- Today we are making a Simple EDC Knife Out of a scrap piece of a File. You can make this knife without having a forge (keep the steel cool with water while shaping the steel). You will need to anneal the blade in a oven for 1 hour at 350-400 degrees two times or until it reaches a "straw" like color. Tell me what y'all think about it.

Just started my first knife last night at work. Was a lil timid at first but first cut came out great. Since at work, a progress. Kinda helps I work in a machine shop. 😂
Really appreciate that you say what grit you're using.
Another great knife design! I love way you used the white paint for the knife outline.
Nice idea for the scraps
So simple and efficient!! Your videos are so inspiring!!! I just wanted to say thank you 😊
Thank you Neal! Glad you liked it.
Wow so beautiful
Thank you!
Симпатичный little knife!
Great idea. Smart use of materials. I really like the paint for pattern marking. I watch a lot of your videos. Always learn more from you. I enjoy your content and method of teaching. Thanks brother

Nice job! Your channel is one of my favorites on knife making. Thanks for sharing with us.
Awesome use of those scraps Boss! Your channel is very inspiring. Please keep the great work coming!
Cool neck knife.
Very nice looking blade.
Hell yeah man great stuff.
Hi Erick, just found your channel. You are clearly a very knowledgeable and gifted knife maker. As of yet I have not made a knife but plan to in the future. I liked this video without music. I would however enjoy some voice over on what you are doing and or thinking. I know on my channel I expect viewers to know what I’m doing and learned the obvious is not to most. For example when you put the knife in the oven were you tempering? Temperature? Time?
Well done your channel will be popular!
Love to see a video on making sheaths.
Cheers,
Bob
I second this (way too late and don't have my own channel but still)! Fantastic video, and I would like to hear you think out loud as well. I find music mostly irritating and too loud, but in videos that teach me something I want to hear as much info as possible. Giant fan of little knives here btw, they are so underappreciated while they can do 95% of daily edc tasks! I guess it's like with cars: a small one will get you allmost anywhere (tool) but a big fancy one draws attenion (status symbol). It all depends on what you think you need...
Very nice. Great job brother.
Once again, a cool blade.
Nice job, next time you could give such a small knife a lanyard hole.
With a lanyard (and bead) you have a bit more purchase on the handle.
A sort of extension of the handle is what I mean.
My hands are so jacked up that I would probably have trouble with a knife handle that thin and small...but if you like it and whoever buys it from you likes it....who cares what anyone else thinks. Good job bud
I am going to try to make one.
Great job
love it!
Hello men amaizing knifes,!!
That is a sweet little knife. Gives me an idea to want to try to make one.
Where do you get the belt sanders from and the belts?
You can buy belt sanders at harbor freight order belt on line I got 220 up to 1000 grit
I love it! Nice!!
Wow out done your self again
Idea for name “hidden fang”
Great little knife!
Good job.
Knife top 10 👍👍👍👍
Would it be possible to get the template for this knife. Really like it!
Nice !!!
What heat and how long did you temper the blade in your oven?
This one was 400 for 2 hours two times.
A very sick knife!!! What material is your sheath?
Kydex
So you just used a 60 grit and med scotchbrite is all except for the bevil?
Yes, that's it. It's insane what these things can do.
That is so cute I want one. Where can I get one at?????
What did you temper it at?
375 for 2 hours
wow🙏
