Easily one of the best vlogs done by foreign tourists about the Philippines. The Bayanihan commentary was such a good piece. We appreciate you. PS. This vlog is very reminiscent of Anthony Bourdain's travel documentaries.

Speaking as a Filipino, the irony of not wanting to pay official tourist prices and putting together your own tour for a more affordable price…is very Filipino 😂

Awww I just finished watching. Took me two days because of so many distractions from fam. The ending about bayanihan made me teary eyed. The fact you even know about bayanihan tells me how much you took the time to get to know our culture and respect it. Much love from a Filipina in Hawaii. Time to go home! Love your vlog! My phone suggested you after I watched your New Zealand vlog!

I love this vlog. There's so many priceless moments that are so genuine that kept me watching for over 2 hours. Your chemistry is so in sync and your tempo are so balanced that it adds to the entertainment factor. My favorite moment was the 720 step hike to watch the sunset and the very talented singer Darius serenading the crowd. Gave me goosebumps.

I said to my husband, "I'ts a long video. Let's just watch the beginning." We couldn't stop watching! You do such a great job filming, editing, sound and music background. Josh, you are so funny and Lisa you are like sunshine. We are more excited about visiting the Philippines after watching. Next up we will be watching your Vietnam video! Thanks for all your work and sharing your experiences.

the hate for Manila is absolutely blown out of proportion, the pickpockets, the slums, and the hectic areas is NOT found in the ENTIRE Manila. Manila is huge and for some reason, people saw a tiny speck of negative in one place and for some reason generalized it for the entire city even though that's not the case at all

as a foreigner ive lived in manila for almost 3 months on and off in various locations across the city (only 1 night in makati and bgc, so i havent just stayed in that bubble). the traffic is a nightmare, and yes there are some pretty run down areas, but ive never had a problem and am looking forward to my next 2 months. its definitely great to get out to the islands and go proper holidaying, but manila is a great base of operations.

Thanks for being adventurous n still considered visiting my country, the Philippines inspite of the warnings you received. I think you visited Manila at the start of a major Catholic event, the Holy Week, chose destinations off the beaten track n experienced Filipino hospitality.
Sweet potatoes were used in Max’s fries.
I hope you consider visiting other destinations in the Philippines like Batanes, surfing in La Union or Baler & the rice terraces of the Cordilleras in Luzon, the beaches of Bohol & Negros & the festivals in Camiguin, Davao n Iloilo.

Glad you experience El nido island, Manila’s top experiences: Legazpi Sunday Market, Binondo, Intramuros BUT as a Filipino, I’m sad you didn’t experience Coron’s island hopping: for me it’s the best underwater and the Kayangan lake is world class. I sure hope you come back! Sorry about the food poisoning. Perfect narration at the end, you certainly capture the Bayanihan spirit! Happy to welcome you back here anytime! 🇵🇭💕

The Bayanihan made me teary eyed.. been traveling outside and imagining a life overseas forgetting what i already have in the Philippines.. the homie feeling and the kindness of my people.. it made me realised how we are as a people.. how we always want to reach out and help.. how our parents thought us and showed us how we should welcome and make our guest feel at home.. THANKS FOR THIS REMINDER ❤ i wanna go back home 😢

It’s been a while since my wife and I watched through an entire 2 hour vlog and it feels like a refreshing break from all the short form videos that we’ve been consuming. We sincerely love how authentic and sincere you guys are and being Filipinos ourselves, we felt this is one of the most honest and closest depiction of what Manila and the Philippines truly is. Beyond all the negative things we see and hear about our country is nice that some people chose to show the good and beautiful side of this country. So happy how you guys were able to capture the hearts and mind of the Filipino people and how much are such a welcoming nation :) continue to make wonderful and real vlogs and i love your long form videos. Please keep it up! :)

When I saw this video was two hours and 20 minutes. I thought we were both insane. You for making it and me for thinking there was any chance I would watch any two hour RUclips video. I am halfway in and completely riveted. Will absolutely be watching the whole thing. Better than any Netflix movie.. happy anniversary by the way and you did a good job of surprising her with that beautiful hotel!

I waited for this so long!!!!
You guys did a wonderful and honest way of traveling around our county.
Loved that you guys showed us how to do it this way. I don’t even know how to even start an itinerary here!
Although, you need to slow down and really take it in. Spend more days there.
Listen, you have at least 7,000 more islands. lol!!!
    Have fun!
    We appreciate you guys!!! -
