Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed your video. It reminds me when I got taxi scammed at hanoi airport. Dude drove me to Old City and charged me about $60 USD. I’m back in Vietnam this week, and scamming has gotten less i think, but I appreciate you bringing awareness to people that are new to this country😃

Very good advice- thank you. We're leaving for Vietnam in 4 days! It's our first time in Vietnam. Been to Thailand and India - scams everywhere but nice to learn about them before a visit where your faced with it and can turn them down. In general it’s pretty damn safe I would say. Just use common sense. They only thing I would be worried about is the weather in July🥵

You can’t just write off locals doing their jobs as scams. Not all xe om drivers will over charge. I got them frequently when I lived there and was always happy with the price. They are deeply engrained in the culture.

Some street food attracts flies. My one time diarrhea experience got me good. I will avoid these donuts for that reason. I will take food that is fresh out of grill or freshly made like he said only.
Fresh off the grill is a safe bet! I do enjoy a dice roll here and there though lol!
1. Vietnam gets twice or three times more from foreigners.
2. The restaurant menu also comes with a menu for foreigners.
3. The price should be reduced at all costs.
4. Vietnamese merchants have the perception that it is natural to cheat foreigners
