BB58 black is still a perfect size for a sports watch/diver. I also love the gilt bezel numerals, red iconic triangle, and the snowflake seconds counter weight. All that is missing on the BB54. I’ll keep my BB58.

@@charon132 In My opinion after trying it on today i Recommend you Stick to the BB58 and if you really want to Get another Tudor go the new BB36 with Gilt Dial . i have a 6.8 inch wrist and found the BB54 too small, just didnt feel right .. Of course your thoughts may vary .

I bought my self a Zodiac Super seawolf, cream dial with gold colored hour markers. It has some flaws but I think I love it more than my burgundy black bay. The zodiac is much more rammed, and even at 39.5 the dial actually looks huge because of how the markers are positioned , the lack of a chapter ring that separates the second markers from the hours.
I actually first thought it was bigger than I wanted it to be.
There is a black dial version that has a much better layout. Also has a hollow arrow tip on the seconds hand and I thought that was pretty cool. Mine doesn’t have that.
Anyways , I’d recommend the super sea wolf line. The ones with the triangle markers at least. I don’t know about the other models.
Congrats on the burgundy, it is stunning and has a combination of looks/price/specs/value that can't be beat. It is now an extremely tempting alternative to a Sub for 40% of the price (and I own a Starbucks Sub). Also, as a very happy BB58 owner, I seriously love the 54!

For anyone looking for a diver around 4-5k they have a really tough choice in front of them choosing between the Seamaster and this. I love the improvements they made to the Black Bay!
Well one is a men's watch which makes it an easier decision.

My local Tudor Boutique (UK) has a healthy stock BB Burgundy in store. However, the BB45 s are sold as soon as they come in. I could not even find one in stock online from nationwide authorised dealers. They are so in demand that the tudor boutique is only receiving them one at a time. I managed to secure one by keeping in contact and it helps that I have built a good rapport with one of the sales ambassador. Love the watch, the best one i've owned or worn.

I own the current GMT “Diet Pepsi” for 13 months now. It’s one of my favorite pieces, it looks fantastic. I like the bracelet, and it’s comfortable. The faux rivets don’t bother me.
The only thing I’m not pleased with is the time keeping. When it was new, it ran consistently +1/2 spd. It has recently slowed down, and is now -8. No change in wearing habits, nor has it been bumped or dropped, etc. I may take it in for warranty service, but honestly, I don’t want to be without it for eight weeks!
Find a very good watchmaker, who will hopefully adjust it on the spot. I got a Grand Seiko which was running +8 seconds a day from new. I took it back to the AD within days, they have a master watchmaker, and he adjusted it in 30 minutes. It’s been almost spot on ever since.
I think the new burgundy has the same dial as the black bay ceramic (black radial sunburst). Does anyone know?
Had the 2nd Gen Burgundy Black Bay and have since sold it. Seeing it on the new bracelet, rubber strap, and thinner case makes me want to buy it again.🤔
Beautiful watches, for sure. I love the new Burgundy as I don’t like the snowflake seconds hand… just too many snowflakes for me. The lollipop creates a beautiful balance. Now, if only there was a date option on the 41mm…
I hope the new metas on jubilee comes out in different color ways. I just ordered the green sea(weed)master so I may be looking at my local AD for the burgundy as my first Tudor.
Ridah, what is your wrist size? The 54 looked good on your wrist! I feel it will be too small for mine. I have 7,5 in a they are flat and wide. My sub 41 looks on my wrist like the 54 did on yours!

I just went to Tudor in LA and put my name down for a burgundy black bay. They didn't have any to try on or look at in person but they did have the 54. I think it's just slightly too small for me personally. It's s a lovely watch, but excited to get hands on the burgundy though!

Looks really cool. I'd like to see more models without the foe patina. As a ETA BB owner I just don't want a second foe patina watch. I really like the lollipop second hand, just makes it different but IMO not different enough for a BB owner to buy a second.

Almost pulled the trigger on the Pelagos 39 because I love the more pronounced coin edge on the side of the bezel. Now the 54 and the jubilee BB have got me like 😏😏

The BB54 is a greatt size, but the BB58 is the more elegant looking of the two in terms of proportions. The dial-to-case and bezel- to-case ratio of the 58 works in its favour. Compare the two and the bezel seems slimmer and the dial not as cramped.

Lovely. Tell me, Why do you call 70hours power reserve a “weekend watch”? I thought power reserve doesn’t matter if you’re wearing it, and 70 hours won’t last Monday to Friday when you are not wearing.

all of the reviews talking about the burgundy BB and no one talks about the thickness of the case, has it been reduced ?
my AD confirmed it has indeed slimmed down. it uses the Same Case as the Black Bay Ceramic . tried that one on at the AD and even though its on a Strap it was Pretty Good on the Wrist thickness wise. IIRC its down to 13.6mm including the Domed Crystal.
Congratulations on the new watch’s it’s stunning. Tudor will surpass omega in the coming years. Tudor have been absolutely nailing it with all these releases.

Good question, light brown staining which will deepen to goldish dark appearance in time, is expected, yes! Unsure if Tudor had done something to it this year! just my thinking

The crown seems disproportionate & that thickness. I do think the 54 is a home run, it would have been nice to have an option for the 5 link bracelet and or possible a burgundy bezel would have been fun.
Q: why wouldn't they use a ceramic bezel insert for this new watch? I really don't get it. The bezel insert is such a prominent feature of this watch and ceramic is a much better quality material than aluminum for the bezel insert. Please respond with your thoughts. Thanks
Aluminium colour is much, much deeper. Love the ceramic in black but coloured ceramics are usually disappointing

The 54 looks great on the paper, even if 36mm are my dress watch size. I have a small wrist but 39/40mm is absolutely fine for sport watches with a bazel. Yet as mentioned I was super exited until I saw video of people wearing that: it’s a rectangle. Proportion are just wrong, as there weren’t okay on the discontinued explorer 39mm. Is ugly on the wrist.

After pondering between the 54 and the BB pro, and try the BB pro and BB 58 first hand, I’ve kinda locked my choice with the Burgundy jubilee 👌🏼 just have to wait till they come to my local AD

As I stated in a similar thread, whilst the 54 is gorgeous it is dimensionally too small, for many of us, to meet the criteria of how we have come to view a traditional sports watch. To this end, the 58 is perfect. It will be interesting, once the hype has died, to see whether its appeal endures- for those of us with an average sized wrist and above. Of course it's a unisex watch, however, in practice....we shall have to wait and see.
100% agree . tried the BB54 at my AD today ... found it too small . also tried on the new BB36 with Gilt Dial and although the Case was smaller then the BB54 because its not a Diver Style i found it to be much better proportioned to my 6.8 inch wrist. the best of the Bunch so far IMO is the BB39 Blue dial .. the dial in person is Exceptional. if only the BB41 Burgundy was in stock i could've made my decision but alas its TOO popular already according the AD.
@@justinlangley9522 I think we're on the exact same page. I've been waiting for the SS 39 for a while. I owned the 36 for a bit, but sold it in the end as it was too small. I agree that for the two tone different rules apply. What holds me back though is the gold capping... .Good luck with your decision making!
