❤ IT!
Good afternoon... "Thanks For The Hats"!!! I'm the utility manager on Bimini, and you gave one of my workers two hats.. He gave me the Grey one.. BTW, We're both boaties and My boat is the sport fisher on the hard sitting on the barge across the way.. Anyway, Thanks, and of course I subscribed.
I just subscribed to your channel and i love your videos. ❤️💕💕💕
That 2400 is such a killer rig. Just moved to central TX from FL panhandle, sold my big offshore boat. Wonder if the 2400 would be a good TX lake boat mixed with some coastal stuff. Really torn on a 24 or 26 footer…
Hey Nick, thank you so much for watching. We absolutely love the versatility of the 24 open.
This is definitely my favorite fishing and boating channel. Keep up the outstanding work. ❤
Im glad to finally find some youtubers who are humble both in the vidoes and out in public.
Hey Dylan, thank you so much, we really appreciate that.
Bringing back some memories. Got married on Big Pine Key 13 years ago. Thanks for the great videos and top notch production value your channel brings!
Hey Troy! That's very special. Thank you for watching!
Looks like you caught a mola mola on film right after you plug the grouper on the boat
Oh gosh! Nope not on this channel! Ha thank you for watching.
@@LifeByTheBow then what was that in the water 14:02
Another great video living the dream !!!!!
Appreciate that, we really are blessed to be able to live the dream.
Awesome video and great message! Love seeing yall back under water, hope to catch up with ya soon!
Thank you so much for watching!
Wow these videos just keep getting better and better. Cheers to the team for another stellar video!
And major kudos for showing the side of Freedive spearfishing that truly honors the everyday Freedive spearo , the hard work we put into a full day and how selective a majority of us are. 👊🏼😎. Cheers !
Thank you so much for watching and following along. We work hard to produce good videos, so we really appreciate the feedback.
I like the spearfishing, videos, great to mix it up, 🐟🐟🐟🐟
Thank you Peter for watching. We like to mix it up every now and then.
What is the location of this boat ramp? We are planning to go way down as well.
Hey Robert, we were at a public boat ramp in Big Pine Key.
"Always protect what God has given us, know when to stop and don't be greedy." Words to live by, Clay.
Great commentary, and the visuals today were absolutely stunning.
Thank you for watching. It's really important to teach about conservation and conserving our resources for generations to come.
@@LifeByTheBow Could not agree more.
Wow…. stellar diving episode Clay. This used to be my go-to diving area out of Big Pine as a boy. You and Stephanie remain a breath of fresh air these days with your always admirable ethics, videography and underwater hunting skills. Your no quit’ perseverance turned a lot of hard work into a prize to remember. I remember when you told me you were a newbie at spearfishing …. those days are gone Clay. You are sticking dinner with the best now! We’ll do e and glad to see the knife on your leg, gloves and you dive time management. You and Stephanie are a force of and for’ nature.
Thank you so much Lance. We really appreciate that.
I believe spearfishing involves more fairness and immersion in comparison to fishing. With spearfishing, you have to enter the fish's environment and outsmart the fish rather than trying to trick fish into biting a line. It’s a lot more difficult than it looks! Getting a nice grouper like that is still a successful day in my book!
I agree with that. That's a really good perspective to look at it like that. Thank you.
Great video guys. I felt tired knowing you dived all day. The water was beautiful. I can't imagine how hard it was getting that grouper out of the rocks. But when I saw him on
your plates, it looked well worth it. Made my mouth water. Thank you again for all the time and effort you guys put into making your videos. They are such a treat for me!
Hey Ray, thanks for watching, it was a long day but a delicious meal at the end of it.
Awesome video guy's, epic shot on that grouper Clay. That's alot of groceries for the fridge and dinner table. You gave an awesome saying you gave Clay in the end, good to see you guy's and have a safe and blessed day. Aloha from Kansas
Hey Martin, thank you for following along and watching.
The quality of your videos and your voice make for a new school FLIP Pallot fantastic
Really appreciate that thank you so much.
Great show as always! Thank you! Quick Question… when you launched your boat you have those awesome snaps/straps that look like they attached to your trailer. Can you let me know where to get them? I have a 22’ Robalo & would love to pick up a pair. Thanks in advance… God bless you guys!
Hey there, thanks for reaching out. The straps actually came with our AmaraTrail Trailer.
Those spots in the lower keys are elite and can be held close up there with the Bahamas! Another Great Production
So appreciated thank you so much for the support. It's definitely the untold part of the keys that haven't been exposed too much. Which is great!
Guys, the video and the music just keeps getting better and better and better. The fishing is nearly secondary at this point. It is absolutely fantastic. With the right people around you, this thing will in the future be more than a RUclips channel.....
Hey Chris, we appreciate that. Thank you so much for watching!
Another awesome video guys! Love the lower keys and that spearfishing is tough man! Nice grouper that thing was tough to get. We eat over at Kiki's Sandbar all the time great food! Awesome video!
Thank you so much for watching and following along! We really enjoyed the lower keys when we went down.
Incredible!! 🔥🔥
Love the learning on y’all’s channel! Living and loving what God gave us! Cheers 🥂
Hey Kristen, thank you so much. All about conserving our resources for future years.
Hey Patrick, thats awesome. Thank you so much for watching and following along.
Another wonderful video by Clay and Steph! Your approach to conservation while enjoying a wonderful day on the water is amazing.....
Hey Kevin, thank you for watching. We believe you have to respect our resources to have a future.
@@LifeByTheBow Absolutely!
Spearfishing is HARD work. My favorite is the Hog (they are a lot smarter than the Lion fish...lol). Nice Grouper, thanks for taking us along.
Thank you for watching. It is hard work.
Another great show!
That fish looked really good.
We stay on Summerland Key when we are down there.
Kiki's is a favorite as is Boondocks.
But our VERY favorite is Blue Heaven in Key West. WAIT NO! IT SUCKS DON'T GO THERE!!!
That is also a very good spot! Thanks for watching.
Loved this video! Exactly what I needed for my keys FEVER!! Coming down there tomorrow! 🙌🏻 more Spearfishing PLEASEEE!
Awesome, hopefully, the weather cooperates for you. Bring plenty of sunscreen.
As always Great video Clay. Can you give up the location of that beautiful sandbar you guys stopped by?
Thanks
Hey there! Thanks for watching, it's called contents key.
Thanks for another great video. Just a technical comment, Kiki’s is actually in
Little Torch Key which a lot of people don’t know about but it’s a great place to live. I’m in Jolly Roger Estates (across US1 from Kiki’s). I’ve been following you guys for at least a couple of years now and you have helped me acclimate to the area more than you know… thank you thank you thank you
Hey there! Thank you so much for watching.
Nice black, I shot one in 55ft, 36 inches , had a black grouper fish fry with the family. Didn't taste any different than when I hooked them. I prefer spearfishing though. It's more physically challenging plus 30 years of spearfishing and you learn their behavior. Keep posting.
Thats great. I agree. Thank you so much for watching.
Hey been watching your videos for sometime and I think I might have seen you in the afternoon by Key Largo filling up on US1 around 4 of July as well ! Great content man, especially showing the reality of the spearfishing. Quick suggestion though if you go underwater again. Try your best to kill all spotted lionfish like the one hiding at @9:37 Those things are wiping out young fish numbers, it is absurd when you see it. Just do a quick google image search and type in "Lionfish stomach content" -you cant unsee the damages they do to our fish population. We gotta do our best to protect our waters and ecosystem. Plus they taste good too! Anyways hope to meet you one day in person! If you ever want to scuba and spearfish, Lmk! 😀👍
Probably was us. Yes thank you, we try our best to take out lion fish when we're out there. We know how much they're destroying our ecosystem.
Pretty good, black groupers are very elusive and very strong as well, great catch !
PD: Everyone has different techniques while freediving/spearing but it would be a good habit of getting the snorkel off your mouth while starting to descend ( many reason to list ) I understand that the snorkel you using looks more of a Scuba oriented one than freediving but it is a good habit not to descend/spear and come up with the snorkel in the mouth.
As always great vid, great trailer ( now I know better ), great clothing, cool wife ( fiancé I forgot ) 😀 ..
Hasta luego.
Much appreciated, thank you so much for watching.
We have purchased many clothing items and accessories…thanks for the quality, colours and value!! Can’t wait to fish again w your brother in law…great family…just moved to south Florida…cutter bay. Keep doing what u do…so impressive!
Hey Luz, thank you so much for watching and supporting our small business. Sounds like you are living a good life! Enjoy!
"Welcome to the Florida Keys Aquarium I'm your Diver, Clay and today we'll be cheating." So okay I know spearfishing looks like it's cheating, simply gulp some air, dive down to where the trophy fish are and shoot one, easy!. Not so easy, I've shot a few Lingcod and Pardo in my day from the coast of Vancouver Island to the Sea of Cortez and fishing with a rod and reel is much more relaxing and you catch more fish too, the problem is you can't target the fish you want. Spearing gives you the opportunity to be selective in what you harvest, and to me that's the pleasure I derive from Spearfishing. You guys are so fortunate to be near such an insane amount of sea life, it is truly astonishing watching some of the video you have shot over the past couple of years. You really do have some of the best underwater content I have ever seen. Yet with the passion you both have for fishing of any variety you make sure to take what you need, not to fill every place that can hold ice on that gorgeous Pathfinder 2400. God has indeed blessed us with the life on this planet, and for our lives on it. Take care - Dave
Hey Dave, much respect. Thank you so much for following us on our journey. We are very blessed to be able to live the life we have.
It’s b great if Steph did a video on ‘backing a trailer’… would inspire my beautiful wife to follow her lead.
That's a really good idea. Thank you so much for that.
Was just down in Islamorada. We had an awesome time! I always hate leaving. If I come across $3 million, Stephanie will be the first person I call! Great video once again! Always looking forward to the next.
Thank you so much! You obviously know who to call!
I would disagree it’s considered cheating,you have several disadvantages,breath hold,finding a target,following the target,determine if it’s legal,hitting a moving target,retrieving it,evade the tax man,make it to the surface and find out your 50 yards from the boat,make it to the boat with a bleeding,struggling fish if that’s cheating…………damn.
I like your thinking. Thanks for watching
Just picked up a new to me trailer, it will replace my steel single axle trailer.
Tandem axle aluminum I beam trailer!
Hoping that will allow us the sense of security to head out further to explore!
Love this content, maybe one day we will make it down there!
That’s a long haul from SC, but y’all make it look so inviting!
Good for you, I hope that brings you new adventures down the road. Thank you for watching!
-- QUESTION -- Why did you put the lion fish in the ice box when it was still alive and trying to breath? Shouldn't you have killed it first?
We brain and bleed all our fish before they go into the box.
I only keep enough fish that me and my wife will eat in one night which means .. I basically release 95% of the fish I catch
That's what it's all about. Conserve your resources for future generations. Thank you.
Well done video y'all! I just wish I knew more about spear fishing when I was a young Marine fishing off the rivers and coast of South Carolina where I was stationed.
Thank you for your service! But hey it's never too late to learn!
Not sure what title means but I shoot and it’s no different than commercial harvesting for grouper and killing short fish reeling up fast dumping back in water without venting which you know commercial guys don’t
Thank you for watching. I agree.
Best wallet I have ever owned. Like watching the videos, and Bahama’s are amazing.
Thank you so much.
Hey guys love this one hey Clay remember Aron ( kwwm) acción bring acción the shot in the tale great but the sooner you put out the hole use your knife and kill remember the movements in the water that’s the one call sharks around you anyway great video love you guys
Hey Eduardo, thank you for watching.
There is a lot less accidental fish death while spear fishing. You don’t get any by catch spear fishing vs regular fishing, which inevitably kills some of the caught fish.
Thanks for that. I couldn't agree more.
The Keys keep moving up the list of places to retire with videos like this. Sounding like a broken record, but once again, amazing video.
Thats awesome. It's a beautiful place to live for sure.
Dude Iam sick and tired of googles searches and watching guides on tv catch fish . I have booked numerous guides down in the keys and it’s been not good . Any chance I can book u for a couple days of fishing ?
Hey Brian, thank you for watching! Im sorry we can't offer fishing charters.
Hello Clay just seen your new 39' contender with triple yamaha's 425's for sale what's up any new plans for a new boat?
Hey Keith, we find ourself not using it as much as we want to, we're enjoying the pathfinder as of right now.
The production keeps getting better and better!
Thank you so much, much appreciated
This is truly an awesome video. If this doesn’t make you wanna come to the Keys and fish, I don’t know what will. What a lifestyle!!!
Thank you so much! We are very fortunate to be able to share our lives like this! Hopefully we encourage a few people to get out and enjoy our island.
I think the in your face cameras are putting folks off. just my 2c worth. I say that because there is so much here that I love but you are just not getting the numbers that you should.
Thanks Greg! We appreciate your continued support.
Are you guys aware of the coral reef restoration going on in the keys. I think they need volunteers to help plant out the juvenile coral. Hopefully the reefs of the keys can be restored cause they are in bad shape I've read.
Hey Tom, thank you for watching. We haven't reached out to them before but could be a good idea. We are all about conserving our resources.
As always, awesome video! Love you guys! With so many shark attack videos, are you nervous being in the water? Do you have a strategy you can share of when not to go in the water?
Hey there, thanks for watching. I would say we are cautious, we are in their environment, we have to respect their space.
Hey Clay thank you for share this amazing video with all us I live in west palm beach I love the keys can you send me the location of that ramp I fall in love with that place thank you
Hey There, thank you so much for reaching out. It was a public boat ramp in big pine key. We didn't have the exact name.
Hello Clay just seen your new boat up for sale. What is coming next ??? any hint's.😎🤙
Thank you so much for watching! No hints right now!
Thats a woman. A real one… strong beautiful. Everything her man and her family needs her to be.
Thanks so much! We sure do appreciate her.
You 2 are great I feel like I've known you like a friend for years, you know you are doing a great job when your audience feels "at home". Question, does the saltwater affect the retractable straps. Enjoy what God has given us - I love it
Hey Steve, Thank you for that. We love to hear feedback like that. We take really good care of our equipment. After each use we rinse down with freshwater and store properly.
I really like your long sleeve shirts. Just ordered three more. Your quality is exceptional!
How awesome. Thank you so much for supporting our small business.
people ignore the diving, which is the hardest part. i take people lobstering in
It's all about practice. The more you do it the better you get. Thank you for watching.
Why show a shot of the coordinates just to blurr them out 🤣🤣🤣🤦♂️
Hey There, thanks for watching, for the excitement of channel.
I don’t consider it cheating but if i roll up to a spot and see someone spearfishing vs someone rod and reel fishing i think it just puts way more pressure on an area and the fishing is going to be worse
Thanks for watching. I totally agree.
Hanging out in my area, sweet video man🤙🏽. Were you guys out ocean side or gulf side?
Thanks for watching. We were on the gulf side most of the day.
Missing vids…… where have you guys been
Quality is always missed when it’s gone…👍
Hey Mike, thanks for reaching out. We are busy filming more videos and getting new content! Trying to start posting more. Sorry to keep you waiting!
Great job! That was a lot of work!! Glad the hammerhead didn’t show up earlier. 😮
Thank you so much for watching! Honestly, that could of ended a lot differently.
I don't consider this cheating but it makes it really hard for me that rely on partyboats thar only go out 20 miles
Hey Aaron, yea that could definitely be little tougher of a mission to do without the best resources.
I have traveled afar but never been to the Keys, It is definately on the list for the next vacation, also love my Avail gear.
You should definitely. It's a beautiful place to visit if you have the chance. We truly appreciate your support of Avail and our channel, thank you.
This woulda been nice to see your wife cook the grouper. Nice video y’all!
We like to have a little diversity sometimes. We appreciate you watching.
So much fun and I want to go spear fishing now. Kelp up the great videos!!!
Much appreciated. Thank you!
I just saw your boat on a GMC commercial. I was like hell yeah time to watch some videos
Yes! We just posted a few new ones so enjoy! Thanks for watching!
no...Guys..."all it takes" is the right woman...you are a lucky man Clay
I honestly couldn't agree more. Thank you.
Hi Stéphanie and Clay. This is probably not the place to ask you this, but I'm planning to come to Miami and then Key West, end of July. I was wondering if you had any tips on where to go see manatees on the way down and do some airboat.
How many hours from Miami and/or Key West would it be !?
If you can help me ? 🤷♀️
Cheers and then love you again ! 😊
Hey There, thanks for reaching out! Normally there's never a specific place to see manatees. They normally do their own thing. Big pine is about 30 minutes from key west and I would say about 2- 2 1/2 hours from Miami. Maybe a little less. You can always check when you arrive for exact arrival times.
@LifeByTheBow Thank you very much Clay, for your prompt answer. I was already giving up on that. Hope I see you guys when I come to Key West. And if you ever happen to stop by Martinique. You'll be my guests ! 😜
Hi guys 🤗, I'm moving to south Florida, I need a nice 🏠 in the keys
Hey thanks for watching! You can call Stephanie for all your real estate needs.
I really like your videos but would like to give an shout out to the camera guys who do a super job.
We really appreciate that, thank you so much. We will let him know.
Still liking logo on side of boat..looks subtle but nice
Easiest boat off that I’ve seen 👍
That's great! Thank you so much for watching
Stephanie backs that trailer better than a huge majority of the weekend warriors at many ramps.
Thank you so much! Haha
So you take your caught fish to Kiki's and they cook it for you?
Yes they do!
Love minute 3:35,, needed to hear that to get inspired guys..I will get on to practice to drive boat..girl power saludos fron south padre island tx,,#cardozafamily956
My wife drives the boat off the trailer and picks up at the dock. When loading up she drives it on to the trailer. I am in the water straddling the trailer just giving hand signals. in the direction I need her to go to line it up on the trailer. Hook it up and yank her out. Teamwork and there is no stress and a great way to end the day. Try it, just go slow.
Girl power!! Thank you Mari for watching.
Heading down in 2 weeks, will have to check out KIKI’s!
Awesome. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy when you come down.
How long can you stay underwater, holding your breath and depth.
Hey there, thanks for watching the video. Normally around 2 1/2 minutes.

Awesome video guys. Clay put in some work that day.
Thank you so much for watching. Happy wife, happy life.

That's very kind. Thank you so much, much appreciated.
Hello Clay & Steph, another exciting episode for us. Nice to see how you were persistent with that huge grouper. Some years back I used to follow this guy fishing the Keys. The narration included by him was the best part of the show. Clay, your narrations are very good and on point. By now you may have figured out Flip Pallot was the Keys Fisherman I was referring to earlier. Your show has one Key Thing his did not, its because you have a Queen on board. Hint Hint!!!!!
P.S I caught a 47lb grouper out of Destin aboard the First Light, that fish whipped my butt, but we had fillets for the freezer!!!!!
Hey there, thank you so much. We put a lot of effort and time, in to all of our videos. So we appreciate the feedback.
I think we may just have to retire there, buy a boat and explore all those places you video and of course fish! 🎣
That sounds like a good life. Thank you for watching!
@@LifeByTheBow Thank you for your awesome videos!!
How do you like the 2400 open? Im thinking of getting one. I know it's hard to get on the tower. Are you going to do cut away the side to gain access to the tower. My old self gets stuck getting on tower. How does it ride in big water? And problems with 15" water?
Hey Tommy, thanks for reaching out. We absoulty love our 24 open. We love the open versatility, and how its set up. All while being a bay boat. We will probably leave it the way its set up.
@@LifeByTheBow I live in Tampa Bay and fish skinny waters. I know that state it drafts 15". Have u guys taken it around the flats?

Hey clay...can you tell me where this boat ramp is gonna be in that area
Hey there, thanks for watching. Unfortunately, we don't remember the exact boat ramp name but it was a public boat ramp in big pine key.
Nice black. My favorite bottom fish. I have caught many in Key Largo. The message of conservation is important. My best 72 lbs deep jigging . Love your videos.
Thank you Lee, I think it's very important to remind people that without conservation we won't have resources left for future generations.
I have lived in the FL. Keys (Marathon) all my life and born into a commercial fishing family.
A year ago I made the move to Tennessee to enjoy mountain life.
I love watching your videos, it brings me back to the world that for so many years being on the water was so much a part of my life.
Just an observation for people that might be looking for that awesome meal at KIKI'S the location is actually on Little Tourch Key and not Big Pine Key.
Thanks for the awesome memories you bring back!
Hey Ray, thank you so much for watching we really appreciate it. And yes, we misspoke on that. Thank you for letting us know.
Love the channel and you guys really put your heart and soul into it. I’ve learned a ton over the past couple of years since my wife Michelle and I started watching. Just received apparel off your site also. I bought some of the collared polos. They are true to size, excellent workmanship and reasonable priced. Al coming back for more. Clay and Stephanie keep up the good work!!!
Thank you so much. We really appreciate feedback like that. Thank you again.
Another Top Notch video. Love living vicariously through you guys every week. Almost time to just pick up and move down there! (Yes Stephanie, you will be my realtor!)
Hey Tim, you are on the right track.
Just sitting here in my Avail polo enjoying the video
Heck yea! We appreciate the support! Thank you so much.
Wow great video! Great cinematography! I
Thank you Dalton. We put a-lot of effort into our videos so thank you for the feedback.
hey guys, found your channel this weekend and watched it all. Brought back so many wonderful memories growing up on gulf coast over 50 years ago with parents who were avid recreational fishermen. your videos are so well made and beautifully done. what a life👍👏👏
Thank you so much, we really appreciate that.
Another great video, Clay & Stephanie! I bet the Grouper was delicious! Clay, I noticed you don’t use a weight belt. Do you think that would help or hinder your free dive? Steering from up top looks so cool! 😎
Hey Julia, it honestly doesn't make that much of a difference for me personally. But I prefer without.
Great video! Any fish is a good fish. Of the folks I have seen spearfishing they are well conditioned, water athletes. Kudos to Stephanie on the launching of the boats. So much easier working as a GOOD team. Enjoyed the video.
Thank you so much for watching. Always an adventure on life by the bow.
Nice video guys....Thanks
