The yt series is chaotic & confusing but the TV series is slightly more cohesive, just as creepy, & so well done. I hope either of you watch it!

Episode 1 is about how despite telling kids to express themselves, we actually limit them to express themselves in the “correct” way.
Episode 2 is more straightforward about an existential crisis of time and aging, and shaming people for “wasting” their time on things like fun.
Might want to preface this is your interpretation since the creators have never clarified what they were actually saying
I find that much of the episodes can be representative of an autistic person melting down or shutting down. The slow buildup, then huge amounts of disturbing at the end. As an autistic person, I can see it. Especially with the 1st and 4th episodes.
This theory is mostly lifted from videos I've watched, but episode two is also probably about only learning things the "correct" way from an authority figure you're supposed to assume is right without evidence, and not thinking outside of what you've expressly been told.
As soon as they start theorizing about the true nature of time and thinking outside of the box, the clock avoids answering questions and then screams at them.
@@ryaneaston3487oh definitely this in episode 1. Especially the way Yellow is shut down over the painting being wrong or picking the colour green.
The whole show has that premiese of limitation and trying to go agaisnt it, how kids shows try to destroy kids nature and replace it with an adult's one too early
“Green is not a creative color 🥰” honestly my favorite line of this episode. It’s just so unexpectedly mean but still said in such an upbeat friendly tone, I found it so funny yet unsettling.
When I saw this listed my only thought was "Oh. Oh no. No no no, those poor sweet souls."

So, I dated a hair stylist for a little over a year, and she’s actually right. The true color black is a cool tone, and human hair cannot naturally be cool toned. Everyone you know with “natural black hair” just has really really dark brown hair. The more you know 😂
I absolutely adore you both. I found Mosco because of Elijah, and I’ve loved both ever since, but I never imagined I’d get to see you together like this. It’s such a treat.
The goal of this show is to make you feel uncomfortable, luckily for me I’ve seen this so many times the feeling I once had has passed a bit (the health episode still sends me off every time though)
The webseries actually became an official series released on channel 4 in the UK
I haven't thought about DHMIS in years but this was an absolute cornerstone of early RUclips. Just deeply, deeply weird. Can only imagine that watching it for the first time in 2023 must be unbelievably jarring, given that the internet has (mostly) grown out of the bizarre creepypasta trend that basically defined it back in the day!

Great stuff
This show pushes surrealism to the max, and is a great commentary on a variety of things. However, just be prepared for this trend of...weird to continue. This is pure creativity on display, both the lighthearted, and most twisted aspects.

As a long-time FL resident, the quality of the houses at HHN floored me this year. The Dueling Dragons was exactly the kind of nostalgia bait I fucking adore (corporatized as it may be).
So here's my dilemma: I wish to like y'all's videos, because the two of you are absolutely adorkable and remind me of when I was a much younger creature and thoroughly infatuated. I, however, do not wish to put y'all through the torment of watching episodes 5 & 6....

You are right to watch these together. I wish I had someone to watch with me when I started! Definitely watch season 2 after this one, its a bit less strange and focused on scares, but still has some freaky imagery.

I saw this show described as "acid tripping Muppets" once and honestly it's a perfect description. Look into the lore and theories, there actually is a plot.
Amazing reaction! I remember seeing a video essay/commentary about how the type and use of horror in this series is reminiscent of the trauma that plenty of autistic people face when navigating an allistic world, which is a take I very much agree with. The Notepad and Clock feel like poorly-informed educators attempting to teach autistic children how to operate in the real world by presenting nonsensical "rules" without explanations for said rules. All of the gore is a way to make allistics feel that same deeply uncomfortable feeling that autistics constantly feel when interacting with society

I LOVE THIS SERIES!! It used to scare me a bunch when I was little but now that I'm older I love it! After you guys finish the RUclips series you should watch the actual TV show version of it. Back in September of last year I believe they got a deal with the British TV network channel 4 and it's really good and actually quite funny, more than I expected it to be lol. This series was a staple of RUclips horror back in the day although looking past that I just love all the sets! They remind me of the old Melissa & Doug toys that used to play with as a kid!

The best way I would recommend to view this is as a children’s learning show by an individual creator who has lost control of their show idea to the producer. There are many RUclipsrs that have done deep dives into the meanings, but if you do watch those, wait until you are done with the episodes. The creators did leave things up to interpretation. Also, this landed them a show by the same name on Channel 4 in the UK.
Still one of my favorites from back in the day! and I love the show they put out too

I had no idea you guys have never seen this idk why 😭 ik it seems weird but this is one of my favorite shows ever I grew up watching it and in the second season/TV series it gets really interesting idk if it's y'all's type of thing but it's amazing
i watched this show in my school (i'm an animation student) with some people from another class (same year and degree tho) cause we figured out how to connect my laptop to the classroom's tv screen and we were doing sculpture homework in the afternoon lol. Luckily I knew what I was getting into but you guys just watching that with zero context is... clearly an experience
