All of these charity shops have gotten way out of hand with their pricing. Everything they get is donated. Maybe they're trying to discourage resellers. But in their pricing they're forgetting about the people they were originally set up to serve. The poor and those on a fixed income
It’s a major trend with the young kids. That’s what the whole thing is.
They all have smart phones and price according to what some fool on Ebay has outrageously priced an item hoping for a sucker to come along, they need to look at the amount the item actually sold for, not the wishful thinking.
It’s crazy
Hello! Hola! When I think & look at my wardrobe + my home decor/furnishings, it is 80% thrifted and/or garage sale purchased! I luv it! My mom taught my siblings and I to thrift simply out of necessity. Thank you mama Brooke for sharing all of you talents with us.🍂🍁🌻❤🎃 May you have a blessed week.

You should offer you service to dress mannequins for the front window if they give you 40% off every month or every week for your troubles! I love the outfits! I wish I could shop there!

If I really had to put it together, I could do a really good job with the scarves and the purses and all the shoes and everything but no one is looking to hire me. 🤷🏼♀️
You know, one of my local Salvation Army stores has a display section separate to their window display where they showcase styled outfits such as the ones you've put together Brooke. And I noticed a couple of my donations as part of the display which was a real hoot. I daresay though, that your thrift stores may employ your services probably on a voluntary basis but you never know if you don't ask. They might just take you up on your offer and they'd be darned silly if they didn't. You'd encourage more people to look through not only the clothing but, as you said, the accessories which we all too often forget about when shopping for an outfit. You have a keen eye for fashion and the various outfits you come up with from a central item is fantastic so I hope your talent pays off Brooke. You've given me some great ideas already.@@mamabrooke

Loved seeing the clothes sets. I love silver too. I’m 74 and remember all the silver my mom entertained with. Now I’m remodeling my 200* yr house I’m going to use teapot for flowers in guest bedroom after I polish it.😃💕

I live on theedge of Southampton, which is always busy, especially this week. The kids have their autumn break and it's manic everywhere. Too many cars! There are lots green spaces though! 🌺

Oh, and you can put a coco liner in the fruit basket and use it as a planter. I would spray pain it black or whatever color you like first.

Love me some Raphael cherubs, gave my sister a silver charm of them for Christmas a few years ago. Those red French glass stemmed glasses, bought a set at the Norfolk Naval Yard Exchange in the early seventies, only have 3 now, which is fine, only use one at Christmas with a battery tea lite inside, I like houndstooth too. I wish I had some blondies or brownies , have a new cookie shop in town but I'm avoiding them, yes beautiful clutch.

I've never been a christmas village girl, but I did one last year and it gave me pure joy! I couldn't do all the color so I "dusted" them lightly with white spray paint and glitter. Pure magic! Thanks for taking us shopping! P.S. The Grace Kelly segues are everything--love!

I loved the peacock teapot. I thought you were going to get it. Lol I’ve gotten to the point you are, don’t get it if I don’t need it. I walk out all the time with nothing because of outrageous prices as well. I like going thrifting to get out of the house. Love your videos.

Do you remember how much the Ralph Lauren ottoman was, just wondering? It was nice! Two cute green birds! Steampunk. Like the wire basket. Finishing spray was $5.00. The peacock teapot was cute. And the fashion show was great too. Liked the Bee in the pot. I would have bought the two green birds, the ottoman, the bee in the pot and the tea pot. I'm terrible because I don't need it but I want it and I have room in my garden.🙂🌵

I only go on sale days at our thrift stores, Like you said very expensive. The Crows and Jack o Lantern is such a cool idea. im going to Dollar Rama today and pickup some Crows for our trees. Oh, the pants are brand. new with the tag still on They just need to be cleaned and pressed they were immaculate condition. If they were my size, they would’ve been in my basket . Beautiful wool pants 💝💝💝

Ooo…cute pj’s. I need one good cotton pair for the cold weather. Tonight is the first really cool night here in the California desert 69 degrees F. My husband and I went to some consignment stores today looking for small art for the house and I saw the picture you’re looking for. It was a small hand painted oil painting a lemon, lime & grapefruit. It was $175. 😳 but so darn cute and perfect for the spot you want in the kitchen. I like thrift stores more than I do consignment. We have one store here that’s my favorite and I still feel it’s fairly affordable. ❤😊

I had suggested in another video and wasn’t sure you had noticed it. Take a beautiful frame and get many different prints perhaps off Etsy of your favorite artist and switch them out like you do over your mail box and do that over your sink in the kitchen.

I live in Ohio and we have a St. Vincent de Paul. The prices here are NOTHING like that. It’s my go to place because the prices are so much lower than even goodwill. The only thing you might pay a good chunk for is a good piece of furniture, but even those prices are reasonable. I bought a Crate and Barrel side table for $250 that retailed for over $1,000. Your prices in Canada are so high!

You should see the prices of our food now it’s ridiculous three short ribs $30 never mind the prices at thrift store , five chicken breast $31 so it’s time for me not to eat lol so I’ll just go play around in the thrift stores and make outfits.

Thrift store prices have gotten ridiculous! And I’m in Michigan. I wait for my discount days and use my coupons too. The only good thing is if it’s priced too high then I don’t end up getting more and more, so it keeps me in line and I won’t end up a hoarder 😆.
