Excellent, love this one!
Thank you!
Thank you! The video gave an excellent explanation!
It's a pleasure, thanks.
Cannot understand why there are no earlier comments, as this aspect of beginning factors of composition, values, edges, and two step approach, was all very well explained, and seemingly basics that beginners tend to trip over. I found it very helpful. Thank you.
Thanks for your comment Rosa. Much appreciated.
Nice 👍
Very,very important for start👍
Thank you
I just found your channel. Thank you for this great explanation. Can this first blocking in stage be done in acrylics and then completed in oils?
Yes an acrylics layer can be an easier way to get the painting started. I actually have a course on this called From Acrylics to Oil Painting in 5 Easy Steps.
I am wondering how long you let the beginning painting dry before proceeding?
this is amazing, thank youu!! but please make indonesian subttitle? :D
how long does it take to dry before you go in thicker.
I try to work wet over wet ideally. Momentum is important to me and I can lose that easily. But if the paint surface is too oily and hard to work you may need to let it rest two days. Get back in before the painting dries completely.
How do you put colours on top without making them muddy?
One stroke with lots of paint. Then wipe the brush clean before the next stroke.
@@MalcolmDewey thank you ! I love your lessons!
