What a great deep drop day. All of those filets looked so delicious. Marsala sauce is the perfect accompaniment. Fun to watch your trips.
It was a dish we hadn't tried before and we love it. Thank you for watching along.
I’m blown away by how beautiful your videos are. Thinking back to the fishing shows I used to watch and those can’t compete. Great job!
Thank you so much for watching.
Clay you knocked it out of the park today buddy great job. Stephanie you made an awesome dinner great job. You two are awesome.
Thank you, Steve. We really appreciate that.
That electric reel is definitely a game changer for bottom fishing! Nice mixed bag and that dish looked delicious! Great video!
Great day out on the water. It's nice to have a mix of fish too. Not all the same species.
Wow didn't realize how many different species of Snapper are out there. I learn something new every time I watch.🙂
Thank you so much for watching. There are a ton of different species of snappers. Some we still haven't caught.
Nice to hear your explanation in a calm, professional way about the gear- I will check out the site.
Appreciate that. Thank you for watching.
GREAT video as always and it was cool that Stephanie made an appearance at the end. Dinner sure looked amazing!
It was great. Great day on the water and a delicious dinner. Thank you for watching.
Great video, as usual. And I love the GMC commercial as well!!!!
Very much appreciated. Thank you for following along on our journey.
Great video, Clay. Glad to see you actually carry enough ice in the fish well to keep things good and cool. So many youtubers do not. Best of luck!
Thank you for watching Chip. We always are stocked, you never know what can happen.
AWESOME video perfect to celebrate father’s day!! Thank you guys!!
Thank you so much for watching along. Happy Fathers Day.
The Yellow Eye is a beautiful fish. I'm with you when it comes to using an electric reel. Why work harder when you can work smarter. Great video! Best wishes to you guys, and Happy Fathers day to all the dads out there!
Appreciate that. Thank you so much. Happy Fathers Day!
You guys must have read my mind,...I made Chicken Marsala this evening for supper, but seeing Stephanie's version with fish I now know what I'm going to do with some fresh Pacific Rockfish fillets next week, after I get my shipment of fresh Morel Mushrooms from a friend outside of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta!! I also found a nice Swordfish Steak at my local grocery store that I'm anxious to try but I'm going to wait for a lovely day and cook it on the BBQ with some other fixins.
For anyone just waiting for some reason to pull the trigger to get some AVAIL Gear, Go For It!!! The quality is exceptional, the fit is comfortable, it's just plain good clothes, for not a heap of money and with the economy the way it is that's a definite bonus for my wallet!!
Nice video again, loved the underwater shot of the weight and the rig rocketing to the bottom, and honestly what a gorgeous day you had!! I don't mind the deep drop episodes, in fact I find it quite interesting, so please just keep on keeping on!! So what happened to your battery? did you have to switch over to an engine battery until you could charge the flat one through the engine's alternator? Hope you guys had a Fantastic Weekend and an Outstanding week to come, take care!!! - Dave
Hey Dave. It sounds like you got a busy schedule going on! Sounds like your eating good though. Enjoy. We really appreciate you giving that shout out for avail gear we work really hard to make our customers happy and very pleased to know your happy with it! We switched over to the engine battery and used that for the rest of the day.
wowza, another stunning video, dinner and chef looked incredible! living the life, thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching! We couldn't continue to do what we do without the support!
Y’all are the cutest! Thanks for sharing 🔥🐟
Thank you so much!
Hey Clay i'm a foodie and I've been baking chicken with this recipe. And I think it would work awesome for fish. A mutton or dog snapper not too big and not too small . Scale it, remove entrails and gills and salt heavily. SOAK the heavily salted fish in buttermilk about 8 hours. Drain and place on a grill rack above a baking dish. Pour a generous amount of beer in the baking dish. Place the whole mess in the oven and BAKE. Perhaps cut slits in the fish's sides before salting so the buttermilk and salt can do their thing. Don't overcook and good luck.
That sounds delicious! Let me know when your on the way. Thanks for sharing
Clay hit the deep dropping grand slam!!
Thank you Juan. It was a really successful day!
That looked like a great fishing trip . To come home keepers like that , awesome
It was a great trip. It's not always like that but when you have good days you take it! 💪🏼
@@LifeByTheBow heck yea , any day on the water is a better than sitting at my desk here at work lol, catching fish is like therapy , I’m serious
Keep up the awesome content. I finally got some shirts and hats from your website. Quality is top shelf. I’m rocking it over here in Texas!
Thank you for the positive feedback. We try to make quality clothes.
It does not matter if you are on the contender or the pathfinder. Your videos are the best. You and Stefanny make a great team. She is not only a full time realtor but excellent chef. That fish Marsala had to be super good. Clay I only which I was the winner of the giveaway and spend just a few hours with you on the water. I think you are the kind of guy that have the patience and time to teach others your talent . I only hope that you keep growing and make it bigger than you are now. Our boat won’t get here on time , most probably end of year. I am home sick . My medication is going fishing from shore . Hi to Stefanny from the Miami fishing Pipo
That was very kind, thank you so much. 😊
powerpoles and electric reels, thats a sight
It's the versatility of a bay boat. You can go out and do whatever!
You've definitely convinced me to bring my 23 bay out there. In my coast I wouldn't venture more than 20 miles and that only gets me under 100 ft of water.
That's what we are here for! To encourage you to go out and explore. Thank you for watching.
My wife and I truly enjoy watching your videos. We spend as much time as we can on the water in our sea Ray. Who makes the sun glasses you always wear? And do you sell them on your clothing line? Thanks Rob
Hey thanks so much for watching! We are wearing the waterland co sunglasses
Nice video, relaxing, no screaming, good vibes 🙂
Glad you enjoyed! Thank you for watching
You are so blessed. Looks like a tremendous amount of fun
Truly blessed. Very grateful for the life we get to live and enjoy!

Thank you so much. We appreciate the kind words.
Those were some cool and different catches this time. Love it!
It was a very diverse day out on the water! Some good eating though. Thanks for watching
Another great video guys! Never deep dropped before but looking to do it someday. Great work Clay!
It's a lot of work you have to put in. But it is a very exciting experience.
Love your videos. I fish all over the country fresh and salt, but I've never made it to the Keys, but you have talked me into it 😂
I don't think it's too hard to convince anyone! Thank you so much for watching the videos.
She can definitely Fish. But, you hold it down Clay. You are the captain. Not only a fisherman but, a engineer of any boat and equipment. You’re Boss! Blessings.
Much appreciated Mark. Thank you
It looks very peaceful. Enjoy.
A great day out on the water. Thanks for watching
All the prep in the world don’t stop thing from happening great recovery
That's for sure. Wouldn't be an adventure without something going wrong.
@@LifeByTheBow that life with a boat lol

Good fish for dinner and had a great time. We appreciate you watching.
Thanks clay for making awesome videos
Appreciate you watching. Thank you
There’s such a wide variety of fishing methods. I love it that we see a variety from this channel. Deep dropping is cool to watch. You just never know what you are bringing to the surface. We all know Stephanie is a rod hog. It’s no secret. 😂❤
Clay really got to show his talent in this one.
@@LifeByTheBow he actually can fish when he puts his mind to it.💪

That makes 1 person! Thank you so much for watching.
Awesome video!
Appreciate that, thank you for watching.
Los mejores video de pesca y de como cocinarlo lo que capturan lo mejor felicidades
Thank you so much.
Another awesome video as expected from this channel I definitely enjoy watching the deep drop stuff and the catch and cooks are always fun to watch. Out of curiosity how many batteries are on the pathfinder with the motor trolling motor power poles and all that
Hey Blake, thanks for reaching out. We have a 36V lithium battery for the trolling motor and we have 2 Marine batteries to run the boat, 1 is an auxiliary.
Awesome job Clay.
Thank you so much javier.
Nice catch big fish and cook
Thanks 👍
Great video that’s a good mess of fish great RUclips channel you all are killing it
Very appreciated Ron, thank you fro watching.
Absolutely nothing better than running over a glassy sea and hauling in a bunch of good eating fish. I’m with you Clay…. finding an uncrowded spot and fishing where a ton of folks don’t fish is a real key to filling the fish box. When I was young, I was told by an old salt’ that deep fishing tall water makes you a man. No it didn’t … it made you a sore tuckered guy using foul language cranking on a big bait caster all the way up. I would be sporting an electric reel these days in a nanosecond! You are spoiling that guy Stephanie with that cuisine… snapper Marsala! You two are the best. 👍
That's so true. You have to put in the work to get a reward. Thanks lance, appreciate you watching and following us!
That Terrova is a monster on a 36v lithium. I’ve installed a few on Lanier for striper boats
It gets the job done! Thanks for watching.
Great Video. No issues with electric reels .I get worn out just reeling in grouper from 140 ft. Can't imagine reeling something from 400 ft. and deeper.
It would probably be a very long day. Thank you for watching
The graphics are insane ❤
Thank you so much for watching
Whatttt a new video.... Im gonna love every sec of this video.....:) Best regards from Sweden....:)
Thank you so much for watching! We really appreciate it
Awesome vid. I’m heading out tomorrow to get a feed, I hope :)
Best of luck. Thanks for watching.
Looking forward to the next backcountry fishing video! Maybe with Alex? Snook/Tarpon/mangrove snapper
Us too! Calling him now. We will get on it. Thank you for watching
Nice one ! Happy Father's Day Capt Clay ❤
Thank you, Parfait. Happy Father's Day to you. Thank you for your continued support.
Very Nice, waiting to purchase my CC and start making some nice runs to the Bahamas on my own.
I see some good memories in your future. Enjoy.
Another great video. Also, no shame in the electric reel. 😂
You know it's still a good fight.
One word "BAD ASS BOAT"
Appreciate that, thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed it.
Fish looks great to eat! thank you
It was delicious! Thanks for watching.
My dude loses power, stays cool under pressure and doesn't even lose the fish. 👊 Beautiful catch too.
"There we go! Night night" 🤣
Going to Nassau for vacation next week. Might have to charter a fishing trip.
There are no worries when you're out on the boat on a Tuesday. It's the little things. Enjoy your trip to Nassau.
THIS IS SO COOL
Thank you so much for watching.

Really hope to meet you one day.we’ll be here till the 30th with our 219 sea pro. We’re keeping an eye open for you guys.💙
That's very special. Thank you for sharing that with us. We are very blessed to be able to share our lives with the internet and glad that we can inspire people to travel and share a similar life. Thank you, David.
I recently happened into this channel and love it!
Couple of questions for you…
In your opinion what would be a good electric reel to get into without breaking the bank for a newer saltwater fisherman?
How do you pick your spots to head to offshore when you first started going out there?
Thanks
Steve
Hey Steve, So a great beginner Reel is a Shimano beast master 9000. It won’t break the bank compared to some of the higher end electric reels. I don’t pick spots to fish, I find spots to fish. I that makes sense. The best thing to do is do your research based on prior knowledge Others have given out on the Internet based on what depth you should start fishing in based on catching your targeted species. If it’s a bottom fish, use your sonar to locate the live bottom if you don’t know how to locate the live bottom look up a video on RUclips based on how to read sonar. If it’s a surface-feeding fish like a mahi, do you want to look for signs of life by debris, birds, bait, fish, etc. hope that helps!
Not the same without Stephanie on the boat ! Great receipt with Stephanie smile just a peanut butter sandwich would epic
🥂
I know, we hear it all the time. She's just a busy girl these days. Thanks for following and watching the channel.
A great fishing day and you all have a great house I would love to have a house like that and to go fishing but all that cost money maybe some day good luck to the both of you
Maybe one day! Keep working hard and achieving the goals you set, you can have anything. Thank you so much for watching.
U r completing our dreams
Thats awesome. Keep watching hopefully, it can inspire something for you!
Awesome
Thank you so much.
Amazing my friend,, from indonesia
Great! Thank you for watching!
Hey clay and Steph I'm finally home in palm beach. Getting settled in. Boat is here almost time to get in touch with you and go for a boat ride 😊
Welcome Back to sunshine! We will see you out on the water!
Yes you will my friend
Nice boat
Thanks so much!
Oh yeah …I saw the blood at the end. 👍👍👍
Yes, we try to bleed all the fish.
I enjoy deep dropping videos
Thank you for watching! We really appreciate it
I would like to see a Warsaw grouper catch video. With some teaching points maybe?
That'll be a fun viedo! We have had a lot of requests to add some more tutorial videos lately. Sowmthing to consider.
Hows the 24 open handling all the conditions you've put it in? Any limiting factors or short falls so far with the setup?
We love the 24. It's an amazing boat, the versatility of it really makes us enjoy it.
Clay,
How much gear do I need to buy to get a fishing trip? My summer is pretty open!
Hey Matt, we had a giveaway that could have allowed you to do just that. Clay does all his fishing for fun. He doesn't run a charter unfortunately
When is the vid coming where you land a nice sword on that LP? Put that thing to work! Great vid!
We are getting there. Thanks for watching!
Man, i wished me and my dad could go deep sea😂
Well, hopefully, you can have that opportunity with your dad. Thank you for watching the video.
nice video
Thank you for watching!
wow😍
Thanks for watching.
Nice video and some really beautiful fish! Why is it that you just drop the fish into the ice without killing them first? Aren't they suffocating in the box?
We bled them before we put them in the box. We just didn't show it.
What is a nice center console boat to start with for fishing as my first boat. Want to take it in the river, bay, and ocean.
Thanks
Thanks for watching, I would probably start off with a 23-27ft boat.
@@LifeByTheBow any specific type/brand?
Hi my name is Wendy and our family truly enjoy your videos as we also fish and love to do this. We’re active duty military and are stationed in St. Augustine and we go on the inter coastal and love going on the water! Way better than sitting on the couch or playing Xbox 😊. All this to say do you offer a “military discount” on your site?
Thanks!!
Hey Wendy, you can email us at availgear@gmail.com with your info and we can get something together for you. Thank you so much for supporting us.
So deep dropping is great fun and I think everyone should reel one in by hand at least once but once you have you’ll shut up about electric reels and be like damn I want one lol and when you get that wild itch and feel lazy you’ll reel another up by hand and be like damn why did I do this I’m exhausted and be looking at that electric reel with new light again 😊
Isn't that the whole truth? It's more of a job than a hobby when your reeling by hand.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you Gaby!
wow steph that fish marsala looks so F'n bomb girl wow is he so lucky to have you ... your just darn amazing and absloutley beautiful... xoxoxo .. clay great work on the deep drop~
That’s so kind of you. Thank you for your sweet words. Truly appreciate it. Thanks for watching
Should have had her cook it up seperatly...then had you try to guess which is which...best tasting as well
Thank you for watching, that would be a fun little twist.
Clay where can we buy your custom rods ?
We have them in production currently, but we only have samples for us. Once we get them perfect we will release them!
Where would be the best place to get information on Clays charter information?
Hey Steven, Clay just does this for fun. He doesn't have a charter business.
What line do you run on the Electric Reel?
We use 80 lb braid on the electric reel.
@@LifeByTheBow Thank you!
Y’all live in the perfect reality.. well at least I think so.
Life is definitely what you make it. We're very blessed.
@@LifeByTheBow Your correct on that my friend.. hard work pays off.. enjoy!
nice haul....how deep were the queens?
They were about 500-600 feet. Thanks for watching.
Good morning, Clay. That color shirt looks really good on you. Definitely missed Stephanie, she’s the light of the party. Question 🙋🏼♀️ Do you “brain, bleed & gut” the fish? I watch Aaron Young too from Key West Waterman and he always does and to me, it’s the humain thing to do. You may not show it so, I was just curious. As always, fantastic video footage! Have a Blessed Day😊🐟
Hey Julia, we try to brain and bleed all of our fish. We don't show it most of the time.
Fire up the charcoal grill for that snapper!!
Oh yea! It was a delicious meal. Thanks for watching
I never understood why CC boaters never followed the the sailing vessels way of using a couple of flexible solar panels atop the T top and an MPPT charger to keep batteries topped off while at dock or trailer. It also gives you charging to house batteries while under way or during a drift. Especially when using electric reel, trolling motors, radio, charging phones & cameras, etc... Is there any specific reason most boaters ignore that, or is it something that is a PITA in a CC boat? It seems pretty straight forward. Looking to buy my first T top bay boat next summer upon retirement and battery maintenance is something that has been on mind for a while. The fact that you lost power power from an accessory battery solidifies my concern. Or... am I just over thinking?
Some CC (Center Console) boats do have solar set up on the T Tops. However the outboard engine alternators generate so much power it’s not really necessary. The reason why my battery died was because it was connected to an alternator. It’s just a stand alone battery I just bring on the boat only for using the electric reel. I hadn’t charged it in about 5 trips so it was my mistake.
I absolutely cannot stand mushrooms, do y’all know of any substitutes? I’ve had Marsala before and love the flavor just not the shrooms lol
I'm sure you could do it without completely. We haven't ever tried it a non traditional way.
imageanine your a fish and you hear "you know these are good eating"
Instantly, out of the boat. Flop my way out.
Love seeing the Stephanies make an appearance.
We do too! Thank you for watching.
Oh, it’s really my pleasure.
What is that under His shirt? Is your mens shirt your are wearing at the dinner table available for sale?
It was a mic cable. Almost all of the shirts that clay wears are for sale on our website, that one specially is called the Bahama Blue Fade long Sleeve.
Will y’all be at ICast?
Hey there, We plan on going as guests no booth or anything.
@@LifeByTheBow hope to see y’all there

I’m a newb to fishing and looking to connect and get some advice about fishing in Florida. Can someone help me out with just any fishing tips and basics ?
Hey, I would highly recommend watching our videos. We have a lot of different videos about travel and fishing. Thank you so much for watching this video.
@@LifeByTheBow thank you I just subscribed I am going to check out your channel thanks for the feedback I appreciate it a lot
The fish going in the box….did you bleed them…?
It’s good to see an equipment failure when you’re out there.. maybe that could be an upcoming video…what to do …..
We like to have real-life experiences. Everyone has issues you can't cover them all up. It also brings a little excitement to the channel.
