Sixers should trade Richardson when he only has one year left on his contract. Try to package that with Horford or maybe Harris to get a pick and a quality big man and swing(better if it is a 3&D)
He's not making 3's yet let's be a little real. But his potential is amazing and truly he is getting better at offence, if he can polish his offensive game. Maybe all star cause he defense is already legendary
He is so different. His Defensive awareness is off the charts. It’s twitchy and instinctive right now it’s only gonna get better. His ability is so unique that the Refs are in awe and already starting to give him the benefit of doubt this early.
He has good understanding of certain situations, great stamina, light on his feet, can score at will and loves to play defense. Hopes he stays healthy.
Is it just me or does it seem like his rookie year was his best season defensively. In 2022 and 8 games into the season, he’s only had one game with double digit minutes. These rookie defense highlights were soooooo magical, so many plays looked downright impossible. Now he’s just not that electric defensive nightmare for the other team. Confidence? Has better teammates in 2022? Rest of the league scouted how to play him off the floor? I really hope he can improve his shot little by little. And I hope he can find a good role for himself, either in Philly or somewhere else, cause I absolutely love this guy.
he reminds me of a young kawhi leonard 6"7 long wingspan active hands great shot blocker and stealer of the ball if he works on his offence he can all defensive 1st team and become the ultimate 3 and d player.
This kid is soooooo fun to watch as a Sixers fan. His body control and instincts are simply amazing. I'm surprised at some of the steals he gets where he looks like even if he doesnt get the steal his feet are still in position to defend the next action. Like, he sells out, but then can recover and sell out again. If he misses that steal, he might still get the block from the side or behind. Its insane.
Yup I'm a huskies fan and saw how coach Hopkins used him in the top of the zone, and man was it interesting to watch my boy Thybulle. This guy is so lengthy, just putting him on top of the zone allows him to disrupt passes, and if the ball gets passed him, to the low post, he can just recover and block from behind. His defense is so unique to watch
Ive never seen a defender who prefera to trail on defense, he baita players into feeling comfortable only to snipe the ball from behind with that wingspan. Hes a new breed.
😭 no they’re not. One game doesn’t decide how a player will play in a series. Thybulle is a god defender but no one is guarding Giannis 4 to 7 game straight without getting embarrassed.
When I first heard of Matisse Thybulle on the Sixers last year I didn’t know what he was about. I’m so glad I know he’s a defensive beast now and he’s a great defender on a great team this season
Offensive liability which sounds stupid but it's really easy to isolate him out of games and then you just don't allow him to switch on defence it hurts his game
@@Rk-xx1sg The Sixers are some absurd number that I dont remember but its like 30 and 6 when he playes more then 20 minutes. Regardless of his offensive struggles his defense more then makes up for it. I would hope he gets more minutes then Korkmas.
@@aaroncabbage8572 yeah he's a monster would have him on any team im just thinking from a coach perspective he needs to make his stars happy probably embiid needing shooters as the Sixers don't lack defensively too much if he was lights out from three he would play every game every minute without question
@@Rk-xx1sg Fair point. Although Embiid Simmons Richardson and Thybulle together on the floor have absurd defensive potential. But yea, you're right, Shooting on the floor is needed.

He is a rookie and already has a 9 minute defensive highlights video. Amazing

lildatboy196 him and ben simmons do a lot of those taps from behind the ball carrier its actually very smart
Since Kawhi is focusing his energy now on his offense and less in his defense, good to see another player doing this.
Wrong team tho
Sam Green wym wrong
In the playoffs that's when kawhi defends

Yeah Kawhi is nowadays quite an overrated defender

His anticipation and timing is impeccable.
He bites alot but his recover game is crazy

he's light on his feet and his wingspan covers hella distance
