OMG! All the music! Even the story cut-scenes!
This is the first OST remaster I've done where I recorded the footage of the game myself. And let me tell you, F-Zero GX is not an easy finish. I really had to play through the entire story mode to collect all the footage...... I did have fun though. This is a really great game. A franchise all but forgotten about by Nintendo. Do they think SEGA didn't do a good job? Because I think this game is fantastic!

Hmm no it was a collaboration, it wasn't just Sega lol and the reason why there isnt another F-Zero is because Nintendo decided to use internal IPs in-house as opposed to the collaborations they did during the GCN and Wii eras.
@mrlionX Incorrect, their hasn't been another F-Zero game simply because Nintendo chooses not to use it. It has nothing to do with F-Zero GX being a collaboration development between Nintendo and Sega.
F-Zero is a Nintendo IP. Are you aware their are other F-Zero games on different Nintendo systems besides GX on GameCube that Nintendo has made without Sega? That would be like saying Nintendo couldn't release another Donkey Kong game after Donkey Kong 64 since Donkey Kong 64 was developed by Rare.
But Nintendo continues to make new Donkey Kong games, why? Because Donkey Kong is a IP owned by them. It's the same with F-Zero, a new F-Zero hasn't come out simply because they choose not to make a new one, it has nothing to do with the last game being co-developed with Sega. Nintendo owns the F-Zero IP.

People always trash talk the Wii by saying it was 2 Gamecubes taped together, but I also don't know how many people realize the Gamecube's CPU was more powerful than the PS2.

Yeah! It looks super crisp, and with detailed and vibrant environments by GameCube standards.
Both graphics and soundtrack are so astounding
19 years later and Nintendo refuses to touch F-Zero cuz they don't know what to do with it. At this point, people that have already played it are starving for something and the vast majority of current gamers are so new that they probably have never touched an F-zero game. Even just remastering F-Zero GX with Multiplayer would be a mayor success. Please, Nintendo, make our dreams come true!

People joke about Nintendo not wanting to make another F-Zero until they find something they can innovate about it, but F-Zero GX was already the perfect F-Zero game in almost every way and yet it didn't sell tha twell.
Like the amount of content in this game is frankly insane for its time with 41 racers,all with their own vehicles, 4 color schemes, winning animations, animations for when they sit in the cockpit, their own bio, theme song, answers to interview questions and a small video featuring them.
The sad reality is that a game like GX is demanding to a player. You can't just pick up and play this game once in a while with friends unless they happen to be at a similar skill level. That's why we love it, but it hurts its mainstream appeal. If they ever released a new F-Zero, the mechanics, speed and difficulty would be toned down. Just like they did to Mario Kart starting with the Wii version.
I'd rather they remaster this one and put it on Switch with some online functionality. Part of why GX didn't sell well was because Gamecube itself was struggling. Just by existing on Switch, it would probably sell over a million copies.

Hey everyone, just some quick notes:
Sorry for being bad at this game sometimes! XD
Serial Gaps is absolutely my worst course. And unfortunately it's part of the Mute City group, so you get to see me failing at it right at the start of the video. I could've gone back and rerecorded just that course after getting some more practice in, but this project was so big as it is so I was like whatever.
My xBox One controller is only partly to blame. I kept having this issue where once in a while the controls would lock for a couple seconds, inputting the same controls until it became unlocked. You can see this happening in the gameplay of Port Town - Cylinder Wave, where it looks like I just decided to spin around for no apparent reason, and on Cosmo Terminal about halfway through the first lap where I come really close to just driving off the right side of the course in the middle of a straightaway between the splits.
My gameplay also tanks a bit any time you see me playing as Mrs. Arrow. I decided to play as someone other than Captain Falcon for that cup to freshen up the gameplay and I was NOT used to the controls. She would slide around way more than CF.
I mentioned up in the description that I used footage from another RUclipsr for 4 of the songs. Specifically the 4 story mode chapter gameplay songs. I didn't want to spend a ton of time trying to get footage of me passing the story chapter missions, so I asked aaronmunroe if I could use their footage and they graciously said it was ok. It was hard enough just to pass them one time so I could record the cutscenes.
Everything else was recorded by me, emulating the game on my PC. I did make the whole process easier by using a 100% completed save file from GameFAQs. Recording (almost) the entire game myself did make the whole process take a lot longer than usual, but I feel pretty proud about doing it.
I'm also pretty proud with how I was able to seamlessly mix the regular race music with its final lap counterparts, just like how it happens in-game. In the download files (accessible by donating on Patreon) the regular race music and the final lap version are separate tracks.

Pilots theme: Black Shadow, Mrs. Arrow, Captain Falcon, Blood Falcon, Dr. Stewart, Lily Flyer.
I love Phoenix theme
I think The Skull’s is under appreciated, both him and his machine.
Same goes for PJ and his Groovy Taxi.
And I’d say Lightning is probably both my favorite track and has one of the best themes.
Looking back and realising i grew up with this game and is probably one of my most played games of all time

@@Spewa-em8cmI see it as a sign of bigger things to come. At this point, dropping a GX remaster or new, similar game would likely meet with lukewarm sales. They've left the franchise off the burner for so long, it's gone cold, and kids don't know what it is except *maybe* the game Captain Falcon is from. With FZ99 free to play and getting attention on social media, the public is primed for a successful retail followup! At least, I hope that's the plan.

I love F-Zero GX, as of me typing this, I finally completed all 5 Cups on Master Difficulty, I have beaten Chapters 3, and 4 on Very Hard, and I have obtained the short movies for Pilot #’s 01, 02, 08, 10, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, and 31. I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL I 100% THIS GAME!

Oh my word! As someone who beat that entire game 100% without cheating or using the AX memory transfer- I can legitimately say that if you did all of that in the game yourself without doing the same, you are a GOD.

Same. Just wondering, did you ever notice that the camera cuts to different angles along with the beat of the music? One of the hardest parts of this video was synching the cuts along to the music, and I did it with three separate versions of that vid!
I'd sometimes keep it on a loop when I didn't feel like playing immediately, just because that intro with the in-game footage was so damn awesome.

Man oh man I miss this game I gotta get it again I would play the heck out of it I remember fire field had such a banging soundtrack and osc sync lightning was great especially the final lap made you feel like you had to get out of there like the place was gonna explode or something like that and Shotgun kiss(Vegas Palace) was great also used to run to it on the treadmill at the gym, good times and I always main the white cat Jody summer was a bad chic tbh
This game had an incredible replay mode. The only shitty part was that if you wanted manual control of the camera, you'd have to cycle through the different angles, which you'd want to avoid if you're doing video edits. Since the game's graphics were so good and the in-game footage and some of the camera angles so cool, I always thought of an hours long video edit of different replays strung together, as a great idea. Just to look at, like those skater vids you had back in the 90's. They'd have it running on a screen in the gaming/ electonics store and people would notice it and stop and watch.
Btw, they could've given us multicam editing with a Wii U remaster. A grid of simultaneous camera angles on the gamepad, press the one you want to edit on the fly.

Awesome work! PS1 game Wild Arms (1) should definitely get a remaster. Depending on the track base is too strongly present or too weak. There is also some bluriness in the drums.
