- Ah, so this one is supposed to be the Canadian stereotype, hmm? Weeeeell then... gets a knife ...let us tear it apart! Heck, there are a lot of things in this stage that are even wrong following the common stereotype's perspective! That aside, the stage itself is... surprisingly fun. Yes, the mandatory ice stage of Mega Man 6 is actually quite simple and fun... very nice! The strangest section, of course, being the submarine portion of the stage. Never associate Canada with submarines... I am pretty sure most Canadian submarines barely pass safety inspections.
Blizzard Man himself can be a bit hectic. The biggest worry, surprisingly, is Blizzard Man's habit of skiing forward bit by bit to close in on you. I have had him ski in to the point of ramming right into me with absolutely nowhere to go.. Other than that, you really only have to pay close attention to the snowflake patterns to avoid taking hits. Thus, the main threat in this boss battle is the RNG. Cursed RNG... It hates ALL gamers.
Enjoy!~
You are WRONG.
This depiction of Canada is almost entirely accurate. THIS IS WHAT CANADA ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE.
They just left out the fact that all Canadians are actually bears.
Can confirm, those damned spikey shield guys messed up my hair the other day.
And the syrup
Awesome boss fight, btw, Pink. It's cool to see you reacting like that instead of working in time with a predictable pattern. O' course, having played MBAC with you, I know you can do that. ...not that I'm not predictable, too.
@PinkKittyRose A bit late...but perhaps this might help:
I personally think Blizzard Man is, design-wise, based on snowmen. Thus explaining the rounded shape of his upper body, as well as the toque-hat he's got going.
3:28 to 3:30 went well synced with both boss and level music :D
lol, u make these walkthroughs so fun...yeah sea otters are a trip. i always did like this theme tho 4 the most part. i just wish it didnt switch so much
ay Say Say
What you want
But don't play games
With my affection
Take take take
What you need
But don't leave me
With no direction
@TurquoiseStar17 From what I've heard, its similar to that.
This info is from the Manga of Megaman 6.
Plantman - South America
Tomahawkman - North America
Yamatoman - Japan (I will never call him Japanman though, that's his MMBN name and it's full of fail)
Windman - China
Blizzardman -Canadian
Centaurman - Greece
Flameman - Saudi Arabia (hence the turban and the love of oil. STEREOTYPE.)
Knightman - United Kingdom
Yes, because making a stage based on Canada using universally recognized symbols of Canada is "EVUL STEREOTYPZ"... That's like saying a tropical island stage with volcanoes and tikis is making fun of Pacific islanders.
Todos hablando de si es de Rusia o Canadá ...pero el tema de Blizzard man y el de Tomahawk man son lo mejor de Megaman 6 :')
It really depends on where you live in Canada though. Where I am, we get can get snow as late as May, and early as September, and we've even had freak incidents in the summer with snow. If you're living close to a large body of water, you're unlikely to get snow though.
Detroit is close to Canada, and it's a big hockey town. For some reason, the mascot of the Red Wings is a squid. Fans throw squid (squids?) onto the ice during the opening.
Well even then... The arctic regions of Canada are EXTREMELY cold (especially in winter, of course)... sooo chances are you are not going to be wearing a snow-suit and a toque, your face would freeze. A parka is the only way to go in that kind of extreme climat. =n.n=;
When I saw your video of Blizzard Man’s Stage I saw that the submarine part was quite challenging for some gamers, because there are instant death spikes. Also, the stage’s Mini-Bosses which there are two of them like usually, the Squidons are those Green Squids that fire Ice Cubes, and Homing Missiles.
@TurquoiseStar17
Yeah, that WOULD explain the submarine...
Perhaps it's just a generally Arctic stereotype?
I think those were seals at the start. As far as I know, they're about as Canadian as squids, but they do fit in an ice level.
Wow, I got a comment removed a year ago? I wonder what for...
Lol it actually appears to be canadian. I lived in Canada two times before. The first time it snowed on the first day of autumn
Well, if it is supposed to be Russia than they made a fatal mistake. Blizzard Man is wearing a toque, which is regarded as a VERY stereotypically Canadian hat. That can drastically throw off just about anyone's stereotype detection instincts! XD
@PinkKittyRose According to the manga, Blizzardman is indeed Canadian.
I like the music theme of Blizzard Man
you are very good at this game, cheers!
South Park is probably more accurate in this situation.
Canadians love Kraft Dinner, wheels are square, and the first letter of your name is on your shirt.
I love Playing Mega Man 6 Blizzard Man Cynthia!
@TurquoiseStar17 Yup. I'm almost positive it was Russia, but I think Flameman is based on India >.
Never knew that kind of hat had a specific english name.
Anyway, I'd actually say B.man is more stereotypically Norweigan than anything else. That sort of hat is quite common all over scandinavia(or used to be, at least), though I would specifically associate it with Norway. The skis fit that image as well.
Surely unintentional, but amusing nonetheless.
No, blizzard man is for sure a rappresentativo of Canada because of the Skiings
There are curling stone enemies. Wouldn't a hockey puck or stick make more sense, because, Canada?
Also, I saw the stage's setting and immediately thought "Nova Scotia."
I guess this is why there were no Street Fighters with a Canadian Nationality
I never thought that would portray Canadian~
..now I wounder, which Robot (in this game or another, I am not (yet) a Mega Man Fan), potrays Germans..
o.o?
Hey hey hey... capcom can make fun of ANYTHING they want in ANYWAY they want!
Heh, I heard that Blizzard Man might be Russian, since the stereotype is that it's cold there, plus they have all the subs and such.
But I'm Canadian, so patriotism it is! ^_^
dat no-damage run tho
To me, it looks like a futuristic Japanese sub. I don't see how it has anything to do with Canadian stereotype. Maybe I'm missing something.
I'm Puerto-Rican, but I don't cook EVERYTHING in sofrito.
I think this game is repping the new (at the time), skiing facility built on traditional Haida land in BC (hence Tomawawk Man being shown to stay staying in the USA as A.I.M. was backing the Canadian Indians in their protests), as the Nippon Broadcasting Corporation didn't give a fuck about modern resistance to the development of the Haida traditional lands with protests and what-not (perhaps a more Edo approach is the only recognizable resistance to them Japanese folks...now this shelf for my pads...this shelf for the q-tips).
stereotypes can be right
I wonder why everyone think Canada is a snowy country ...... IT ISN'T THAT MUCH SNOWY!!!!!! Seriously... we don't have snow everywhere ...... only during winter.......
@Ericzhanger
Have you ever seen a Plant that has lived through the cold?
Plants like the sun.
+PikNik I'm Canadian as well...
Is it just me, or does Power Megaman's running look quite... camp and silly?
How come he didn't switch to Flame Man's weapon? After all, isn't Blizzard man weak to the Fire Wave?
I thought skis are more Scandinavian.
Are you sure Blizzard Man is not from Scandinavia?
(I am from Finland.)
From what I hear, they are supposedly in such poor condition from age, lack of funding, etc, that they are considered to be very unsafe.
great video, just one question:
i dont know much about submarines, i know even less about canada, so it makes sense (i think) that i know pretty much nothing about canadian submarines, whats so bad/depressing about canadian submarines?
@JDtheDrunk ....
Blizzard Man is from Russia.
What I want to know is, how did they pull off the submarine thing on the NES? It would be much too big to be a sprite, and there is only one BG layer to work with...
Just goes to show you how powerful the NES truly was. Blizzard Man's stage is widely considered to be the BEST stage ever created in all of Megaman history.
@@costco_pizzareally? The ice physics make it one of the worst imo
@PinkKittyRose He's a Robot though. :P
uh... those arent even close to sea otters. those are probably seals, or really fucked up walruses
I wonder, seeing that you feel like stabbing something upon seeing Canadian stereotypes, what do you think of Bear Hugger?
bear hugger is a true stereotype of a Canadian from bc
What 80s song does this sound like
reminds me of apex ski resort in penticton bc
Everybody does.
Megaman in general though entertaining was too easy at times all of it tbh imo
Ha!
Oh come on we're just like america just not fat and lazy!
damn
im canadian......
RNG?
????
worst pun ever
I will SLEIGH the next person who makes a pun.
I hate blizzard man!!!!
