Thanks for the love guys. I live in Cape Coral and it was bad but not as bad as on the beaches and the islands. We will rebuild and recover from this, your videos will always help. Thanks again.
The support means the world, thanks so much!
My heart sank as that gigantic Yellowtail slid itself from Clay's hands, across the last foot or two of the boat and unceremoniously plopped to freedom, with Clay in hot pursuit. It can happen to anyone, it's happened to me, if it hasn't yet your turn will come, that staggering feeling as you watch a prized catch with slimy grace, slip from your fingertips and onto the gunwale where it will typically do a terrifying half second 50/50 dance to either stay in the boat, or escape to freedom. Thank-you so much for again allowing us to tag along on your adventures. The beauty of the Keyes and it's surrounding reefs never gets old, it is absolutely stunning and I'm torn that although you and some other RUclips folks I follow are okay and received milder damages there were others that lost far more, and my heart goes out to all the families and folks that "Ian" wasn't so gracious with.
I think what you did with today's episode was much needed. Balance is important and after such a heavy news rotation of the path of "Ian's" destruction it was really nice to just go fishing. Thank-you for including the names and addresses of the places taking funds to put towards Disaster relief though, I hope to donate what I can.
Stephanie, that dish looked amazing, and despite this being Thanksgiving up here in Canada I'm tempted to just put my leftovers in the freezer and dig out some Perch or Walleye fillets and give it a go! I'll have to sub out the White wine for some dry Vermouth (closest I have to white wine) but hey, there's nothing like a good culinary adventure, right!?
Take good care, help you neighbor if you can and we shall hopefully help a bunch of people, and see you next week. - Dave
ps- Clay I got an email from AVAIL today and I just wanted to say, from the bottom of my heart Thank-you to you and Stephanie and everyone involved with Life by the Bow and AVAIL. I was completely taken aback by the gesture, you guys are Fantastic!!!
Thank you!
Thanks so much. We are sending a trailer of goods down to Fort Myers from the Louisburg Moose Lodge chapter NC.
Of course!
My wife and I were super lucky in Naples not to have any damage to our condo or our boat. I know thousands of people can’t say the same thing. Any thing helps our community.
Thank god!
Those were some monster flags! Lol the one that got away that's why I measure my fish on the deck. The dinner was definitely 5 star!
Thanks Jaime!
Ah, you'll both ok, so good to C. ! Have a nice Day.
You too Keith!
What another awesome beautiful video and I like the simple recipe. We are always looking for new ways to cook the Pacific ocean bottom fish we catch. So glad to hear Ian didn't disrupt your home.
The support means the world, thanks so much!
We are glad you are well.
Thanks Frank. Hope all is well with you & thanks for watching!
Yes! Watching you two back on the water brings just a little bit of normalcy after the devastation of the hurricane. The fact that you two are helping those folks in need on the Gulf Coast is no surprise to all of us who follow you. You are outstanding people! I completely agree with you Clay, water after big storms can make the fishing productivity better. Stephanie…. awesome job on Yellowtail ….. mouthwatering!
Thanks so much Lance!
Man. I could sit there and catch flags all day and be so happy!!! Such good eating!
Agreed!
This is why I love you guys! Thank you so much for contributing to the community. 🙏🏼 ❤
Thank you!!
I liked how you spent some time on the knots and baits. The details of fishing is important. Thanks. Glad you guys are safe
Thanks Chris!
So glad you guys are back on the water and filming!!
The support means the world, thanks so much!
You two are so cool…from loosing that yellowtail to poking fun at each other to cooking❤❤
The support means the world, thanks so much!
Finally a update glad you guys are alright! Was definitely worried about y'all.
Thanks so much really appreciate it!
Glad to see both safe and sound with little damage to property. What you are doing for those that have lost all or most of everything is commendable. After experiencing the after effects of Harvey making landfall at Fulton Texas, the outpouring of support and scarifies made by others were unbelievable and appreciative here. The yellow snapper dish looked awesome.
The support means the world, thanks so much!
What's up guys 😁✌️ thanks for sharing
What’s up Joel!
Great to hear all is well with you all.
Thank you!
Steph & Clay...Thanks so much for recognizing SW Florida! I know you both have experienced Hurricane Loss. My wife & I own a second home in St. James City Pine Island that was severely damaged by Ian. We are very fortunate to have lots of friends and family that have helped us start the clean-up, tarp the roof, flooding clean-up, etc. However so many Pine Islanders my neighbors live on the island full time and have lost everything. They are afraid to leave what’s left of their homes for fear they will lose what little they have left. We have been to the island three times since Ian and we carried everything we could to help with the initial needs. “Gas, food generators, etc. I think what they need now is cold hard cash put directly into their hands to help with insurance deductibles, temporary living expenses, travel expenses, vehicle repair or replacement due to water damage. This is a hard thing because who can you trust with cash. Who can you trust to give it to the people that need it most? Hand to hand. It’s a hard thing however I have seen so many champion Floridians helping folks in need so far. Thanks for making some great videos. I love a whole fried Flag! My fav fish..
The support means the world, thanks so much!
Glad to hear y'all are ok and thank you for all y'all do especially for the ones needed
Thanks so much really appreciate it!
So glad you are both OK 👍 and I think it's amazing that your giving back to your community what a wonderful this would be if there were more people like the two of you
Still loving the channel the boats and the fishing definitely my favourite RUclips channel
Thanks so much my friend and I really appreciate the kind words I look forward to seeing you in the next video!
Good to see you guys are ok post hurricane Ian ❤ Also good to see community at work for those affected.

Glad you guys are okay, praying for the residents of Florida.
Thanks so much really appreciate it!
Great to see your all safe and ok. The fish looks delicious! Praying for everyone in Florida.
Thanks!
Thanks for all that you guys do!!
Thanks Greg!
We were pretty lucky here Naples as well, had a little bit of roof damage lost a shed and a little bit of flooding. But not as bad as other people. Thank you guys for what you do and keep up the good videos.
Thank you!!
Wow what a video. Looked irresistible -- meaning the cook, but I'm sure the yellowtail was scrumptious too.
Thank you!!
Great video I really enjoyed how you showed the rigs that you were using. I and I’m sure all of us really appreciate you renting packing up a u haul and going to the west coast to help with supplies because every single trailer or truck load makes a difference
Thanks so much really appreciate it!
Great video!!! So glad y’all are ok 👍. Sadly we just left Islamorada for fall break today 😢. But caught some tuna bringing it home!
Thank you!!
Thanks God you are safe guys.
Thanks Melvin!
Glad you guys are safe
Thanks so much really appreciate it!
Thank you. I live in Ca, but plan on moving to the Keys paradise in about 4 years. Love your show( addicted as well as to Avail). I was looking to donate and this is perfect ! Thank you for posting these relief funds. Got to go write some checks !
Thanks so much Doc!
You guys are awesome!
You’re awesome Jill!
You guys are going places. God bless.
Thank you!!
Glad y’all are good. My wife and I are headed to Cudjoe Key next week for our anniversary. First time in the keys for her. Had the trip planned for over a year. Stay safe guys!
Thanks so much really appreciate it!
Another enjoyable video. Awesome to use your platform to help.
Thanks Alonso!
Glad you survived Ian. Great video!
Thanks so much really appreciate it!
Glad y'all are okay and as a swfl native, I really appreciate the support. I had mentioned a couple videos back about visiting the Cape Romano domes, but they have officially wiped out 😔
Not a god situation.. our thoughts and prayers go out to all of them
I love Yellowtail, it may be my favorite fish, especially as sushi. 😍
Agreed! We love yellowtail
Good to see that all is well with you guys. Great, fun video as always
Thanks so much Jim!
I live in NW Washington so we don't have crazy storms so i can only imagine what living through a hurricane is like. I'd love to live in the Keys but my wallet won't let me. I like the sunshine and heat. not to mention the color of the water down there. It's been a long two weeks waiting for a video but the wait was worth it. Hope to see another one next week. Hang in there and thank you for the extra help you all are giving down there.
The support means the world, thanks so much!
Dropping a fish off the boat today is a perfect reason to go fishing again tomorrow
Exactly!
So happy you guys are back! Been checking every day!!
Thanks so much really appreciate it!
You guys are great people!!!
Thanks so much really appreciate it!
You guys have good hearts. Cooler weather is coming, I bet most folks could use some appropriate clothing.
The support means the world, thanks so much!
Definitely gonna try that recipe.
Try it!
Would really encourage any help people can give. We are in Bonita and had 9’ of surge in our house. Many houses by us were completely underwater. Went to Pine Island to help friends there and it was completely destroyed.. every house in their community will have to be replaced. Worst part is that there will be plenty of people never to return as they lost their lives. Thank you for thinking of your northern cousins :)
Of course!
I'm glad to see you both are doing well and safe just six months to go and I'll be down for good clay and steph ie the boat is ready to go down in January
Thank you!!
Let us know next time you are in Naples! Glad your property faired well. The coastal regions here are devastated. God bless SWFL and All!
Thank you!!
5:19...wow, what a shot!
I was worried BC I don't u guys posted last week I watch every week I'm really really glad u guys r okay
The support means the world, thanks so much!
Love the channel! Keep up the great work!
Thank you!!
Great show. Thanks!
Thank you!!
Best video's on RUclips by far! Thanks for helping the Florida hurricane victims. I don't want to sound like the "video police " but.....I never see the driver of your bay boat wearing a lanyard connected to the kill switch as required by law. I nearly learned the importance of doing this by a near tragic experience when my wife and I were offshore in our 24 foot boat and ran into a rogue wave that ejected my wife out of her seat and hitting me while I was driving and we both were saved by the grace of God because we were able to hold onto gunnel and pull ourselves back into the boat.
It's a pain in the butt to wear, but if you would set the example in your videos, it would probably help save some lives.
Thank you!!
🐬 So happy you all made it through ❤ and think the funding will be a great help for so many in need. Looking forward to watching some more videos. My son is a certified diver and I keep telling him to bring me some Lobster or Crab, but he says it's hard to find them diving in Florida. Any tips on where the best diving places are in Florida?
I finally have everything back on, it was a brutal 14 days trying to make it through after a direct hit like that. We were luckier than many because we did not flood, but we did take on a lot of outside massive tree damage, but nothing a little hard work can't make right again. So many are worse off and could use all the extra help they can get. So thank you for all you do!
Although Hurricane Ian was devastating, It has not scared me away from living in SW Florida 🌴
The support means the world, thanks so much!
@@LifeByTheBow Sent you an email about a week ago. Subject: Important ASAP
I Was a bit worried about you guys after not seen any videos uploaded Happy to know you are ok
Thank you!!
i have had barracuda and i actually really enjoy it, not sure why a lot of people do not like them. They are a lot of fun to catch too, big fighters
Aloha, and they’re a blast to catch. Unfortunately some places you have to be worried about ciguatera.
Barracudas are very delicious. I'm baffled that people don't like them. One of my top two fish to catch and eat!!
Thanks so much!
I've been fishing the passes here in Naples since my company is cleaning the beaches n the snook n redfish are going crazy I caught over 20 snook n a few redfish in 40 min
Looks great Steph-try a Sauvignon blanc instead of “cooking wine” but either way I’m jealous!
Thanks for the suggestion Todd!
Wife and I love the vids. Glad you guys made it out OK. Lucky as well with a direct hit on the second round in SC. My wife is always asking what brand boat hat Stephanie has? Thanks
The support means the world, thanks so much!
She buys her hats at TJ Maxx
Us in Florida Got Spanked. Ian got us hard from the south west threw Orlando and "Bitch Slapped" us in the Daytona area. Wow! Prayers for everyone effected.
Hope y’all are doing okay Russ!
Appreciate everything you're doing. SW Florida definitely needs our prayers. Just purchased one of your tops. (Just wandering if you ever thought of doing a house tour, it looks like a beautiful place?)
Thanks so much Fran!
Amazing
Thank you!!
So glad to see you guys are safe and back to doing what you do best, I love you guys even more for what you are doing to help others, thank you, til next time 👍🙏❤️😎⚓🐬🌊🐟🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Thanks so much really appreciate it!
She said I caught more fish… he let that fish go back,Quick!😂
Haha don’t worry she gets me in another video
Classy 🙏🏼
Thanks!
Clay you need to share that yellow with me 😃
Will do Melissa! Hope all is well!
The company I work with is cleaning up the beaches with our machines I live in Naples n we are doing from bonita thru ft Myers beach and then Sanibel all born n raised here in the company I work with
Glad you guys are helping out Howard!
Have you ever tried a homemade balsamic reduction on mahi-mahi? Would probably be good on the yellowtail also.
Sounds good! Need to try it!
Would love to invite you guys to checkout Fort Myers Beach and Pine Island now. I am a local here and half a year later the place is still absolutely destroyed - not to mention now Red Tide is screwing the fisheries here. I would love to film a collaborative video I have a Sony A7RV + Sony A7III, G Master lenses etc we could make a movie. =)
That would be cool! Very sad to hear about your fishery..
Can believe you dropped the yellowtail back in the water
But he was smart, he didn't drop the biggest one.
Could have her catch a bigger fish than me 😳
Where is it that you look for the live bait because I’m new to the area and I want to be able to catch live bait
Hi Lazaro,
Congrats on the move! I hope your enjoying the Keys. Live bait is always moving so we don’t have a particular spot we go too for live bait. We usually look for them along mangroves & look for birds crashing on them.
🙏
Thanks Jesse!
Forgive my ignorance but I have always wondered why US houses are made of wood instead of concrete. Especially while you are in strong hurricane zone. Im not from USA so i dont know if its because of regulations or whatever.
These are older homes typically. Our home is made of concrete.
What are your favorite boat shoe? male & female
Hey Chris I’ve been wearing a brand lately called Vessi
What happened to your larger boat? Was there storm damage?
They sold it, new boat inbound
Nick said it perfect! Thanks Nick
👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Roland!
what key do you live at
We live in Tavernier 👍🏼
😯😯
Thanks!
Yo what happened to the contender
We sold it Brian! But we’ve still been killing the fish 🤙🏼
FISH TUNA
The support means the world, thanks so much!
Clay you did good until you lost Stephanie’s big yellowtail.
Haha! 🤷🏻♂️
My house made it in Naples prayers whose didn’t
Glad to hear it Jaiden!
