It’s the catchers favorite song 😍 saw an interview back during the MLB ALLSTAR game ..
I am in love with this nerd help
Dude that face paint plus the Sox jersey goes so hard. Who knew that would be a goth match made in heaven
My little sunshine's first baseball game, I'm so proud 🥲
I like the part where he's talking to the little girl and she's smiling...papa probably asked her, do you believe in ghost ?,I believe in ghost and dads back there playing with a damn baseball ⚾️ instead of enjoying their company lol
FUK YEAH PAPA EMERITUS!!! Went to go see you in El Paso man you inspired me to be a musician, that concert I took into heart. The best concert I ever went to. THANK YOU PAPA EMERITUS!!!! 🤘
Thank you for saving rock and roll! 🤘
The pause then step on the beat is perfect
All love and smile when I saw this🖤🖤
The way he didn’t step on the foul line +1500 aura
The poise, the sheer irrepressible magnificence of the lad... I'm ever so proud.
OMG PAPA GOES BASEBALL🔥🔥
Waiting for the Papa to do balling😼
Кстати, приятно, черт возьми, увидеть знакомую раскладку клавы в нике...
💀 Respect ☠️ definitely one of the greatest things I have seen👻
Tobias Forge is a great artist. I love the whole Ghost storyline . Papa Emeritus 2 and 4 are my favorites.
This is amazing!! I’m happy to have discovered them!
The Guardians are my home team and they played the White Sox this game it was amazing ❤
The Furies always were my favorite gang in _The Warriors._
They were piss poor fighters though.😅

I've seen many bands play in person and watching their live performance was the best I've seen. The way they interact with the crowd is truly sic:)
They're great showmen. They do great choreography, storytelling throughout songs, papa makes the crowd laugh, sing, dance and Heil Satan.
Loved their concert.
That is amazing! I saw you guys in Montreal last week and it was a once in a lifetime performance I’m so glad you guys got on the billboard top 100.

I'm a die hard white sox fan and this happened about a week after I found out about ghost. Fucking epic.
A good representation of how dead the Sox are
So handsome in his baseball ⚾️ uniform 😊❤Papa
Holy cow, papa really did it.
