I came back to this video after playing the game for a while, and I am now realizing that RT's extraordinary skill of playing games in the most unintended way possible makes this first video litterally spoil the game for anyone, wherever you are in progression. 10/10 Did not think it was possible
I love that the only death Dan has had in like 30 hours of playing this game is the last megapixel of Link's sandal hitting a random cinder block and endgaming him instantly. Like he nearly defeated the final boss on day one with no gear, but a stubbed toe killed him.
Okay so, I only just beat the game today and had been avoiding watching playthroughs incase of spoilers (even boss or environment spoilers) and I'm so glad I held off watching this until now haha Seriously this was insane, looking forward to binging the rest of your playthrough now!

I said to myself I wasn't going to be spoiled by RT since he was probably going to do some insane shenanigans in the first episode. 300 hours later.... I am glad I wasn't spoiled and now I can savour the beauty that is this TOTK playthrough.
That was so ballsy and frankly impressive how much progress you made that I would have been willing to say that the sheer absurdity and boldness of that (without dying) makes up for your first death. Negative one death. You are officially on a deathless run again
This was one of the most legendary gamer moments I've watched live on twitch, had me literally cheering you on in my car after work (couldn't drive home, too invested)! Bravo, sir, the RT Legend!
First things first, absolutely hilarious how rt fought the final boss and actually made it pretty far, second, this plot is awfully similar to the one in skyward sword, which makes sense given the floating islands. Especially the part about creating the master sword using knowledge from the past and zelda having her own adventure in the past and interacting with the present
They’re so similar because TOTK is essentially rewriting Skyward Sword- changing how Hyrule Kingdom was founded to fit it into the lore with the zonai and stuff.
I figured I had played enough of TotK to start watching RT's playthrough, without having to worry about spoilers. The idea was that watching him play would give me the motivation to pick the game back up, and finally face the boss for the first time. I now realize that it was foolish of me to assume that RT would wait to fight the final boss.
I joined the stream when it started for the hype, then had to leave about an hour in. I came back a while later, and it was about 30 seconds before the Colgera spawned, and I have no words to describe the thoughts I had in that moment.
I don't know much about zelda games, but my favorite thing is always how everyone has these like in-depth conversations at link and he just goes "hUH!"
The entire time that he was descending below the castle, all I kept shouting was, "DANIEL! DANIEEEEL!" as I laughed with extreme excitement. I get why some of his friends scold him with his full first name now.

The video: Final boss room on day 1
Me: Well, shit.
RT really is a man who would fight god with a few sticks and some explosive fruits, my god, I love how I came into this wondering what crazy shit would happen and I DIDNT EXPECT HIM TO FIND THE FINAL BOSS- This is why I will always watch RT's stuff, just to see how much you can do in games with his amount of wild energy-
20:54 Happy 1 Year Anniversary since RT stubbed his toe
Watched the whole 10 hours, worth every second, if you watch this and love it theres like 9 more hours just from the first stream people, you should absolutely go watch that aftwr finishing this
I'm in love with the fact that the deciding factor for you to stop at the end was lack of arrows. Mf made it to the END OF THE GAME and was like "oopsies out of arrows, gotta get more. "
26:39 if you've finished "The Dragon's Tears", you'll know that the timing of that sentence was PERFECT
i dont really know anything about zelda but im going to be watching the full playlist of this playthrough tonight to help me sleep because sometimes i get very scared at night for relatively trivial reasons and RT just has this very kind and fun tone of voice. Not sure what it is but its something i appreciate a lot. thanks RT
I came back to this video after playing the game for a while, and I am now realizing that RT's extraordinary skill of playing games in the most unintended way possible makes this first video litterally spoil the game for anyone, wherever you are in progression. 10/10 Did not think it was possible
The Ultrahand ability is like Magnesis had unprotected sex with a tube of Gorilla Glue.
As correct as you are, I'm going to need you to please NEVER phrase it like that again.
@@shadowldrago Apologies, how about this: Tears of the Kingdom is like if Breath of the Wild had unprotected sex with Garry’s Mod.
@@hotscottrulz Much better, thank you.
I imagine the late late game story will be like:
Link: princess zelda, it is I, Link! You probably don't recognize me because of the green arm!
Can’t wait to watch this in 5 years time when I’ve somewhat finished the game
I love that the only death Dan has had in like 30 hours of playing this game is the last megapixel of Link's sandal hitting a random cinder block and endgaming him instantly. Like he nearly defeated the final boss on day one with no gear, but a stubbed toe killed him.
I can’t believe RT is finally playing through Skyrim
26:39 "Where is Zelda in all this?" *Dragon Zelda appears immediately after*
I love how Dan's own hubris simultaneously gets him into and (at least half of the time) out of these situations. Like dude. How? XD
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Physiotherapy Following A Traumatic Accident
I am honestly speechless. I cannot wait to watch the vod. Well done RT!
i got this yesterday and am loving it so far. can’t wait to watch you play through it all too!
Okay so, I only just beat the game today and had been avoiding watching playthroughs incase of spoilers (even boss or environment spoilers) and I'm so glad I held off watching this until now haha
Seriously this was insane, looking forward to binging the rest of your playthrough now!
RT has been the only reason why I still try to fight overleveled enemies in all the games I play.
The man beats the enemies with a stick and his heart filled with the determination to make someone's day worse 😂
"link Have you ever seen a movie with Brendan Fraser Titled The Mummy?"
Gannon: Turns to the camera, demonic eyes glowing
That moment was so well timed!
Knowing bits of the story always makes the start so much better
42:50 its a nice touch that you crouch like a bokoblin whenever you have the mask equipped
I love that Link has a Wii remote as his right hand
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE MUSIC TIMING AT 57:30? Cause holy shit i ascended the moment RT fused the new ice rod and the triumphant strings came IN! LIKE GODDANM THATS SOME REAL HERO STUFF FR!!
57:30 maybe?
@@HazeEmry damn u right lemme change that real quick
I cant express how excited I am for this! Big fan of all your full let's plays and now even more so because it's a new game!
I am so excited to see you actually play the rest of this game but seeing the ending of it was great
I said to myself I wasn't going to be spoiled by RT since he was probably going to do some insane shenanigans in the first episode.
I haven’t seen any let’s plays of this game yet - I was waiting for yours RT! So excited!!!!
I am now glad I waited until I'd finished the game before coming back to this series. Damn man, you crazy.
I joined the stream when it started for the hype, then had to leave about an hour in. I came back a while later, and it was about 30 seconds before the Colgera spawned, and I have no words to describe the thoughts I had in that moment.
Everyone’s talking about facing the final boss, but not enough are discussing him once again reading the coming plot twists from a mile away.
What isn't included here is when chat went ape mode upon seeing Purah, and the chat got put in sub-only mode
