I've lived in Vietnam for almost 2 years now. 1 year in Saigon and almost a year in Hanoi. I gotta say, you did Vietnam proud. I've been to everyplace you went. That small, peaceful, non-motorbikey place in Hanoi is not West Lake. It is Truc Bach... where I live. It's too bad you met the shitty grab drivers in Hue and the rude, pushy women at Ben Thanh market (I loathe that place). I watched your whole 2 hour video in 2 sittings. I love Vietnam.
Literally just landed back in UK with the wife after our honeymoon in Vietnam, we have fell in love with the country, mainly based in hoi an but we ventured to hanoi and surrounding districts etc, it's certainly a unique country, definitely going back
We never watch videos longer than 12-15 minutes, 19 if they are REALLY well done. When I tell you that we posted up like we were watching Lisa and Josh's Excellent Adventure and enjoyed the whole thing in one sitting I am not joking. It was the perfect mix of your personalities, good writing, and visual interest/description of where you went. It's like watching actors only better because you seem like basically normal people enjoying each other and life. So good
@@LisaAndJoshwe are heading there for six weeks this Jan 2025. Someone mentioned a travel template?? We’d love to get some questions answered. How can we chat with you?
Don't do it. Vietnam is following the footsteps of China. Playing the long game. Keeping a low profile until they become Rich, and then the Communists of Vietnam will invade America , just like what China is doing now
As a Vietnamese person born in Vietnam, I want to thank you for making this video. You guys are so respectful of our culture and I can tell you also appreciate it for the beauty that it is. Thank you for showing the beauty of Vietnam. We really do appreciate and love tourist like you guys. I live in America now and I truly miss home so much. Seeing videos like yours warm my heart and remind me of how much I love home. Thank you for being the joy I needed and for bring a little bit of home to me. I’m living through your videos. Thank you again. You guys are amazing. I hope you come visit Vietnam more.
I watch a lot of travel vlogs on RUclips and you guys are second to none - the quality and professionalism of these videos diaries are greater appreciated
I'm only 7 minutes into the video, but I had to stop and comment about how much I'm enjoying/appreciating your editing style, your commentary, and the overall enthusiasm for Vietnam. As someone who hasn't been back to Vietnam in over a decade, I am vicariously living through the both of y'all. Pros: excellent intro that wrapped me in and had me sticking around, great editing throughout, a lot of personality and individuality compared to other youtubers. Love it!
I know you don’t like showing the disappointing aspects of travel, such as scams. But I believe it’s a wonderful thing to show as these are real world issues you will encounter while traveling. Of all the travel channels my wife and I watch on RUclips, yours are our favorite! It’s good to see good people in the world sharing their experiences and their warnings! God bless and keep you safe!
Planning to visit Vietnam as it's my BF's home, clicked on this video at random and wasn't expecting to watch it all. A vlog has never given me such wanderlust. So incredibly entertaining and authentic, you two make the stressful side of traveling such an exciting adventure. Definitely calmed my nerves
I spent 10 days in Vietnam last year and this reminded me of all the things I loved about it! Also love that you show the highs and the lows, no need for the fake RUclips facade here - travelling has its less amazing days, that's just life!
This is your first video that I watched. Just what I wanted to find for my Vietnam travel dream itch! (Haven't been there yet). What an experience you guys had! I love your down-to-earth approach. I also love how you guys are all about *the experience* and not yourselves, which is not all that common with many travel RUclipsrs, especially the couples. As a foodie, I appreciate your lavish focus on the food you eat! Very solid production and great choices for music, tastefully used. You have earned my subscription!
Hi Lisa & Josh, I honestly lost count of how many times I watched this video. First of all, you inspired my husband and I to spend a month in Vietnam with my 18 years old son - we are flying in 40 days! Secondly, you guys are really amazing! I love the humor, honest opinion about the experiences you've had and the chemistry between the two of you. I have a lot of fun watching your videos. Anyhow, after Vietnam we are flying to Japan, so needless to say I am also watching all your saga there. Thanks for all your hard-work to make your trips an inspiration for us.
thank you sooooo much for this amazing video and coverage of Vietnam ... to be honest vietnam was not on my list of travel because as a solo female traveler i feel it might be hard to travel there .... but seeing this video made feel much at ease (that doesn't mean I wont have my guard up ... I am always careful ) but this video made me think of it more . on another note your way of 100$ budget Ive used it in my last 3 trips and it has been amazing! its duable and to me made more travel exciting and I now can travel more by researching a more affordable way of travel. thank you from the bottom of my heart . You have really set a good way to budget. seeing lots of love to both of you from Jeddah Saudi Arabia !
This is the best travel vlog I've ever seen! You catched the magic of traveling on a budget perfectly. The music, the voice over, the sympathic couple.... Now I wanna go back to vietnam as soon as possible. Thank you for that beautiful time out from the normal life.
Thank you for spending your precious time traveling along my beautiful homeland, Vietnam. As a young Vietnamese generation, I am greatly proud of how Vietnamese scenery, foods, and people bring to you guys throughout the journey. Besides that, I feel so sorry and sincerely apologize for the unfortunate experiences you guys have gone through. Anyway, thank you again for visiting and feeling Vietnam with all your heart. Hope you a great and safe journey ahead. Appreciation from Vietnam🇻🇳❤️
Thank you for this reminder of one of the best countries I have ever visited - the smells, tastes, people and scenery of Vietname. Time to do it all again methinks.
Just wanted to say I was born in vietnam in 1971 and left in 1972. Never been back and will go at the end of December this year for 1 month. I really enjoyed watching your utube clip. It was very inspirational for me. Thank you for sharing your holiday.

What an absolutely amazing! Vietnam video I’ve ever watched I’m convinced that I need to visit there. 😍🔥🔥🔥🔥 I also enjoyed the fact that everything was so cheap thank you so much for sharing y’all experience
Just loved this one. It was a long show, but it was totally worth watching. It brought back so many memories of trips from years ago. One of the best travelogues for people going to Vietnam I’ve seen. Cheers guys just love this one.
This sounds like such an exciting and spontaneous adventure! Vietnam has a magical way of captivating travelers. Can't wait to see your journey unfold from Hanoi to Saigon on a budget - it's going to be epic! Safe travels and enjoy every moment! 🇻🇳✈
Loved it! Absolutely loved it. We just got back from Japan using many of your videos as a source of info. We are planning to visit Vietnam in Dec 2024. Kinda sad that you guys haven't done a Vietnam video...then bam... today you drop this epic video. Soo excited for our next adventure. You guys rock.
Loved all of this. Revisiting our last visit in 2010. Must get back!! Our response to the somber war memorials and museums is to continually be in awe of the warmth and graciousness of the Vietnamese people. Oh I miss it!
Thank you for sharing this. I almost teared up watching the vast untouched island scapes and caves with all the natural beauty of Ninh Binh. Thank you for bringing me and my family along this wonderful adventure. As a typical American family where budget living is a necessity , you guys have given us inspiration and the realization that we can one go on a bucket list trip like this. Thank you for all you have done on your channel. It truly means the world to a family like us.
WOW this one was incredible. Not sure if you remember me but I asked you a while back on IG/YT about depression when you return from a year long trip. Well my partner and I are returning to the states from our midlife gap year in 12 days. We are now in Malta and will fly to Southampton then transatlantic back. One coping skill you taught us was to plan for future travel and we had been discussing Vietnam and this 2 hour clip we never paused has sealed the deal. We are very excited and might come back for questions if you don’t mind :)
Great trip to Vietnam! I just want to say, I we are animal lovers too, I love your simple heartfelt interactions with the local fur babies. Keep inspiring you two! Love it!
Such a great video. My husband and I just planned to watch a little bit at a time, but ended up watching the entire video. Such high quality content and editing. And I do appreciate the honest reactions to things you experience. Love the long form videos you guys are doing. But darn it, you kept me up way past my bedtime!
Very good video on Vietnam. I see that it is a beautiful adventurous place to visit. My family went there to the same places that you guys visited. They showed some beautiful pictures of the country. I really enjoyed your video. I felt like l was there with you guys. Thank you for sharing your trip of Vietnam. Beautiful country. 😊 🇻🇳
Your videography is on another level. If you have a chance, I recommend you to explore the north west of Vietnam, places like Mu Cang Chai, Hoang Su Phi, Pu Luong, Ha Giang, Sapa, Simacai, Moc Chau, and Phong Nha in the central. They are spectacular. Ha Giang and Sapa that are known to westerners, but the others are not. If you go to these places on the right month, you can see breathtaking views. To me they rank top 10 places in Asia (not exaggerating ).
Hue was the final stop in my itinerary of Vietnam and was by far my favorite. It was raining when I went but still enjoyed it so much. Food was really good and loved the vibes and atmosphere of the city.
As a Vietnamese person born in Vietnam, I want to express my gratitude for your video. You show such respect for our culture, and it’s clear you appreciate its beauty. Seeing your work warms my heart and reminds me of how much I miss home, especially now that I live in America. Thank you for bringing a piece of Vietnam to me through your videos; they truly bring me joy. I hope you come back to visit Vietnam again!
i love your video as a Vietnamese and lived in Oregon. Your video was awesome. I visited Ha Long Bay 2times and still want to come back again. Thank you for your video
We just returned from Vietnam for 26 days, mostly on a motorbike from Central Vietnam to Hanoi. Loved Watching your video to reminisce Vietnam! We loved the experience.
I came to Vietnam 1 month ago. The country is great, feels like home, the streets are always crowded, the people are friendly, lots of beautiful scenery, delicious food. It is really a livable country. I will come back next year.
I'm Vietnamese, born and grew up in Hanoi. This video made me have a big smile on my face every single minutes. I love your content, and admire the way you described your thought about everything happened around. So relaxed. So cool! Thanks for travelling Vietnam. Hope to see another Vietnam trip of you guys! There's so many beautiful things and stuffs to see and enjoy ;) Love you guys!
Thanks! Awesome video. I did have to chuck at "this is coming out before Christmas":) I miss watching you more often, but this movie was great. So happy you made this long video.
It was such a pleasure watching this video. Your carefree and down-to-earth chemistry and commentary, slick editing, the overall storytelling, filming quality… I have to say I was super surprised to find you had fewer than 100k subs because I genuinely thought you were at the 500k or more. Your work is really that good! I’m hoping more of your videos will go viral and get you the exposure that you deserve. On a personal note, as someone with cancer who won’t be able to travel as much and is stuck at home or the hospital a lot, your videos have helped me travel through the screen - not like those sponsorship-fueled influencers where it feels superficial and glam-oriented, but like real, curiosity- and story-driven travel. Thank you for this, I just wanted you to know what an impact you’ve made for at least one viewer out here in the world. :) Keep up the awesome work!!!
This is the first video I've watched from you guys and just wanted to say you both are great to watch. It's apparent how intelligent, knowledgable and relaxed you two are. Your personalities are so great and you work together so well!
I am Vietnamese living in the US. I am planning to visit Vietnam the end of this year and your video showed up on my youtube. I could not stop watching your journey. I love your style of this video, so natural and beautiful ! Looking forward to more great videos like this one ❤
great video team well done . I have Vietnam on the travel list for 2025 .... yeah I know long time away but its only a few pay days from being booked and its a long trip around Asia really looking forward to Vietnam
I'm watching it today - first day from new year/Tet as a way to reduce my homesickness, and I have to thank you both so much for showing Vietnam in a full, realistic and lively point of view. you both are amazing and hat off for you with all the video editing skills, commentary, openness to explore new things. 🤩
Wow, just WOW!! This was such a joy to watch. Your passion for understanding the soul of a place & its people came through in such a profound way with this one. This was so inspiring!
Wow! Just Wow! I’ve watched this video over the span of 3 days and have loved every moment of it! Loved the adventures and the lessons (even the Grab woes and food poisoning)! I even think I may be able to cross the street there if I ever get to visit! 😮😂 Thank you for making your video to show how to do it on a budget!
Gosh must major in journalism or has writing background. Love all your commentaries! And Lisa’s sweet and light hearted temperament makes any vacation a breeze. Love the pair of you. Glad I found your channel.
Hello you two, my wife and I just finished watching your Vietnam adventure and if I had 4 thumbs 👍👍👍👍 I would rate it with all of them! You guys are the best, been a subscriber for some time now and this was your best 👍👍👍👍 Josh you and Lisa are great at narrating. Thanks for all you do as we appreciate you showing us Asia. My wife is from Thailand but I have never been over seas as I met her in California. Keep up all the good work ❤💪❤❤❤
amazing storytelling, editing, voiceovers and videography in this video. I love every single video you’ve ever uploaded but this one takes the cake!! amazing work. I look forward to every day i see new content on your platforms, you’re my favourite travel content creators, both for the quality and who you both are as people. You are both truly special humans and i feel blessed to come along for the ride through youtube and the podcast. I hope you keep going this for a very very long time! Could see you having a spot on TV in this exact quality and you’d fit right in!! somehow unique in the flood of travel content around these days!
This is one of a few L&J videos RUclips keeps putting on for us, like maybe 20 times now, and honestly, the videos are so well made we just let ‘em play through. Strong work!
WOW, WOW, WOW. I love your video. Watched it from beginning to end in one sitting. Your video shows the beautiful sceneries, delicious food and most of all the warm and lovely people of Vietnam. This is coming from a Vietnamese Canadian. Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful journey through Vietnam.
Epic project. I love Vietnam and it was so great to see you guys do it right. I am sure you will make it back again, it is like an endless buffet of awesome
Its the Six60 Tshirt for me!!!! Ive watched this video 3 times now (maybe more) and have thoroughly enjoyed it every single time! I am soon set to fly to Vietnam from New Zealand for my first time, and I am super excited and very nervous! Your video has helped me plan and put together some of my trip. Voice over and normal Josh are both amazing and enthusiastic, and Lisa you are so sweet and genuine which I absolutely LOVE!
I love how you both keep it honest with the ups and downs, your videos are about the real experience; not just what one long perfect selfie. 'forced optimism' is a great way to put it
This video came up as a random suggestion. Don’t usually watch long videos but decided to put it on as background noise. Couple minutes in I started it over from the beginning and watch the whole thing. Great video!
The content that you guys are providing is invaluable for those who may think they lack the financial stability. Although Christian and I get asked all the time, how do you do it? We are very deliberate in our adventure planning. We take weekend trips near and far. I've started setting aside 30 mins (at least) every Monday morning to field the questions about our weekend adventure. It's interesting to see how many people from my office are being inspired to get out and explore. @lisaandjosh and others have inspired us to start telling our story to a wider audience. More to follow as we kick off TeamMike Adventure.
Lisa and Josh, I absolutely love your content! Your guys personality adds to the great content you provide us! Keep up the great work, and I wish nothing but the best for you both! God speed, and God bless you both!
This video is legit!! If it says anything, it's the very 1st time I ever comment a RUclips vid & I watched hundreds to prepare trips ;-) Love how honest & genuine you both are, and your itinerary is dope!! Going to Vietnam for the 1st time in a few days & your input really helped!! thanks!!
i'm just minutes into this and - as i was in vietnam exactly a year ago right now - I MISS IT. also, every morning at 7am (except sundays), music blared outside my window for 45-60 mins. i couldn't figure out what it was. after a while, i knew it must be an exercise class, but nowhere nearby seemed like it housed one. THERE WAS A PARK ACROSS THE ROAD, OF COURSE! thank you for helping me solve this mystery that has haunted me and ruined my sleep in saigon.
I am Vietnamese🇻🇳 .Thank you for coming to experience my country. I can't believe I sat through the entire video without missing any detail. I highly recommend you to go to Ha Giang. I'm sure you won't be disappointed
My husband and I love your channel! Would you ever think of making a series around traveling with allergies? My husband is allergic to peanuts and we'd love to visit Vietnam (and Thailand...and so many other countries!) one day. It would be great to see a travel series with that concept..! Your videos are such an inspiration :)
just found your channel and watching this video on a cozy Saturday, dreaming of Vietnam! loving this so far. 10/10 for the Big Lebowski reference; we quote that in my house all the time :) all the best to you both! will definitely be watching more of your channel.
THIS WAS SO GOOD 🎉 great editing guys! The cruise looked incredible - so much delish food, drooling over here and definitely went to have Vietnamese food today after watching this last night 😂
my husband and i are preparing for our year long world trip and i’m most excited to go to Vietnam to see where my mom is from and where she fled during the war! this video is my motivation to continue planning and saving for it :)
I’ve missed you guys so much. Now I’m sitting here with notebook paper to take notes of your fabulous trip. Can’t wait to try egg coffee. Thanks for doing all you do.
Lovely presentation. Thank you. I appreciate your openmindedness and generosity you extend to the locals. I 've been to Hanoi a couple times. YOur trip brings back memories. Vietname is changing by the minute except crossing the road is still very tricky.
This was honestly the most enjoyable video I have ever watched about Vietnam. Josh and Lisa, thank you. Today is 11 April and I started planning to visit Vietnam in 2 weeks from now. Been there 2018 last. Happy laughing yoga ❤🎉
This was like a movie that after I got done watching, wanted to hit restart! Loved the content, narration, and editing. You two are great. Hi from Wisconsin 🍺!
In addition to providing complete useful details , this is was a Wonderful vlog, the best part is that you showing everything.. I love when you show Lisa dropped the food, I love when you let us know that you got sick.. It felt an authentic experience that I can enjoy, not a fake social media post that shows only perfection.. thank you so much for you guys. I hope you have a wonderful life together ❤
So happy to see this channel getting the visibility that it deserves! You guys have always created great content, but it seems this past year the stars have aligned. I hope the growth of this channel continues to blossom for years to come!

To me they rank top 10 places in Asia (not exaggerating ).
not forgetting mui ne...im ready to go here again...
Hue was the final stop in my itinerary of Vietnam and was by far my favorite. It was raining when I went but still enjoyed it so much. Food was really good and loved the vibes and atmosphere of the city.

@@phongtran-ih2fy I returned the ff year and did Hanoi to South and stopped at Hoi An. I will return soon and will try Sapa and yes, Ha Giang Loop.
Amazing cinematic video and such articulate narrative from Josh and the kindness of Lisa! Bravo! Love Vietnam!❤❤❤
I watched this all in one sitting. I have been back many times with family, but there are always places to see. Thank you for the amazing video!
Really enjoyed this journaled journey. Was able to unwind after a hectic workday.
Keep up the awesome work!!!
PS. if you have a Patreon, I’d love to support you further your travels around the world!
This is the first video I've watched from you guys and just wanted to say you both are great to watch. It's apparent how intelligent, knowledgable and relaxed you two are. Your personalities are so great and you work together so well!
I am So impressed. I just found you a few days ago and can’t stop watching. Great work. ❤
I am Vietnamese living in the US. I am planning to visit Vietnam the end of this year and your video showed up on my youtube. I could not stop watching your journey. I love your style of this video, so natural and beautiful ! Looking forward to more great videos like this one ❤
I've wanted to do Vietnam for a while. Thankyou for this brilliant video, Lisa & Josh style.
I was hooked on this 2 hr movie! Thank you for taking us along your VN adventure! I loved every min of it!
great video team well done .
happy new year!! we wish you could be home for the new year ❤️ thank you or the kind words :)
Travel requires the development of certain attitudes, wisdom, and life skills. This video was a joy to watch and a great travel primer, Lisa and Josh.
Thank you for making your video to show how to do it on a budget!
I lived there for 3 years. I would avoid crossing whenever possible. I would aways look for a crossing light or cross with other Vietnamese.
You guys are the best, been a subscriber for some time now and this was your best 👍👍👍👍
Josh you and Lisa are great at narrating.
You guys are so chill. Enjoyed the VN. Series. Josh sorry you got sick.
WOW, WOW, WOW. I love your video. Watched it from beginning to end in one sitting. Your video shows the beautiful sceneries, delicious food and most of all the warm and lovely people of Vietnam. This is coming from a Vietnamese Canadian. Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful journey through Vietnam.
thanks so much for watching!!!
VIETNAM is fking ridiculously awesome. IT IS SO GOOD.
This video is legit!! If it says anything, it's the very 1st time I ever comment a RUclips vid & I watched hundreds to prepare trips ;-) Love how honest & genuine you both are, and your itinerary is dope!! Going to Vietnam for the 1st time in a few days & your input really helped!! thanks!!
You guys are awesome. You make me want to return to Vietnam. Love the long video’s. Keep it up .
Two solid hrs with my favourite Lisa and Josh , what a time to be alive , Thank you
Thank you for a super realistic upload , scams and all , i loved it
i'm just minutes into this and - as i was in vietnam exactly a year ago right now - I MISS IT. also, every morning at 7am (except sundays), music blared outside my window for 45-60 mins. i couldn't figure out what it was. after a while, i knew it must be an exercise class, but nowhere nearby seemed like it housed one. THERE WAS A PARK ACROSS THE ROAD, OF COURSE! thank you for helping me solve this mystery that has haunted me and ruined my sleep in saigon.
I just love watching your videos! Such down to earth couple, just enjoying life and taking us with you! Thank you :)
Great video, quality, and Vietnam looks like a great time!
You guys are great couple. I really enjoyed the video. Really felt that experience. Good to know what to expect when traveling to Vietnam 😊
Thoroughly enjoyed your Vietnam vlog.learnt so much from it about how to spend in vietnam.thank you from India with love
Wow!! What a trip!! I loved spending two hours with you all!! Thank you.
Watching Lisa and the group do laughter yoga did make me laugh. Nice way to start my day
THIS WAS SO GOOD 🎉 great editing guys! The cruise looked incredible - so much delish food, drooling over here and definitely went to have Vietnamese food today after watching this last night 😂
I love watching your blogs! I can tell you both are such genuine and kind people
my husband and i are preparing for our year long world trip and i’m most excited to go to Vietnam to see where my mom is from and where she fled during the war! this video is my motivation to continue planning and saving for it :)
I feel like I've just had a holiday, great work!
😊 In my case I don't restart
but I do replay parts I'm more interested 😄
In addition to providing complete useful details , this is was a Wonderful vlog, the best part is that you showing everything.. I love when you show Lisa dropped the food, I love when you let us know that you got sick.. It felt an authentic experience that I can enjoy, not a fake social media post that shows only perfection.. thank you so much for you guys. I hope you have a wonderful life together ❤
So happy to see this channel getting the visibility that it deserves! You guys have always created great content, but it seems this past year the stars have aligned. I hope the growth of this channel continues to blossom for years to come!
My boyfriend's auntie in Toronto sent this video to us today knowing that we will travel to Vietnam this fall. Though I'm Vietnamese and have been to those places many times, I still find the video very helpful and interesting. My bf cannot wait to visit Vietnam. Thanks for the great work ! We really enjoyed watching it.
great travel blog. one of the best i have seen. looking forward to seeing what the two are going next.
