Matisse Thybulle has quickly become one of my favorite defenders. In this we'll breakdown the techniques he used to become NCAA DYOP and why he is already a defensive presence in the NBA.
1. Upward Stance
2. Crossover Step
3. Two Touch Slide
4. Behind Steal
5. Behind Block
6. Contesting Shots
7. Denial Deflection
8. Blow Up DHO

This is extremely important, every basketbal channel wants to show people the best handles, or the best shot. But they never what to show the best defense.
Thanks, trying to share the love for defense
Exactly this is why I love guarding offense heads
THATS WHAT IM SAYING MAN! imagine if guards actually put effort into playing D. the landscape of the nba would drastically change
Facts. Defense is the key to your basketball game and most likely get you a college offer.
defense is my fav part of the game
Marcus Smart I idolized my defense after him
Love these, one of the most underrated bball channels. Id love to see you look at another defender who isnt physically gifted - ie no huge wingspan or crazy hand size. It would give some more inspiration to those who have to compensate with IQ and strategy. Other than this id also love to see you look at frank ntilikina bc im a tragic knicks fan.
Caruso comes to mind.
Kwiechu Fithu he’s really athletic though
Coach Mike is a legend. No where else sufficiently tells me enough about defence so even tho I’m an excellent defender and solid scorer I feel like my defensive skills could become useless without building upon them and I come across better players. So whenever I watch him I feel like I can become the most complete player I can be
Keep locking down, glad to hear the defensive tool bag is kept sharp
My favorite basketball RUclips channel
Marcus Smart is a must.
WE LOVE DEFENSE!!
The Behind Poke 😳
Love Matisse Thybulle !
Behind steal and Behind block. This dude is "Good from behind"...for great defense!
He is fun to watch.
He's a great defender because of his physical tools too
All great defenders have the physical tools to excel at that end
Your vids are a majesty
Thank you! Appreciate it
I'd like to see a Jimmy Butler lockdow breakdown so i think nobody can analyze that defense tecnics like you
Jimmy is just strong yet fast and knows the moves of his matchups it isn’t nothing too special like what Thybulle does trust me I’ve been studying defensive players because that is what I do for my high school team so yeah
Hey coach Marcus Smart please
NEXT VIDEO MARCUS SMART LOCKDOWN
Just fun to watch !
Could you do a video on Fred Vanvleet's defense?
Classic style defense
Lu Dort next
People don't get that good defense takes way more effort than good offense
Love your videos Man, Derrick white next please
Can you do derrick white
Thank you for the great video I'm a Sixers fan. I was wondering your opinion on his odds to develop into a decent performer on offense?
Lu dort....he is shutting down harden
Can you lu dort?
Defense evolution
PLS DO A DAVION MITCHELL BREAKDOWN!!
What's back attack foul actually???
I swear these defensive players remind me of me😂
Can you do lock down defense joe dumars
0:53
Dort or Matisse?
mattise
He got dusted on D against Boston in the playoffs. Everytime Tatum or Brown got hot, it was on Thybull. Their best defender on Tatum was Richardson, surprisingly. This last game Tatum was having average scoring night until they put in Thybull, that Tatum scoring run ended up being the death knell.
Your point? Who cares about one game in his rookie year against a team who only made it past one round in the playoffs
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Scottie Barnes
Anthony Davis he averages a steal and 2 blocks as a big man.
He plays like 10 year vet on the defense side
Behind poke? PAUSE 😂
You heard the man, it's "his favorite".
Blazers got him for two second round draft picks! WHAT A STEAL!
