The "totally platonic" thing is a verse from the song "Little Miss Perfect" that Joriah Kwame wrote for a suicide prevention event and the Owl House fandom highjacked it. (There are literaly scenes based on verses of that song in the show.)
This inspired Joriah to make another song called "Ordinary", which is even better than "Little Miss Perfect". Both were already turned into animatics. You might want to give them a look.

When I was first watching Clouds on the Horizon, and saw the Lumity kiss for the first time, I had a similar reaction to these reactors. But before that maelstorm, I remember my very first thought being "Elijah's gonna have a field day."

I love that you were pointing out specifics of people’s editing that aren’t necessarily obvious to those of us who don’t have experience with it! If you want to watch other reactors, I highly recommend thethirdbill; he does a lot of reacting to music but he’s also done all of the Owl House recently and he’s a delight to watch. He has very quickfire editing in the first half of his videos, which leaves more time for his incredible character and thematic analysis in the second half. Also that quickfire editing works well with his very earnestly emotional reactions.

Did you know that the “it’s totally platonic” from EdDaWiz is actually a reference to the song Little Miss Perfect. When only season 1 was there, people linked this song to Amity’s character, and there are many animatics of her and the song. It was said to be Amity’s anthem. And then later on, an anthem for Luz came too. It was called original and there’s also an animatic for that. The two songs have some lines that are the same which binds them together even more. Definitely check it out. It was a big thing early on in the show!!!
This is so funny. I had the thought at 3am last night "what if reactors started reacting to other reactors, and eventually it was just reactions to reactions to reactions etc", and it seemed like a joke. But this was fun. I liked this :-)

However, the last reaction Darqui posted was from season 1 episode 9, but I don't know how far into the series he is. So, could this possibly spoil him? The thumbnail alone is already dangerous...

Also, I personally love watching reaction videos because my friends don't always watch the same things as me. Like for example, I haven't been able to convince any of my friends to actually watch TOH, so watching reactors is a sort of way to get to see I'm not alone in enjoying the show and talking about it.

Personally I moved -straight- gayly into The Owl House because I desperately needed something new after She-Ra ended, and at that point the show had been dropping hints about Amity's feelings and the fandom was wildly speculating about Grom.

Pretty much the entire fandom was protective of Hunter from “Hunting Palismen” onwards. For me it was because the scar reminded me of Zuko from ATLA. The moment Hunter’s face was revealed I was like “what did Belos do to your face?!”
The 76 hat is for the Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers basketball team. Their other cap was for the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team.

Mackenzie's Animation Corner might've been my fave, but she stopped halfway thru season 2. If I remember right some of Elijah's TOH and Amphibia reactions were recorded when she and her mom were moving to Florida so the different locations were hotels and B&Bs they were staying at while looking for their new place.

there is so much great Elijah content you need to watch. Her reaction to pretty much every Lumity moment is amazing and people have made montages.
Elijah was traveling in those first reactions, visiting family. Hence, the blank rooms and need for silence.

Yep I watch him - doesn't hurt that he's a Phillies fan. And yes, Mosco the baseball hats are usually Phillies (baseball) and 76ers (basketball) both teams from Philadelphia. Don't know where he's located now but you only wear a 76ers hat if you're from there. He is also ALL about the Hootie love.

This is like a crossover between all of my favorites 😂
An occasional Reacting to Reactors video would be great. Both Morgan and Elijah have already done She-Ra, and Darqui is well into the last season of that (so he'll be done by the time you might want to do an RtR for that show). Letts React is another channel you might want to pick up for these (its two people, now engaged, and they have more of a watch-pause-and-analyze flow to their shows than the no-holds-barred, check-your-earphone-volume reactions of Elijah and Morgan, but they still have plenty of photogenic reactions (like the Choosy Hat scene in Owl House on Luz's first day at Hexside).
This format is fantastic. I've been watching all the reactors of this video for a long time now, and it's so nice to see them getting the attention they deserve. If you want to check out some other reactors, I highly recommend Headband Guy
I like watching reactions because I'm from Mexico so The owl house translation takes quite a while either Sub or Dub and a lot of my friends don't speak english(Nor use a VPN for the official Disney+ content not available in the country) And even then, their interests are just no the same and while some of them have watched the show through the dubbed Spanish Version so far ( Not saying the Voice actors are bad but theres just something about the original that conveys so much more and also makes it way funnier since a lot of Puns cannot be translated to spanish and still sync with the video) and their opinion was just "meh. Its ok".
So it feels really validating when someone gets as excited about something I'm excited about and you get to see the comments in those videos too. It's just a sense of Community and most of these reactors are plain just funny/wholesome.

"Totally Platonic" is a reference to a song called "Little Miss Perfect," it has Nothing to do with the Owl House. Then Owl House fans said "this is Amity singing" and the person who made the song said "yeah, okay."
'Darqui' is probably pronounced 'dar-kee,' given how Spanish works. But his actual name is Diego, so you could use that. ;)
This was interesting. Of these reactors the only one that I actually watch regularly is Darqui, as his reaction is still in progress so I can keep up with it as he puts them out, though I've at least seen the rest react to Edge of the World (watching reactions to big reveals is quite fun, whether or not they predicted it). His reactions are pretty interesting, he often stops to analyze things as he watches and he's gotten some stuff spot-on from not much information, like figuring out Amity's entire deal just from episode 3. Though he's also missed and misinterpreted some things, as well - I don't think he's caught on to the fact that King is a child yet, or at least not that he's younger than Luz.
The simping (affectionate), I love to see it.

There is a Chanel called "TheThirdBill" who has a reaction series called "trying to stan" and he did one for toh series and he's just super Wholesome and sweet and I'd love to see your reaction to his reaction

I was actually watching MikeyVentures reactions along with yours I just finished his reaction to season 3 episode 2 before I came here
(I watched the other reactors before yours and his, you both ended around the same time)
Yet again I have been saved from having to make my own decisions, I know the next few reaction series I’m watching now lol.
This was fun, and yeah relating to reactions to certain moments where you respond the same is validating, certainly part of the reaction appeal. I tend to seek out reactors who also get big emotions and really immerse/ get invested, so people probably watch reactors similar to themselves if not for validation than camaraderie (albeit parasocial)
I watch reactions to my favourite shows as an excuse to rewatch the episodes a bunch of times and absorb all the details, and to get other people's perspective/reactions on scenes. I definitely find it fun and relatable when people freak out in their reaction videos, but I really prefer the emotional discussions and insight.
Might I recommend reacting to the reactions of IAmZamber?
She is just as perky, silly and loveable as this bunch
