Huge shotout to you man. Used an obd2 distributor on a obd 1 harness. I had de-pinned the obd2 plug and pinned the wires to obd1 plugs matching color for color. Code 9 for cyp. Swapped the orange and white wires like you said and the cel is off now. Thanks again!
Just a quick question , I’m have an obd1 94 integra and the motor went and I am going to pick up another motor but it is an obd2 , besides the distributed but else would I have to convert
Just use the longblock from the new setup and use all of your original parts (distributor, intake manifold and exhaust manifold) and you will keep your car obd1. There's no need to convert to obd2.
Hey bro how bout obd0 from the car to obd2 dizzy my car won't start it's a dpfi to mpfi. I check all the ecu wiring it's correct but not sure if the wiring at the dizzy is wrong cause they spliced in the obd2 pigtail to the car harness. Any help would be great thx
Hey man got a obd2 dizzy and I got the obd1 plugs but everything matches up perfectly orange and white match up do I have to connect orange to white and white to orange?
which is the reason of you swap this two cables?(i have a d16y8 distributor and i gonna make a engine swap to b16a)and for sure i gona rewiring distributor to work the b16a on)...but i wanna explain the reason to do this swich on colors...and what will happens if all wires will be same yellow and white to..
Hey brother how are you, I have a b18b1 in my crv 5 speed rn. I just finished swapping long story short my distributor is good but I’m not receiving any spark I think the motor is an obd1 94 and I’m using obd2 cables from my prev b20. Would I need to convert my dist to a obd1? I tested my distributor and it’s good, I even tried another one off a running crv. It was still not giving spark. I know I’m getting fuel, and compression sounds healthy. Motor is shaking hard as icrank it trying to turn on
So, I had a trash engine harness (obd1) with an obd2 dizzy installed ran great but I dint like the harness all cut up when I got the car so I had a new one (obd1) MPFI conversion harness made but!! When he made it he made it for an obd1 dizzy, so i got an obd1 dizyy for it now car has a idle surge and my damn tachometer doesnt work at all was something not wired right I noticed the obd2 has 1 plug and the new obd1 dizzy has two.. Seems the dizzy to jumper harness (tach) wasnt hooked up right or at all? Any help would be great.. Yes Im not great at explaining wiring jeje sorry and thanks
haha i didn’t believe till I tried it!! I was selling my teggy because I couldn’t get it to turn on n ones I seen this video n give it a try first turn on the switch it turned on
I did a lsvtec swap in my 92 integra b18ablock/b16head I am having troubles finding the right distributor every one I've tried the plugs don't match the 2 on the harness anyone got any tips?
Yeah can always get a jumper harness I had one for obd2 to obd1 for my chipped p28. I checked this video out though because I'm about to take my b18 out of my wrecked ek and put it in my eg hatch so I'm having to convert my obd2 dizzy to obd1 to work with the eg engine harness. After watching this video i kinda feel stupid as to how easy it is lol
@@xtripleAx-jh3ns so say if im going from obd2 with a p72 ecu all i need is that harness correct to connect to the ecu or do i need to do something to the dizzy? (First time)
Finally someone who makes a great video and explains very clear HUGE HUGE SHOUT OUT TO U Bro

Would have been nice to specify for what vehicle im trying to do this in my accord those plugs dont look the same
Just tried this about to install it and see how well it works

My civic 96 ex vtec idle air sensor valve have 2wires and i want to put in civic 00 cx hatchback non-vtec that a 3wires, what you think?
That pretty easy to do. Type in FFsquad and you should find how to do it.
How about a OBD2A TO OBD2B THE SMALLER SINGLE PLUG CONVERTED TO THE BIGGER SINGLE PLUG LIKE THE 1 IN THE VIDEO.
So do I half to cut the car harness
Or can i change the harness on my distributor from my distributor
U can just repin

Someones actually gonna watch this video, try this, and fry their ECM 😂🤣
Eric Bailey so far no complaints, so we doing something right.
But I bet you did it and it worked. Keep on hating bro.
Great video did my car and its been over 8months
Great to hear it worked. For all the haters and doubters here is proof. Thank you so much.
Hey man got a obd2 dizzy and I got the obd1 plugs but everything matches up perfectly orange and white match up do I have to connect orange to white and white to orange?
Look at the block off and follow the sequence.
I have an Obd2 motor I’m putting in an obd1 car... is this the solution to why my car won’t start
Daniel Coleman this could be one of the problems. Yes

most likely you will short it.
Is it still running ..we might do this . unless it fries ecus
Of course
@@hellastanceLLC not to reiterate but will this allow my obd1 dizzy run on my obd2 platform including ecu n all
Couldn’t have made this more confusing bro
What ECU were you using with that obd1 distributor?
Sir can this port be used or make some modification to enable auto door lock features in Hyundai i20??
I am not sure.
Help will this work on my prelude 93 si ?
Really good video. Lots of info. Only thing im a critic on is maybe a little more of a warning for the noobs.

I also tried a b18 computer from an integra of one of my buddies and it was still doing the same thing.. cranking hard but still no spark so no start
Did you figure it out?
My b20 harness look different i don't have the two extra wares
Then you have a obd2b
So, I had a trash engine harness (obd1) with an obd2 dizzy installed ran great but I dint like the harness all cut up when I got the car so I had a new one (obd1) MPFI conversion harness made but!! you probably mixed up the blue and light blue wires.
koo koo appreciate it
Life saver bro
My obd2 harness plug looks different to that, will it still be the same
most likely you have a obd2b, look into my other video for that
@@hellastanceLLC nah my plug has 7 wires all in 1 line, it's non vtec idk if that matters cheers
@@jimbobkirkwood828 what did you do in the end ???
Obudee....
obadah
Mother fuckin OHBUHDEE! IT WORKED BROTHER! thanks man!
I know it works. People mess up by matching everything, remember orange cross with white.
haha i didn’t believe till I tried it!! I was selling my teggy because I couldn’t get it to turn on n ones I seen this video n give it a try first turn on the switch it turned on
We got you 😘
my white matches up with my white & my orange matches up with the orange
Roberto Velazquez Jr is it converted?
It works well i made my own step down harness using an old obd1 harness & a old obd2a dizzy & it works perfectly
Hey man I’m in the same boat all colours match up did u just go white to white and orange to orange? I did that I have no spark for some reason
Yeah i went white to white & orange to orange because it match up & my car starts
Roberto Velazquez Jr nice ya mine matched up also so I did the same but I have no spark and no fuel to the pump
I swapped my obd2 non vtec into gsr vtech , runs but acts weird when hits vtec.
I had to shave the pickups for clearance.
I did a lsvtec swap in my 92 integra b18ablock/b16head I am having troubles finding the right distributor every one I've tried the plugs don't match the 2 on the harness anyone got any tips?
is this why my shit revs up to 1500 and runs like dogshit? because i put obd1 dizzy on obd2 vtec motor?
Obd1 to obd2 everything matches color except what 2 do you swap?
B16 obd1 to gsr obd2 . Do I need to flip the orange and white wires on it?
all dizzy are same code wire?
Skim0dark not the same orange and white need to cross
does it work with obd2 ecu and wiring
To make my p28 ecu work would i have to convert to obd 1 dizzy? 😵?

hw many pins does obd 1 has?
same as the obd2a
Hey brother how many pins is in the 1997 civic hx
How about obd2b to obd1?
That's what I'm trying to figure out
I need one to civic96 obd2a to civic2000 obd2b...
Let me know?
why would you wanna go from obd2 too a obd1?
Because that the only distributor i had at the moment. Why not!
Parish_Swamp_Drone I put a z6 in my 99 civic and I used my original harness
@@dc5king101 so you cut the wires like in the video ?
oI find it funny how he pronounces it Oboudy. I allways pronounced it O.B.D.
Did it work?
Of course it works, it's on the REDBULL civic for about a year and a half now. check it out.
🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
This literally made no sense. I was hoping he would show the paper diagram, "like thaaa'at"
manfredo amezquita you should google the diagram
Does it work for an h22??
