As someone who has felt all throughout her life that she had to live up to certain standards and who wasn't really given the space to truly experiment when younger, this hit me right in the feels. Hence, if I were to ever have kids, I would allow them to express themselves and love them for who they are and aspire to be.

@@a1marine105 Honestly, I'm pretty sure that's a stereotype. A lot of the Gen Z people in my country aren't like that. They're responsible, serious, and they lead protests against our leaders because of the oppression we're facing. And I wouldn't say that we're easier to manipulate at all. A lot of the naiveness just comes from young age or lack of awareness. In contrast, I think the internet really helped raise more awareness in everyone including younger audiences. And I've seen that with my Country, they try not to let themselves get pushed around by the system. And lastly, a lot of people are depressed. I know there are some that pretend, but I think that was unnecessary for you to say. There will always be a group of people pretending to be what they're not, and we'll always call them out for it. But depression is a pandemic, and I'm glad the internet has allowed people to realize they're not alone and talk about it casually from a "therapeutic" standpoint.
I just get offended everytime someone says "Gen Z" and immediately comes to the conclusion that we're TikTok kids who don't know anything about the world. It's ridiculous when someone only wants to see one side of a generation. And I don't blame anyone either, the media likes to make this a thing. They don't talk about the other people from Gen Z, they just show you a video of a kid dancing on the internet and talk crap about how cringey their generation is. At least that's what I've seen a lot of the time.

But as a kid my family frequently used to go to my father's grandfather because work is closer and a school which I enroll there, everyday I go to my grandfathers house after school and do my own thing with my cousins but grandfather is massively abusive(even to my father a long time ago).Every time I do even minor wrongdoings or my cousins wrongdoings like breaking a cup, playing inside a rice field(already harvested),
Breaking a plant, skipping homework etc... I had to endure the belt(especially when hit in the metal part), the slipper, that long stick after that we are forced to do dishes(and if you do the dishes wrong oh boy punishment again) then remind us to not do it again. Those days were putting a scar to my body very fearing the man I respected.
As for my girl cousins and sister were pretty lucky since my sister goes in a kindergarten near my home and usually less punishment for them.

Part of the joy of parenting is seeing your kid(s) happy and able to live their life by their own standards. It’s taking care of someone while still being able to question and anticipate what they’ll do the next day. Even though there’s a lot of negatives, there’s also a lot of positives, and so much to learn from. With a remote to control them the thrill is gone. You might as well adopt a pet rock instead or something, at least it’s easier to take care of.

It's called verbal abuse, physical abuse, and guilt tripping.
No but in all seriousness, I can't wait for the next generation of parents to end this practice for a large part. Many of us have now learned from our parents' mistakes thankfully. A child is your loved one and a friend, not someone who's beneath you just because you made them or because you pay for their necessities. Help them understand between right and wrong and that you want the best for them, but don't control their entire lives like it's your own. Here are my tips:
Step 1: wait for the mother to sleep
      Step 2: steal the remote
Step 3: go to a different location
      Step 4: enjoy
      Genocide Route:
Step 1: Go full Hulk mode at the mother
Step 2: Do a little trolling
      Step 3: Control Time
      Step 4: Rule the world

The fact that he has to steal the school's stamps and lie about his grades just shows how much control his mother has over his life and how obssesive she is.

Just hearing the fact that there could be a remote used for controlling ur kids terrifies me as the life school kids is already harsh especially in countries like india where kids have no choice but to sucide because they couldn’t pass a exam

You could never have a bus stop like that in the US, it would either be tagged up, smashed and ruined by some crazy person, or be the temporary home of some homeless person. That's the real star of this story.

As we understand that your mental health has always to be first. This also proves another point that mental health should be taken more seriously as currently mental health is being descripted as a mental issue rather than a physical issue.
