Hello Vicki… I loved your father’s interviews when he was producing-editing for the Fluffy Jackets. Your father was a very innovative guitarist, could play blues and everything else. He was a very kind sweet, and humble man that had integrity. I enjoyed hearing his stories though out his years touring and producing. I’m sure that over the years you entered the home studio to observe as he was working on his latest projects. So sorry for your loss. Manny will always be remembered as the “Go to Guy” when someone didn’t want the stress of going to the big city studios when he always accommodated their needs in his home studio. Your father was missed in Nazareth from the very day he left. 😢 He was a guitar genious, a master to us all, but i know that he was you dad and dearly missed to you. I know that he wanted to record one last album with Dan, but never made it. My sympathies and condolances to you and your family.
Manny C. played Raw,and powerfully with a good melodic sense and great tones.It was all in his fingers. Very versatile always trying something new, covered many styles from Hard n Heavy Rock,blues,reggae,folk,pop,mid-eastern,ballads etc. always enjoyed his playing as well as his producing music with Nazareth. RIP Manny Charlton. 🎸👍💐.

He didn’t like him but they chose him anyway, and that made him loose interest in the band so he just decided to leave. It was at that time where Billy Rankin was playing in Nazareth too, so they still had a fine guitarplayer. But damn, he was a loss.
