its essentially break the targets from smash 64 and smash bros melee, unique timed challenges to test your skills. Really cool addition although only starting with 5 or so is gonna be rough.

@@soloshottie Each one is a unique course because each hero is completely different. A Mercy course with friendly targets to fly to would be completely pointless for a Roadhog and vice versa, so each hero needs their own course. Each course takes time to make, so having a course for each character would be an order of magnitude more work than this. If it shows good results they will add more. They were not willing to invest the full cost for the initial release.
They said in the reveal livestream it would be “adding new heroes every week or so” I bet they have like half the hero roster finished but need to make tweaks to gameplay and at the same tome, finishing the rest of the roster’s missions.
The chain lightning seems like something that would have been an unlockable skill upgrade in the story mode

Winston's poke is nice to have but realistically it doesn't really do a whole lot and it's just nice in the sense that you actually have a button to press in the neutral phase and don't have that awkward thing in ow1 where you were sometimes kinda just sitting in bubble with literally nothing to do BC enemies are out of range and you don't have leap yet.
Winston's whole thing is dealing low but very constant damage in an area (he basically has a flamethrower type weapon if you think about it) so he can charge ult quickly and deal a bunch of cleave damage to enemies who are grouped and chain lightning feels like a good way to add that theme to other parts of his kit and make his kit have more depth

Getting into overwatch 2 as a new player is basically a trial by fire you either stay long enough to get good or just leave but this training mode really is cool

While this is a really cool idea...I foresee a problem. If a hero's mechanic is changed in a future patch (which happens a lot in overwatch), it could likely break the course. This happened in Dota, where they developed tutorials. But then down the line after patches and nerfs, and ability and mechanics changed, the tutorial was broken. Im not convinced the overwatch devs are going to priotize fixing it either.

This has more replay-ability than the PVE
This was my biggest struggle with learning new characters. Training Area helps you learn the abilities, but it's not very realistic when it comes to actual gameplay.
Genji and doom fist ones will need more courses

We need chain lightning in the game. Make it do like 25-50 to everyone hit with it and you have to fully charge the right click for it to activate so you can't spam it too heavily

The amount of people okay with getting scammed is insane, you were about to get PvE for 30$, all of it. You now get a couple missions for 15$ on top of the battlepass. So if you want to enjoy the game with skins. Enjoy spending hundreds of dollars on devs who won't put that back in the game to make it better.

This looks like good practice for people but I'm gonna wondering why multiple things only have a few things releasing such as five heroes for this and three stories missions. It sucks because if it wasn't for the PvE situation hanging over everyone's head, I think lots of us would be more excited. I'm interested in the hero progression stuff as well.

@@frank8917 I've only had 1 dps Moira in the past 3 months. My friends haven't seen any either so I don't think that's really necessary.
They might teach people how to bounce the balls more effectively to heal distant teammates tho. Or create a parkour map to learn how to use fade

imo with the way that OW2 has been rolled out, ,my attitude is essentially "at least it is something". It's a free game now so half of me shouldn't complain but the other half who bought OW1 kinda wants to see this game improve because I really enjoyed OW1 and so far I am yet to have that feeling I got from 1 with "can't wait to wind down and jump on OW"

It's still not going to teach players the macro, they'll stay casual even after finishing these. The only thing these are good for is maybe informing about some unexpected interactions the game has and that's all

Before you complain, why don't you think about it again. It's an early peek at the next update. Maybe they're giving Winston's M2 a chain effect in S6 or the mid season patch.

This is good this is great but I don't see how this will matter to most after they finish it and with the mastery. It will be another piece of content that really won't matter to those who already confident of they're own skill and the reward for doing is a meaningless mastery. That at most won't do anything to signify your skill. At most it might cause arguments in match's who is better and worse with characters since we already deal with copycats seeing they're main being used in the enemy team at times. This is going to cause controversy really fast.

But they decided to pretend like theyre smart and made it a gamemode as if the community wasnt able to make more fun content than Blizzard can
